Temagami 2020

Summer 2020... a season of cancellations due to Covid. Kat and I had planned to be mountaineering in the Monashees of
British Columbia, after
which I had intended to follow up with a ten day hike with Deb in Banff. Both trips were cancelled, and we all were
looking to get out into the woods for some time away from the world. Katharina suggested a canoe trip, and Debbie was
talking about her Canada high-point list, so I proposed a couple of route options in Temagami to hit up the highest
point of Ontario. After some discussion we decided to tackle Ishpatina Ridge to its fullest and make an attempt on all
three major summits of this range located in a fairly remote area of the Canadian Shield. Bill joined us as Deb's
paddling partner and the result was a mixed paddling and hiking trip, where we spent as much time hiking as we did
paddling.
