Vicky challenged Jamie to one run. He stipulated that it had to be down the killer slope. She was apprehensive but game.
Adam and Lisa dropped in on Michael. He told them about Jason.
Donna and Felicia drooled over Amanda's ring. Felicia said it looked as if Nicole was the only woman in the building without marriage on her mind. Cass and Nicole walked in as Donna suggested Nicole might be racing them all to the altar. Donna was forced to retract her statement. Amanda was reluctant to let the story drop. She was distracted by Cass' admiring her ring. She ordered a wedding gown. Felicia hustled her off to discuss Monte Carlo. Nicole gave Donna a severe talking to. She went on about not having time for a relationship. Cass overheard.
Adam and Michael recapped Jason's entire story. Adam decided to reopen the file. Lisa said she'd been thinking about Donna ever since she'd heard that her mother's death wasn't suicide. She had actually got hold of the name Elizabeth, so she's been thinking about the actual mother. [Marley's middle name is Elizabeth.] Adam took notice. Lisa said it could help if she had something of Elizabeth's.
Amanda told Felicia their talk ABOUT THE WORRIES THE CHARACTER IN HER BOOK HAD HAD had helped her make up her mind about the abortion. Well. Felicia was glad. Amanda can't believe she even considered it now. Mitch burst in. He grew quite eloquent about the joys of having Amanda in his family. Donna poked her head in. Amanda followed her out. Mitch told Felicia he'd run into Sam at Brava and Sam had seemed preoccupied and angry rather than joyous. Donna and Amanda returned. Mitch started setting up his photo shoot. Enter That Old Carrot.
Michael asked if anyone had ever thought it was strange that Elizabeth had killed herself and then burnt the house down. He asked if she'd mailed the note before she killed herself or after. Adam found she'd mailed it the day before. Michael suspects the coroner of being on That Old Carrot's payroll. Lisa fiddled with a ring and sensed Donna and danger. Michael picked up the phone.
Donna ordered That Old Carrot out. He ignored her. Amanda dashed over to ask about the fact that they need two planes to fly to Monte Carlo, one for people, one for fashions. Donna said that was the only way they could get enough insurance coverage. That Old Carrot looked thoughtful. Donna told Amanda to go talk to Cass. That Old Carrot offered to help out with a jet. Donna refused and walked away. Everyone decided to ignore him although Mitch was itching to bounce him. Donna was left alone with That Old Carrot. He suggested that they should take another jet because planes had been known to go down. The phone rang. That Old Carrot answered it. He refused to let Michael talk to Donna. He wouldn't tell Donna who had called, just to show he was in charge.
Michael dashed out of the police station.
Vicky limped in, assisted by Jamie. She has hurt her knee. She took her pants off so he could cure her.
Nicole told Amanda that her Bay City salon was enough, she had no plans to expand to New York or anywhere. She was surprised to hear that Cass had vague plans for striking out on his own. Michael rushed in and up the stairs. He found Donna alone and unperturbed. Everyone else followed. Donna was thrilled that Michael had rushed to her aid but said she'd got rid of That Old Carrot by herself. They discussed the fact that Peter had gone to New York and liked it so much he'd taken a job lawyering on Wall Street. Michael suggested Donna spend the afternoon with him. She said she had to work but Nicole and Felicia insisted she go. Cass was abstracted. He left the room. Felicia followed him. Mitch shot Nicole [photographically, not fatally, alas].
Vicky got a little chilly without pants. Jamie wrapped her legs in a blanket while he iced her knee. He prodded her and pronounced her more or less healthy. She had him feel her shoulder just for the sake of having him prod her. Eventually he got uncomfortable and said they had to go home.
Cass was evasive. Felicia said he was feeling funny because of all the wedding talk. She hinted that there was a love interest very handy. He told her what he'd overheard. Cass said he was a butterfly and not the sort to stay in one place. Nicole overheard Cass telling Felicia he honestly wanted to drift.
Adam speculated that That Old Carrot might intend to kill Donna or something. Lisa doubted it. Jamie bounded in and explained to Lisa that he had just missed her. Lisa looked a bit peculiar to hear he had skied the killer slope with Vicky.
Michael told Donna he cared about her and the baby and he didn't want any harm to come to them. He invited them to come and live with him. She asked why. She asked if it was a proposal. Upon finding it was not, she walked away. He said they had to start somewhere. She capitulated. Vicky limped in on them kissing. Michael went to make her some hot chocolate. Vicky did not kick and scream when Donna told her Michael had asked her to move in. She went up to bed. Donna wondered why Michael had asked her to move in.
Felicia told Cass she just wanted him to be happy. She left him alone. Nicole inched down the stairs.
Vicky brushed her hair and relived the day with a smile on her lips.
Michael kissed Donna.
Adam left Lisa and Jamie alone. Lisa kissed Jamie.
Cass brooded on the couch. He caught sight of Nicole, who looked hurt and headed back upstairs.
