Brittany ignored Peter. He became alarmed when she calmly dipped into her purse.
Kathleen fretted because Cass went out looking for Cheryl. Two important members of the wedding party missing is not good for her Peace of Mind. Felicia attempted to reassure her.
Discretion is the better part of valour. Cass heard shots and cowered beneath the steering wheel of his car.
Scott and Cheryl discovered they were stuck in the sleeping bag. (What, did they BALLOON in the night?) The zipper is caught on her blouse and they can't get out. (Does the expression "couldn't fight their way out of a paper bag" mean anything to you?) Wriggling didn't work. Their struggles ripped Cheryl's blouse. She went crazy. Scott started laughing at the thought of what her family would do if they saw them. Cheryl started laughing too.
Kathleen paced. She asked Felicia what if Cheryl and Scott were fooling around. She said Vince would go crazy and he might refuse to let Scott's mother come to the wedding. Felicia advised her to keep Cheryl's absence from Vince and everything would be fine. Vince phoned. Kathleen became glassy eyed and cheerful.
Brittany laughed at Peter for being afraid his wife wanted to powder her nose. She proceeded to wield a disdainful powder compact. She seems very pleased with herself. She doesn't fall to bits when he mentions the paper giving him custody of the baby. She said it was a big waste of ink. He warned her never to doubt his legal ability and left. She phoned Jamie and asked to meet him.
MJ served drinks and avoided a lot of pinches. Adam sat in a booth sleazed up. Letty chatted with her. MJ told her she didn't have to work the streets. She wants to help. Letty ignored her and ordered a drink. She suggested they talk about old times and retired to a table. MJ avoided a pass with a well-placed elbow. The passer took offence and made as if to smash her when her back was turned. Adam intervened and prevented bloodshed. MJ told him in a loud voice she could take care of herself.
Kathleen assured Vince Cass and Cheryl were with her and fine. He didn't say anything about Mary. Felicia was unable to reassure her.
The hunting scum the other day found Cass in his car. He told them he was looking for a pretty blonde girl and a dark haired guy. They snickered and told him about the "honeymoon couple" in the cabin over yonder. It's an hour's walk. They forbade him to drive and scare the fauna.
Felicia gave Kathleen her word Cass would show up. Kathleen got hysterical. Enter Mary. They pretended nothing was wrong. Exit Felicia. Mary borrowed Kathleen's car to make sure someone close to her didn't ruin his or her life.
Scott and Cheryl gave up trying. They set up a contrived joke about chemistry. They heard a nervous-making noise outside. Cheryl was scared.
Adam attempted to chat up MJ. She pleaded worry about Cheryl. She told Letty she had a break in a couple of minutes. MJ bitched about the Loves. Adam reminded her that something good had come out of this mess: finding her mother. MJ has mixed feelings about that one. Adam assured her things would get better.
Brittany asked Jamie to produce blood tests to prove the baby wasn't Peter's. He was only too eager. She found Peter and told him it was his last chance. She asked if he would let her and the baby go. He refused. She told him that she had the perfect weapon to shoot him down and said he was dead. Julianne and Ada overheard.
Cheryl and Scott rolled over and over. It did no good. He tried to get her blouse out of the zipper. They rolled back.
Mary advised Donna to marry Michael. Donna got upset. She accused her of being there at Reginald's instigation. Mary denied it. She said she was trying to undo some of the damage he'd done. Donna asked her to leave. Mary urged her to do whatever it took to marry Michael.
Jamie went to the Pig Whistle. MJ told him to go away. Adam butted in. The cousins quarreled. MJ asked Jamie to leave. He did. She told Adam to leave. He was offended. He backed off but told her to yell if she needed help.
Kathleen inspected the phone. It's working. Felicia promised her there would be a wedding. Kathleen flew into a panic. "SOMETHING OLD SOMETHING NEW SOMETHING BORROWED SOMETHING BLUE. where are they? I KNOW I HAD THEM FROM THE LAST TIME THERE WAS NO WEDDING."
The woman rushed into the Pig Whistle and said a woman answering Letty's description was dead in the alley. MJ and Adam hopped to it.
Vince dropped by Kathleen's to see Mary. He gave her an envelope.
Scott asked Cheryl if he could kiss her. She gave permission. Awkwardness. Kissing. Enter Cass.
Brittany returned home. She told Peter he didn't scare her. He seemed slightly baffled. She told him she had the upper hand.
