Cass told an unconscious Kathleen he couldn't cope with her being dead or incapacitated because he wouldn't be able to make fun of her or anything. He has to save her life by some Great Means and all she has to do is be all right.
Liz is helping set up the flea market. She's trying to talk to Rachel about the shocking warrant for Cass' arrest. Rachel doesn't want to talk about it. Liz wants to blame Carl. Enter Terry wearing glasses [and looking adorable] recalling Carl's warning. Rachel unpacked the jar.
Chris motioned to Nancy to backup, shot a bush, and raced to retrieve his quarry.
Marley told Carl she'd never help him. He wants to know where Chris & Nancy are. He grabbed her wrist and hurt her.
Victoria suffered pain in the wrist and called out MARLEY MARLEY.
Carl told Marley he had the upper hand. She said she hated him. He said she didn't. She said she didn't know where Nancy and Chris were. She tried to run away but he caught her and bound her to a bit of his Jeep by means of his white scarf. He tied the horse on behind and drove away to look for Chris & Nancy. [Marley is seated in the Jeep.]
Victoria told Bridget she could feel Marley was in Dreadful Danger. It's the twin thing. She intends to enlist Jake's aid. Bridget suspected her of using this to get close to Jake. Vic wants to help Marley.
Donna took a fancy to the blue jar and offered to buy it. Rachel Giving Her a Hard Time said it cost $50. Terry jumped in and offered to buy it. Donna protested. He offered $60. Donna holding the jar sneezed horribly. The day was saved when Kevin caught the jar. Donna asked Rachel to let her think about the jar and melted away. Rachel told Terry she was having such fun with Donna he'd have to wait. Donna has attacked Dee to ask about Marley. Dee was evasive but Donna guessed she'd rushed off. Dee assured her Marley was fine.
Marley refused to partake of Carl's wine. He drove merrily along.
Nancy and Chris have stopped for lunch. Shared beef jerky and beans. He's saving the bird for supper. He's going to restore Nancy to her rightful owner. She pled with him [cf William as Algernon] successfully. After a lot of chat and kissing, mostly kissing. Nancy rejoiced.
Cass reminded Kathleen of more Good Times so as to make her mad and warm. He stoked the furnace.
Vic met Jake at Marley's and told him her story. He was irrational but she convinced him with trembling voice. Marley's up against Evil. Jake said they'd find Marley. Dee returned. They asked where Marley was.
Nancy is not satisfied with the size of caveinitial. Chris: you know you have a very bad attitude about cave things? Nancy: CAVE THINGS. Is that the science, cave things? Chris: all right, all right, look, this cave could go on in there. The Star God could be hidden in there. Nancy: oh, pardon me, I forgot that caves have FOYERS. He kissed her and left her to guard the hole with instructions to yell at regular intervals.
Carl spotted the remains of last night's campfire and hoofprints to follow.
Dee doesn't like Victoria. She noticed the staff was gone though she didn't know where Marley was. Jake deduced its source had been Nancy and called the Corys accordingly. Everyone's at the flea market. Jake and Victoria fled for Saints Church.
Mac is stuffing his face. Kevin told Rachel he wanted the jar for Sally for Christmas but he didn't have $50. Rachel assured him they'd been funning Donna and said it was 50¢. Liz was delighted and regretfully told Terry he couldn't have it. Rachel recognized him as the exterminator.
Cass made small talk while rummaging through Kathleen's purse for matches. She came through for him [in the matter of matches]. He promised it would get better.
Terry promised Kevin anything else he might want but Rachel intervened and sent him about his business. They think he's strange. Enter Jake and Victoria to ask where Nancy was. Rachel told them she was at Lesoleil in Arizona. They want to know when she'll be back so as to have her at a party. They've decided to go to Arizona.
Nancy is out of her wits because Chris has been gone 1½ hours. He came in from the other side and scared her. He had found an opening out of the side of the cliff and had to climb down. No Star God. No time to rest. They are not so scared together.
Carl followed the hoofprints.
Bridget advised Victoria to stay and look after Donna.
The horse got loose. Carl went back to get it. Marley leaned over and drove off in spite of her bonds.
Cass told Kathleen the cavalry would come soon. Difficulty: although the beautiful girl is always rescued, the more beautiful the girl the longer the wait. Montage of fun times [orange knees [he was wearing The Coat], chocolates by firelight]. Cass' proposal: "all right, you win. I'll make a deal with you. First you get all better. That's the most important thing. And then when you're all better — I'll marry you. And then you know what we're going to do? We are going to have a little girl with red hair and blue eyes just like you. And we'll be happy. SO HAPPY. [sob. Sob. Sob.]" [Even Catlin didn't spring the children on his intended right off — he just told EVERYONE ELSE about them.]
Victoria gave Jake money and said she had to minister to Donna. She asked for a kiss goodbye. He obliged expressing his desire for her company and fled. Bridget expressed approval.
Chris and Nancy galloped along the dry riverbed.
Marley got the Jeep stuck in the sand and spun the wheels frantically. Carl caught up and shoved her out of the way. He turned it off and hit the car. She said he'd never find them. He tied her to the horse and rode off forcing her to follow along. They then fell down a cliff. Marley lost her hat and her hair came out.
