Donna is going to a museum committee meeting. She lost patience with Victoria's insinuations and informed her that she and Michael were not sleeping together. Enter Michael.
Vince perceived that Jake was checking up on Kathleen and asked why. Jake told him to talk to Catlin.
Sally refused to let Catlin drive her places although she appreciated the offer. She assured him she wasn't scared. She said she loved him and he left. Felicia called to say she'd be late for the museum meeting at Rachel's. When Sally went outside she got the feeling there was someone there. [Brittany is officially Out, no one knows where.] Receiving no answer she got into her car and drove away.
Jake assured Vince this was a Precaution and went home. Vince phoned Larry and demanded answers. He wants to see Catlin. [This sounds like an order. Ick.] I suspect they've trashed the Vince/Ada and are headed for a Vince/Maisie. Poor Maisie.
Catlin arrived at the precinct and Larry told him of Vince's call. Catlin has no answers.
Michael explained the wager to Vic. She asked if he still loved Donna. He said he didn't have to answer but when he did it had to be truthful. She asked Donna if she loved Michael. Donna was forced to admit that she'd said Michael still looked the same. She bragged of her honesty. Michael dredged up the loss of Love money lies.
Sally arrived at Rachel's still being paranoid about being followed again. She refused to let Rachel call Catlin. Rachel was forced to admit Brittany had wormed her way into the committee. Sally smiled wanly and said it was all right.
Michael knows all. He offered to pull strings for her. She fell over herself in her gratitude. He left. Donna yelled at Victoria. Vic rambled on about true love. Donna told her how wrong Jake was. She can't help break up Jake and Marley because of the wager. Vic said she'd get Jake back.
Jake returned to say Kathleen had called everyone in Cass' address book. Vince paid Jake his wages. Jake appreciates this job but he's going for something better. Vince asked about Victoria. Jake said nothing was going on with her. Vince was a jerk. He suggested Jake was marrying the wrong woman.
Brittany bragged of her new committee place to Peter and Donna. Peter and Chris are going to the state capital. Britt's faith in Peter is disgusting. Donna and Britt refused to drive together. Brittany said the way Donna drove someone could get killed.
Aunt Liz flipped out when she heard Brittany was coming to the meeting. Sally couldn't shut her up about Britt and Donna and Sally and Catlin. Donna arrived. Rachel decided the time had come to announce her stand. She told her to leave Peter and Brittany alone. A lot of bitchy things were said. A stranger arrived, followed closely by Felicia. Brittany's arrival is horribly pending.
Brittany left the Loves'. Michael joined Chris and Peter. It was mentioned that Brandon* Love's death was a vague affair. [Brandon and Mary. TOO obvious, guys.] Vince told Jake he couldn't lie to himself about his feelings. He advised him to back off and find a whole woman he liked instead of two halves. Jake said he loved Marley and Victoria would just have to lump it. Vince told him he was young.
Donna bitched right up to the break when Brittany arrived. She could have been a little more subtle. Quinn came close on Britt's heels with Lily. Donna asked Sally's opinion of Britt's doneness.
Jake has had about enough of Vince. [haven't we all?] He stomped out. Vince approached Michael's table. Michael denied checking out the family. He said even if their respective children didn't marry he'd still drop in at Mary's Place. Exit Michael. Vince told Jake he didn't trust Michael. He is a member of the Love family. Jake stuck up for him. Mary's death is a touchy subject. The sign "MARY'S PLACE" arrived.
Michael found Neal in the stables chatting with Vic and ordered him out. Quelle blackness.
Chris in nervousness phoned Nancy for luck. He couldn't find her. Maisie wished him luck.
Catlin and Larry assured Vince it was just a precaution, having Jake creeping around. Vince asked for the unvarnished true opinion of Cass' fate.
Getting nothing out of Sally Donna turned to Liz. Liz fled. Lily said she almost felt sorry for Brittany. [That's the worst of Donna's unsubtly.] everyone adjourned to the terrace except Britt and Donna. Donna suggested Britt announce the truth about the baby.
Neal called Michael a hypocrite. Michael was adamant. Exit Neal. Michael warned Vic not to drape herself unclad all over Neal and told her to let Jake go. Vic relies on Nancy.
Michael began investigating Switzerland.
The Ewings have no idea beyond the involvement of the mob.
Britt threatened Donna and Sally. Donna told Britt Catlin would give the baby to Sally to raise. As Sally entered Britt made vague threats about what would happen if Sally got in her way.
* Editor's 2025 note: In hindsight I suppose they did not refer to Father Love by name in this scene. He had been Brandon until they started using Reginald in a few weeks when Brittany's baby needs a Love name.↩
