Lisa and Vicky wished Jamie could be with them. Vicky drooled about ski instructors. When Lisa went to dress Vicky phoned the doctor with whom she had pled. He confirmed that he had switched with Jamie. Vicky was pleased.
Jamie asked Michael for directions to the ski lodge. Michael referred him to Donna. Mary appeared. Michael told her Northrop was dead.
Rachel found Mac abstracted. As they left for the office Sam and Amanda came in the other way, just missing them. Amanda admired her ring. Mac and Rachel reappeared. Amanda rushed into their arms. She displayed her ring. Rachel said that she was thrilled they were so happy. Mac had to force it a little more.
Michael told Mary he suspected That Old Carrot had had Northrop killed and advised her to tell what she knew. Adam appeared and promised nothing would happen to her. Mary said she had to talk to Jason first. They headed for the farm. Jamie got through to Donna.
Vicky was very relaxed and friendly with Lisa. Klaus the ski instructor is on his way over. Tall and blonde and good looking Klaus. Lisa was impressed with him. Vicky insisted on a two-hour lesson for them. She hustled them out.
Sam assured Mac he loved Amanda. Mac was a bit difficult. Sam made a speech. Mac softened somewhat. They're all going to the office in the limo together.
Jason refused to talk to Adam. Adam was summoned to another case. Michael tried to persuade Mary and Jason to talk. Mary agreed with Michael. Michael assured Jason that he hated That Old Carrot because of Donna. Jason said he thought That Old Carrot had killed Elizabeth.
Vicky and Lisa cut the lesson short. Vicky insisted that Klaus was interested in Lisa. Adam phoned and asked Lisa to come back because of a missing child. He was very apologetic but Lisa assured him she wanted to help. Vicky was disappointed that Lisa had to go. She almost told her that she had arranged for Jamie to come up but thought better of it.
Scott prepared for court in Mary's Place. Cheryl told him about her modeling for Nicole. She enjoys it, even though it isn't exactly socially beneficial. Cass has pointed out to her that she could use the money for a great education, which is important to her. She made sure she knew that he could talk to her. He said he couldn't because if he started talking he wouldn't be able to stop. He left with tears in his eyes.
Julie Ann and Aunt Liz admired Amanda's ring. Mac arranged a celebratory lunch. Everyone drifted away. Amanda went to talk to Mac about his non-acceptance of Sam. He asked [with concern] if she was absolutely certain that Sam would have asked her to marry him if she hadn't threatened to have an abortion. She insisted Sam loved her and she loved Sam. Mac promised to keep an open mind.
Jason admitted he had no evidence. He mentioned Mary's memory. Michael immediately conjured up a neurologist.
Vicky insisted on staying even though the radio promised excessive snow. Lisa left. Vicky was delighted.
Mac recalled hearing that Amanda was pregnant and then fighting with Sam. Rachel found him feeling bad that he couldn't warm to Sam. He's concerned that Amanda's giving up a lot. Rachel said she was gaining a lot. Sam approached the door and overheard Mac say he didn't think Sam was giving enough to make Amanda happy. Sam came in with his rebuttal. Rachel left them alone. Sam insisted he loved Amanda and the baby and wanted to make them happy but he would do without Mac's blessing if he had to.
Michael admitted it was in his interests to have Mary recover her memory. He and Mary discussed his Doubts about Donna. Cheryl overheard Michael telling Mary to keep her appointment with the neurologist and tackled her about it.
Vicky feigned surprise when Jamie arrived. He asked where Lisa was.
Mary assured Cheryl it was nothing serious. Cheryl was not appeased. Mary asked her how old she'd been when the picture of Vince was taken. Cheryl said she'd been a baby. Mary said she thought about 3 months old. [Cheryl is not in the picture, you realize.] Cheryl recognized a returning memory. Mary said she was afraid of remembering something she didn't want to know.
Mac cancelled lunch and assigned Amanda to write another article on Nicole. Amanda is looking forward to using the name Fowler in her byline.
Vicky admitted that Adam had summoned Lisa back. Jamie was disappointed. Vicky tried to convince him to stay and ski. She called him chicken when he tried to leave.
