ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

June 17, 1985

Victoria is with the Loves at the hospital. Disguised. The doctor told them they could lose Marley if her body didn't develop immunity vair' quickly.

"Don't WORRY. I didn't get where I am without taking chances / oh -- and one more thing about Ewing. He's not as ugly as you are." Adrienne rang off and chatted with Brittany. She told her she'd known a deaf person named Mary once and asked her name. Brittany behaved as though she were deaf AND slow-witted and eventually wrote down that her name was Brittany. Adrienne eyed her speculatively and said it was pretty.

Everybody's worried about Kevin. Mac ordered his security men to scour the grounds.

Kevin's trapped under something. "Sally" he called feebly. "Brittany. Somebody help me. "

Jimmy [the guy at the Plains Motel] came to talk to Adrienne. She was inclined to be garrulous and tell him everything then and there but he said he didn't care if that broad was deaf blind and dumb she wasn't to talk business in front of anyone. They went to the back room to talk and Britt left.

Liz said all she knew was Catlin and Sally had gone camping. Brian said they had probably gone to Bennington Park. Ada objected on the grounds that it was 200 miles north of there but Liz said they could be ANYWHERE. Ada blames Nancy. Rachel said Mac was right and they should stop blaming and start working. Ada said "MAC WAS RIGHT? That's the first time I've heard that in a long time." Rachel said "Well this time he is." she called Clarice to ask if she'd seen Britt with Kevin. Clarice offered to help but there's nothing they can do. She told Larry about it. She asked about Burt and whether he'd been drinking. She said she'd put coffee on and suddenly came out with a "Is it me Larry? You've changed ... things are so different ... am I not enough for you any more?" He said that wasn't it. She asked what was.

Donna cried. Vic asked about Marley's chances. Donna says she has to live. Nancy and Jake arrived. Peter explained the situation to them. Nancy was distraught. Donna tried to get rid of Vic before Nancy saw her but Nancy caught a glimpse of her and went weird. Donna blamed Jake and told Nancy fiercely not to tell a soul. Nancy said it must've been Vic at the Plains Motel two months ago. Vic denied it. Nancy persisted until Donna shut her up. Nancy went to take a call from Ada. The Loves asked Jake what Nancy meant. He said she was probably just trying to relive every moment with Perry. Nancy said Kevin was missing and she had to go. Jake offered to go with her but she said he'd needn't and leapt onto the elevator. Vic said "I'm the one who needs you, Jake."

Bridget has been instructed to keep an eye out for Kevin. Rachel admires Mac in this situation. Nancy arrived upset and eager to help search.

Jake told Vic Nancy had a tendency to exaggerate and the Loves would think she was making a mountain out of a molehill now. Vic's worried about Marley. She doesn't want her to die.

Peter's flipping through Cosmo [sex life on the decline, dearie?]. Donna is bitching about Jake causing Nancy to find out. Peter went to the cafeteria. Donna overheard a nurse say to Dr. Edwards that Marley's Dr. Hartman thinks that imperfect sterilization caused the infection. She taxed him with it and he admitted since she'd ordered cutbacks they can only afford to keep two operating rooms going and so the sterilization of these rooms had to be done hastily and sketchily. Donna got upset. He tried to comfort her.

Larry told Clarice all she had to do was trust him. Brittany appeared. Clarice told her about Kevin. She left in a hurry.

Britt went to the Corys' and demanded a flashlight so she could help look. Mac and Ada were reluctant but she insisted.

Donna told Peter what the doctor had said. She blames herself for being mercenary. Peter comforted her.

Liz is worried. Kevin is still under whatever. It's raining.

Britt saddled up a horse and thought about their picnic spot. "Be there, Kevin" she said. "Be there. "

Jake said he had to leave so as not to arouse suspicion. Vic got upset. She's not sure she can handle suddenly being a Love. He thinks she'll figure it out. He said the last thing they needed was for her to go crazy. They wish he could kiss her good-bye. He left.

Peter yelled at the doctor. The doctor said he didn't blame Donna. Peter told him to tell her.

Britt rode and called to Kevin. She found the sign language book he'd dropped.

Mac is having Kevin's disappearance broadcast over KBAY. Nancy feels so awful. Ada doesn't blame her any more. Nancy told her Marley was worse and almost let it slip about Vic. She doesn't think she can face Liz.

Britt found a boarded-up hole in the ground and called down it. She pulled off the board and went in.

Adrienne called Larry's. They made arrangements to have a good time on Wednesday [her day off]. Larry: Well, what would do like to do? Adrienne: I'm easy. Larry: Well. I'm glad to hear it. And he said he'd call her from now on. She said "Say hello to the little woman for me." He told Clarice it was Burt on the phone. She made a fuss about going out with Burt AGAIN. He said he was going to fix the drip in the shower first.

Rachel kissed Mac because she felt like it. Because he's kind.

Britt guesses is it must be an old mine.

Clarice thought about Larry. She called Rachel to ask about Kevin. She told Larry he was still missing and perhaps it was better Sally and Catlin didn't know. The worst nightmare is something happening to one's children. She said sometime she forgot he wasn't really Cory's father. "Yes I am. He's my son," said Larry. "Kevin and Catlin," she said, and get "There's something about Ewing men that makes them good fathers." [When one is the father of most of Bay City and Cheyenne, one gets good at it. Practice makes perfect.] Clarice doesn't want anything going wrong with them to hurt Jeanne and Cory. He said nothing was wrong and she shouldn't get upset. She is upset. He left without saying he loved her.

Peter asked Vic when she'd got into town.

The doctor comforted Donna and gave her other causes of the infection. Donna said Marley was everything to her and begged him to tell her she'd live. She cried and cried. He said he couldn't.

Liz is exhausted but determined to look. She says Sally will never forgive her. She cried. Sally called. Mac told her he had bad news.

Britt found Kevin.
