ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

June 3, 1985

Felicia has been left something by Monsieur.

Marley called for Donna. Jake called her "Hon" and comforted her.

Vic: you're my mother? Donna: please don't hate me. Vic: the stable boy is my father? Donna: he was kind, like you are, he was wise, and kind. Vic: and all those years you never told anyone. Donna: I know I could've told you after Mother and Daddy were gone. Vic: but you kept it inside. Donna: I know you think I'm a coward and you're right. But I wanted you to be happy and I didn't want you to hate me. Vic: you did all of that. Donna: Marley--I know that you might not understand and I can't expect you to understand. Vic: I don't. Donna: but if you'll just please tell me that you don't hate me please.

Gerhard announced to the gathering that he was the executor of Edouard Gerard [better known as Monsieur]'s estate. Movie star. Felicia's been left 50% of Lesoleil. Murmurs from most of the crowd and shouts from Cass and Kathleen. A toast to Lesoleil. Felicia is now incredibly rich. The McKinnon girls are thrilled to death by Felicia's acquaintance with Monsieur. They shrieked and giggled [although in a much more tolerable fashion than Nancy and Marley] and intended to ask her all about him. Jamie was mildly disgusted but not really. Michaud Christophe gets the other half of Lesoleil. Monsieur loved Felicia very much. He's been missing for seven years so legally the will must be executed but he's not necessarily dead. Peter asked Daphne all about Michaud Christophe. She believes him to be a genius. Cass appeared and dragged her off to "Meet people". She perceives that he's not too fond of old Peter. He asked who the new director would be. She said something about surprises. The piano player is playing "I get a kick out of you" I just realized. Monsieur was not on good terms with his son Albert after Albert's marriage. Albert apparently went to Africa [I'll bet he's Zane]. Albert had Monsieur's eyes. Felicia loved Monsieur.

Vic doesn't hate Donna. She was somewhat appalled by what Donna had gone through but Donna opined it had all been worth it to be with her daughter. The stable boy doesn't know. Donna loves Marley so much because she's like her father. Vic said she might be more like her than she knew. A lot of weeping. Donna wants to hold her as her daughter. She was permitted. More weeping.

Marley moaned and said the shot made her forget things. She asked where she was. Jake told her she was in a friend's room. She asked for Donna. He said he'd take her home but she had to rest and he wouldn't let anything happen to her. She wants to go home.

Kathleen asked Daphne all about Monsieur and Felicia. Daphne thinks it would be untoward to gossip about them. Michaud is coming here. Kathleen figured out that Michaud would make the decision himself. Daphne called her a shrewd woman. Felicia told Wally about Paris 1967 and Monsieur. So exciting and he wanted her. He was strong and kind. Wonderful in every way. Hurt in some mysterious way as a child [like Carl. Sort of. ] became a recluse. He discovered Michaud who discovered Daphne.

Donna told Victoria to rest. Vic asked for Bridget. She thanked Donna for everything. "Thank you my angel," replied Donna courteously and left. "My mother. She's my mother." shaking sobs. "I have his hair." Enter Bridget. Victoria told her all. They decided no one knew there were twins. Bridget said they'd probably given her gas. "Who did this evil, wicked thing?" Vic entered into this long tirade about how Marley was loved because she was like the stableboy and she theorized that she would be unloved for being like Donna and selfish and angry. Vic raved about how they'd known which one to keep. Bridget says they've got to bring Marley back.

Jamie was chagrined to discover that Peter had made a great impression on Albertson. MJ sent greetings to Marley. Pause. "Oh yes. She always loves to hear from the McKinnons." Peter biffed off. "Ouch. " said MJ. They love talking to him. Kathleen and Cass exchanged insults. Not entirely amicably. They're happy for Felicia. Kathleen thinks she'll win the bet. She told him his hold on Daphne was no good because Michaud would make the decision. It's up to the owner. Felicia flitted by and they separated lickety-split. Felicia talked to Carter about the apartment. Grant overheard.

Donna found Vic out of bed. Off they went to raid the refrigerator. Enter Jake and Marley by the back door. They rushed upstairs with Bridget [Jake doing most of the rushing. Marley's unconscious]. Vic and Donna returned with plans for cocoa and toast. Donna wanted to tuck her in but she was accosted by Bridget who insisted she could smell gas and sent Donna to check it out. She made Vic relinquish her robe and leave.

Grant was mad he hadn't been told. Carter has a math exam tomorrow. He went to study rather than talk. Kathleen pumped Gerhard about Michaud. He said very little. Less, really. Gerhard left promising Felicia a chat later. Wally perceived that Grant was upset and decided to send him home and stay to clean up himself. Felicia said she'd stay too and sent him to cheer up Kathleen.

Donna was pleased to find Marley resting [asleep]. Bridget said she'd look after her and left them alone. Marley's eyes fluttered open and she whispered "Donna." "My baby" replied her mother.

Grant yelled at Carter. Carter would rather pass trig than talk. He stormed out.

Liberace dropped by the practically deserted Northwoods Inn. Felicia was pleased to see him.

Daphne took Cass home. He suggested Bay City as the American base for Lesoleil.

Jamie kissed MJ rather a lot not far from a hollow in her throat, I'd say. [From the outside.] He asked her wistfully if she were sure about not moving in with him. "Not tonight" she said. He left. Kathleen was sitting at the kitchen table brooding on the respective merits of careers and sleeping alone. She went to bed. "Poor kid" said MJ.

Liberace played "Memory" alone. Followed by "As Time Goes By". Wally left. Liberace likes Felicia's friends. And her restaurant. He played chopsticks with her. They broke up into laughter.

Peter was kind to Donna. Donna sees how much sicker Marley is.

Victoria told Jake all about everything. She's worried about what will happen when they find out Marley doesn't know. Jake doesn't think Marley has much time. Vic has to reveal herself tomorrow.

I love this party. It's provided me with such a lot of new names.

Gerhard--German of Gerard, hard spear. Edouard--French of Edward. Rich guardian. Albert--nobly bright. Fred [Albertson]--diminutive of Alfred [elf counselor--hence, wise], Wilfred [resolute peace], or Frederick [peace ruler].

A completely unnecessary extra: Tristan/Tristram [dim. Tris]--confusion. It isn't that lovely. Poor dear Tris no longer Dr. Who.
