ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

March 1, 1985

MJ and Kathleen recalling Carter as a shy boy. Discussing weddings in general and arguing about who will be next. Each claims the other. Kathleen's had the same wedding party in mind for years: only major cast change is with the groom. She's gone through 6 potential ones. "Someday my prince will come," she warbled. Enter Cass.

Lily arrived with Tom's dress. Tom rushed off to try it on. Quinn's happy and excited. Tom: I think the seamstress have the wrong bride in mind (holding up a black glittery number with a black boa).

Vince from the florist. The McKinnon gift is a massive cheque. Carter's pleased.

Carl and Rachel called. In the background Ada yelled "Ask her about Nancy." Rachel heard and Carl cut them off. Ada raved about Nancy never having done aught to Carl. Mac deduced that Carl is still in Bay City. He thinks the police are no good and they have to find Carl. He's going to buy a lot of investigators -- results no matter what. Ada's unhinged.

Rachel asked Carl about Nancy. He got angry and threw her onto her cot and told her he was in control and all the Corys belonged to him.

MJ left to shower. Cass had the wedding explained to him. Kathleen invited him to the reception. He professed allergy to matrimony but he gave in. He offered to help her get dressed. She showed him out. MJ returned unshowered. MJ: Is he coming? Kathleen: Well, to the wedding reception. He says that wedding ceremonies give him the heebie-jeebies. MJ: Well maybe YOU can change that. REALLY WICKED LAUGH. Exit Kathleen.

Ada told Marley that Nancy was far too sick to go to Tom & Carter's wedding. Marley wanted to see her but Ada wouldn't let her. She left disappointed but unsuspicious. Ada wishes Carl would let them talk to Nancy. Mac spoke of faith. He says they'll beat Carl.

Grant gave Carter his grandmother's wedding ring.

Lily's trying to find Tom's dress. Tom's on edge. "If worst comes to worst I can always get married in my bathrobe. At least it's the right length." Touching pre-wedding talk with Quinn. Quinn gave her the Chicago things. She's thrilled. Tom's depressed that Nancy can't come. Lily returned. Tom: You got my dress! Lily: (almost sotto voce) I got a dress not your dress HI MARLEY HONEY. HOW YOU DOING? Marley: Fine, thanks. Tom: Wait a minute, wait a minute. You got A dress not my dress? Lily: Honey you're gonna love it. Tom: Whose dress is it? Lily: What's the difference? It's yours now. Quinn: Lily, what are you talking about? Lily: We couldn't find the first dress Thomasina's dress so we had to find something else well honey this is it. Tom: Is it LIKE the first dress? Lily: Not quite that simple. Tom: Oh, no. Lily: But you're going to like it better. Tom: OH, NO. Lily: My finger's crossed that it fits. Tom: OH, NO. Quinn: Honey stop saying that and go and try it on. Marley: I think the bridesmaid should give her a hand. Tom: Oh, no. Marley: Come on, I bet it's terrific. Quinn: Lily, what if it DOESN'T fit? Lily: I'll cut my wrists.

Mac's poring over 1966 newspaper clippings looking for stuff about BRANDON LOVE Donna's father. He's made a link from Carl to Brandon to someone called Chapin at an art auction. (Chapin - Love - Hutchins. CLH. Hahahaha.)

Rachel thinking about Nancy in her many moods. Every one appealing.

At the chapel. (Thomasina Todd. What a name. Tom Todd.) Lily sang the processional. Ceremony. A heck of a lot of kissing the bride on Carter's part. Jake roaming free with his camera. And back to Smiley's. They managed to lose the bride and groom on the way over. They're out back discussing her beauty and love. She gave him the honeymoon. They're happy. He's going to be a good father. He SAYS. Tom said they'd give their baby what neither of them had -- 2 parents. Cass is having fun at the reception. No heebie-jeebies. But he'd be having still more fun doing something else. Kathleen said it would be rude to skip out before the bride and groom arrived. And there the matter rests. Jake is pursuing Marley with his video camera. She doesn't like to have her picture taken. He can't see why. Carter and Tom came in. Toasting. Grant dancing with Tom. Carter nabbed Quinn. Lily: Is there a extra man around here somewhere? A youngish shortish person swaggered up. She said something along the lines of "You'll do." Tom was next deprived of her garter. Grant caught it. Tom threw her bouquet. Kathleen got it in a panic threw it away. Cass got it and got rid of it very quickly whereupon Maisie got it and was thrilled. Tom & Carter left. Cass & Kathleen deemed it safe to run back to his place.

Mac wants to try to counteract Carl's device. Carl's fingerprints were found in Perry's room.

Rachel asked Carl about Nancy. She's so young and means a lot to Perry. Don't hurt her. Let her go.

Cass and Kathleen at his place. Kathleen: Is something wrong, Cass? Cass: No, no. I was just thinking about Carter and Thomasina. I mean, to say forever and ever to someone. Kathleen: They LOVE each other. Cass: Yeah, but it's so FINAL. Kathleen: Marriage is an institution that has lasted for CENTURIES. Cass: Oh, really? I didn't know that. Kathleen: Well it is a big step I know but they LOVE each other. I have to give them credit. Cass: I'm not putting them down. I'm just saying that it's -- um -- just not for me, that's all. Kathleen: It's not -- well, for others, um, like me and you it's um (choke, choke) thanks but no thanks. Cass: No wonder I'm so crazy about it. We think alike. She said she had to go home. He said it gets lonely. She was talked out of it.

MJ left the Corys. Mac and Sandy haven't told the police about this Love Chapin Hutchins thing.

Carl talking practically to himself with Rachel there. He had to see Perry and Nancy was there he didn't plan it. He left. It's not apparent whether or not he killed her. Rachel took fits.

When a man's an empty kettle
he should be on his mettle
and yet I'm torn apart
just because I'm presumin'
that I could be kinda human
if I only had a heart.
I'd be tender I'd be gentle
and awful sentimental
regarding loving art
I'd be friends with the sparrows
and the boy who shoots the arrows
if I only had a heart
picture me a balcony above a voice sings low
"Wherefore art thou Romeo?"
I hear a beat -- how sweet
just to register emotion:
jealousy; devotion
and really feel the part
I could stay young and chipper
and I'd lock it with a zipper
if I only had a heart.

I should think EVEN SALLY would get a little suspicious if Peter kept finding Catlincrimes.

Lily's song: Here we are on earth together it's you and I god has made us fall in love it's true I really found someone like you. Will it stay the love you feel for me will say that you will be by my side seeing me through until my life is through well in my mind we can conquer the world.

Thou art sweet thou art sort of grandish thou outlandish cavalier from now on we're hand-in-handish Romeo -- and Guinevere.

Can't you see Thomas Ian Griffith and Mary Page Keller really hating each other like Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont (the bit where he's crawling up her arm in a scene saying through his teeth as he smiles and kisses her "You snake" and kindred statements)?
