Ottawa to Fredericton - 2007
[Home]
In the spring of 2005 I decided I would complete my cross Canada tour by riding to Halifax, NS. Unfortunately, during
training, I injured my knee. I still made the attempt, but barely made it out of the city. After a couple years of
healing, I decided to make a second attempt on Halifax from Ottawa. This time I spent the entire summer training, and
left in September, once the tourist season had finished. Unfortunately, my knee gave me some trouble and I ended up
quiting in Fredericton, NB. I still had a good trip, although now I have to go back to New Brunswick at some point in
my life and finish it.
Upon my return to work, my colleagues presented me with the above plaque. Unfortunately I did not continue the roadkill
count so I cannot fill in the final provinces. I did however have another useless goal (which I spontaneously started
on the second day of riding) of trying to prove that the employees of
Elliptic Semiconductor are dominating the world. I have concluded that there
still is some work to do in this regard.
