An early morning thundershower kept us in our tents until late, both because of the weather and because we really did not have far to go today. After a lazy mid-morning brunch we left the camp set up and hiked for about forty-five minutes to Devils Chair lookout. Just after leaving camp it decided to pour rain, but we continued anyway, getting quite wet as we slogged through endless fields of boysenberry bushes filled with bear scat. At our destination lookout, the partial view through the trees at some rocks in the water was not very impressive so we descended down to a campsite along the shore which gave a much better view of the "Chair".

We hiked back to camp and set up a tarp over the picnic table for a relaxing lunch under our makeshift shelter. We contemplated maybe just staying here for a second night, but ultimately the rain stopped and the sun came out. With warm and drying spirits we packed up and moved camp to Chalfant Cove. This took about one and a half hours with a nice lookout point above Indian Bay. The campsites here are "cute" with each having a private little sandy beach. We settled into the second one as it had the nicer view and was equipped with a picnic table.
