From 5 to 5:30 every evening, we had to put everything on hold and appreciate the sunset. I was chatting with Mario (dive instructor and barangay captain, who has lived on Apo for most of his life) one evening on the west-facing beach. "I don't know why the tourists always get so excited about the sunset," he said with a smile, "It happens every day."
