I slept with the fly off last night and awoke long before sunrise shivering in my bag. After getting out briefly to take a pee, I threw on another layer of clothing which kept me warm until morning. Deb and I had coffee and breakfast down on the beach and then packed up as the others went about their morning routine. We all hit the trail about 08:30 and Ivan took the lead setting his deliberate but reasonable pace. The trail today was qquite a lovely smooth walk through the mossy forest, where ripe blueberries tempted us to stop frequently to snack, and then rose up to higher ridges where we walked across open rock slabs. A highlight was a descent down to, and then along a long pebble beach, which was both beautiful, and very pleasant travelling along the cobbles. We stopped for a break at a campsite near the far end of this beach where someone had left their trace by spelling out the park name in stones along the beach. We had lunch high up on another ridge and then a continued easy walk brought us to our campsite in the early afternoon, which gave us plenty of time for swimming in the pretty bay and relaxing with hot drinks along the shore. This is the third of seven campsites, and none so far have been short of stellar. We are beginning to realize that there is no such thing as a bad campsite in this park.

Pebble beach to hike along.

Sandy beaches as well.

Another beachside campsite.
