To celebrate Canada 150, and our National Parks, Debbie picked out a new adventure for us; Hike both the Coastal Trail
and the Mdaabii Miikna Trail in Pukaskwa National Park, which is located along the north shore of Lake Superior. We
ended up bailing on the extra day hiking the Mdaabii Miikna and only ended up doing the Coastal Trail, which was a great
six days of fairly relaxed hiking for 65 km. A group of 7 of us made the trek; Debbie, Glenn, Ivan, Krista, Murray,
Pat, and myself. The views were spectacular, the campsites gorgeous, and we even managed a swim in the fridgid
waters of the lake almost every afternoon.
- Day 0 - Boat taxi from Hattie Cove to North Swallow Harbour
- Day 1 - White Spruce Harbour
- Day 2 - Fishermans Cove
- Day 3 - Fish Harbour
- Day 4 - Willow River
- Day 5 - White River
- Day 6 - Return to Hattie Cove
Deb also put together a video of the whole adventure:
