Padowski told Felicia he'd read all her books. Passion's Edge is his favorite. She offered to send him an autographed copy. He said he was a fan of her TV show. She said he could come to a taping. She asked him to let Mitch tend bar for her. Mitch appeared and was appalled.
Cheryl and Scott were put into a room to wait until their testimony was required. Cheryl fretted. She's afraid.
Nancy was sworn in. "I thought Nancy McGowan was my friend," Brittany bitched. The judge called a halt to the proceedings. [Why is Nancy less of a friend because she's been called by the prosecution? "You can't control who sends you flowers."] He made sure everyone (especially Brittany) knew there were to be no disruptions. Peggy got Nancy to explain when she'd heard Brittany threaten Peter. That's all. Nancy agonized over ruining Brittany's life. Peggy called Ada.
Felicia pled with Padowski. Mitch didn't appreciate it. Padowski said he'd think it over. Felicia told Mitch he was hired. He said he quit.
Michael has only vague recollections of the fight. [he referred to the Pig Whistle as the Pig 'n' Whistle, which is really truly not far from the Sperry Hutchinson building, ja.] He is determined that Donna should be cured. Nicole looked after him. "No backtalk, buster." He appreciates it. Masterson phoned to tell Michael he had been subpoenaed. Nicole said she'd been, too.
Ada testified to the threats she'd heard. Zack proved CONCLUSIVELY that she couldn't have heard anything worthwhile because she didn't know Brittany very well. Peggy asked for a surprise witness. The judge forbade any more showboating but agreed to allow it just this once. Peggy called Julie. Zack freaked out. [He's such a suck.] He begged two minutes to talk with his sister.
Michael and Nicole went to Mary's Place. Jamie started talking about reality. Michael ignored him.
Felicia told Mitch since he was on parole he had to work. He said he didn't have to work for her. she asked where he'd get a better job.
Zack forgave Julie. [Big of him.] He told her not to worry and to answer the questions. She was sworn in. She testified to what she'd overheard [the same as Ada]. He proved CONCLUSIVELY that since it was the same as Ada's it was practically invalid. Brittany is convinced the jury hates her.
Michael assured Jamie that someone, somewhere would fix Donna someday.
Cheryl fretted. Scott reassured her. she's quite irrational. She was summoned. Scott told her she'd be alright. He told her he loved her. she pulled herself together and got herself sworn in. She testified to what she'd heard. Zack cross-examined and bullied her into admitting she'd been hiding because she was cutting class and wasn't supposed to be there. So she was nervous. She refused to be swayed from her testimony. [I was proud of her.] They let Cheryl go and called Scott.
Michael found Victoria in his room. She got upset about Donna. He reassured her. He apologized for putting her in the middle of his longtime feud with Reginald. Nicole appeared. Michael decided to move his business HQ into the stables. Victoria went for a drive. Michael is building her into the daughter he wants.
Jamie took food to the courthouse. Mitch sent his regards to Brittany. He engaged in Christmas & Michael chat with Maisie. He ordered eggs with brown sugar. She told him a guy had ordered that in Smiley's. Mitch said if 'twas a short black-haired guy 'twas his cellmate who had taught him that. Maisie agreed to the description. She shuddered. Enter Felicia.
Scott testified. Zack left him alone. He was released.
Michael told Masterson to move the office into the stables. Nicole told him Reginald would be wild. Michael doesn't care.
Felicia agreed to taste Mitch's disgusting eggs if he agreed to take her job. They argued.
The judge broke it up. The press went wild and questioned Cheryl in a disorderly fashion, asking irrational questions about her testimony and her relationship with Scott.
Nicole told Michael she thought Donna would approve. He asked why Reginald hated Donna so much. She said she didn't know and he'd always been like that. He asked about the parental state at the time of the birth of the twins.
Felicia attempted to reason with Mitch. She offered her friendship. He was mistrustful. He told her he wasn't worth it. She threw a fit and said he wasn't, at that. He calmed her down. They're friends. She tried his disgusting eggs. He took the job.
Cheryl screamed. She was separated from Scott in the crush. He rushed to protect her from the press [these are the people who pushed John Ciardi off a tall building *]. They asked what his interest was. He yelled "I love her" several hundred thousand times.
* Inside English class joke in which the press are blamed for a completely fictional murder of John Ciardi whose "How does a poem mean?" had annoyed me.↩
