ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

May 31, 1985

Catlin took fits at MJ proclaiming Larry's innocence [I s'pose he's akin to one of Carl's clarions of angels]. MJ said she couldn't do anything. Catlin said a number of things about what she owed Larry. Larry appeared and Catlin told him to tell her he was innocent.

Bridget's worried about how about get Marley back. Peter's been hanging about the house. Victoria talked about how much he loved Marley but had a hard time hiding his upsetness. She's vastly impressed with Donna's abilities in that direction. Victoria said she didn't think she could leave.

Donna told Peter she could see that Marley was getting much better. He told her to tell her about being her mother before she died. Donna was reluctant. But she will.

There's a fuss and the paper about Larry's corruption. Jamie's wild. Mac will do what he can. He told Jamie all about Fred Albertson being annoyed with him and Peter saving his hide. Jamie's suspicious of Peter's convenience.

Peter and Donna depend on each other. She wants him to talk to Marley after she tells her and they'll call Nicole tonight. Peter has to go to the party.

Victoria wants another day. Bridget says it's wrong and there's no time. Vic's insistent. Bridget said she should let them love her for herself and not for Marley. Bridget loves her. Vic won't leave. She said she [Bridget] would do what she [Vic] said. Bridget said she wouldn't she'd do what was right. She picked up the phone and said "I won't let you do this. I won't." enter Donna "What won't you let her do, Bridget?"

Cass called Daphne and asked her to be his date. She's in Chicago ["The gusty city"]. She will. He was pleased. Wally asked about her. Wallingford: THE Daphne? Cass: what do you mean, THE Daphne? Wallingford: THE Daphne that you and Kathleen are using as the rope in your tug-of-war? Cass: you've a real gift for imagery. Wallingford: She's going to go to the party with you? Cass: That's right. I thought it would be nice if I could introduce her to some of my friends, Mac Cory, Felicia -- Wallingford: Well, she'll also get to meet some of your enemies. Cass: I have none. Wallingford: Peter Love will be there. Cass: Oh, HIM. Wallingford: And Kathleen. Cass: Hey, Kathleen is NOT my enemy. She may harbor some ill-will towards ME, but I certainly feel nothing but goodwill for her. Wallingford: Which is precisely why you're taking this Daphne dame as your date to a party you know Kathleen's going to. Cass: Wallingford, do you think this would UPSET Kathleen? Wallingford: NOOO. Cass: Oh, if I had thought THAT Wallingford I never would've asked Daphne in the first place. Oh well, [regretful sigh], too late now.

Kathleen asked Jamie why he was weird. He told her Mac had chewed him out. She told him all about wonderful Peter. He's suspicious. She's not. He wants her to have MJ call. He's concerned about Larry.

Catlin's taking fits. Full of concern for Larry [sounding like he's on the verge of bathing his feet]. He yelled at MJ [for typing, I think]. Larry told Catlin he was out of line. Catlin wants to talk to Larry alone. MJ can't let him. Catlin said she could watch through the window. Larry told Catlin MJ was just doing her job. Catlin told him all about how rotten Clarice was feeling [for which MJ praised him. "GOOD, Catlin " she said.] Bail is $100,000. Enter Mac.

Liberace called the inn. He's coming right over. [Wally heard only "Lee" and Felicia's distraught with the party arrangements so when she was given a message she said "Great, great. Just what we need, a gatecrasher. "]

Mac talked to MJ. Apparently large sums of money have been deposited into an account in Larry's name over the past year. He says he won it gambling. Mac doesn't believe Larry is guilty. MJ keeps saying the department has to investigate. Larry and Catlin appeared. Larry's been suspended.

Victoria [in her drippy Marley voice] told Donna she'd been trying to get out of bed and Bridget was concerned for her. Victoria wants to have dinner with the family. Donna wants to talk to her first alone. She sent Bridget out. Vic really pressed for dinner downstairs. Donna told her she loved her more than anything and needed to tell her something. Nancy interrupted coming to visit. Donna told her it wasn't a good time but Nancy burst into tears and said she really needed to talk to Marley. Donna left. Nancy cried about Perry being dead. Vic just kept saying. "Yeah. Yeah, it's awful." She exploded when Nancy started to talk about him falling. She then said she was sorry.

Felicia is dedicating her book to Perry. Something was delivered for her. A CAKE I THINK.

Cass told Daphne all about his other job offer. He wants her to see his mess-to-toast Deirdre. But she's out of the country right now on her grand tour he says. Cass went to get ready. She called someone and told him she'd been invited to the party and she'd see him there.

Larry and MJ must be plotting something. She thinks he's too involved. Catlin wants to talk to MJ. Larry's not telling Clarice.

Kathleen told Felicia about Daphne etc..

Mac and Jamie [in the form of Mac with Jamie slightly reluctant] thanked Peter. Cass appeared and Peter biffed off. He introduced them to Daphne. He's in a sunny mood.

Clarice is concerned about Larry. Catlin left to meet Sally at the cabin. Clarice wants to be held.

A strange man known to Felicia called Gerhard appeared. He told her he had set it up. She was practically swooning. She went to get Nancy for their kindness to Perry bit. Beloved of all of fond of all. She told of the dedication of the book. They're going to have a wonderful time for his sake. She gave Nancy the original copy of her book because she loved him.

Lesoleil means the sun. There's a sun on the cake. Gerhard is talking to Daphne. Kathleen is piecing things together. Gerhard and Daphne see that she sees.

Donna went to Marley's room. Drippy voice. Tell me, just tell me. Donna told her about the boy she'd love again. REAL LOVE. Beautiful autumn. Cool and clear. She cried when she saw him. She found out she was going to have a baby.

Clarice tried to do things for Larry. He's all right. The kids are elsewhere. The police searched the place last night. Things going to get worse he says. She told him it was all right as long as he told her he was innocent. He said he was and he loved her. She said she loved him.

MJ told Jamie she couldn't say anything.

Kathleen couldn't get anything out of Gerhard about Lesoleil. Wallingford was more concerned about what she couldn't find out about his relationship with Felicia.

Nancy and Mac left.

Gerhard has a gift for Felicia. A bequest from an old friend. She opened it.

"From the first moment I learned I was pregnant I was so--happy. And then I realized that we couldn't get married. You didn't know Daddy, but--um--he wouldn't allow it. He sent him away because there would've been a scandal. So he built the room, the hidden room in the wine cellar." "He put you in that room?" "Well it's what I wanted. It was best because that way I could have my baby and I could be with her. And I would've done ANYTHING for that. I would've done ANYTHING." "The baby." "I'm glad that you have his hair. He had beautiful blonde hair." [NOT CATLIN.] "You're my child, Marley. I'm your mother." Sound of a young girl's jaw dropping to the floor.
