Eighth Skate on the Rideau Canal
My eighth skate on the canal was a solo skate on bumpy conditions (although rated "good", it wasn't). The temperature was about -8°C with a -14 windchill. With a big spring melt coming tomorrow, this will probably be my last canal skate this winter.
Seventh Skate on the Rideau Canal
My seventh skate on the canal was a solo speed run, 35 minutes north and 27 minutes south. The temperature was about -7°C with a -14 windchill.
Sixth Skate on the Rideau Canal
Kathryn came along to skate the canal for the first time this winter, having mostly recovered from her skiing injury. This was my sixth skate on the canal. The temperature was about -15°C with a -19 windchill.
Fifth Skate on the Rideau Canal
My first winter sports since the accident a week ago, today I did a solo 16 km skate on the Rideau Canal, end-to-end and back starting at Hartwell's Locks. It was about -4°C with a -11 windchill and not very busy on the ice.
Skiing P16 to Healey
Today's ski was another 10 km solo from P16 to Healey and back via Trail 50.
