Scott tried to explain to Cheryl. Captain Delaney tried to interrogate her about Vince's phone call. This was the first Scott had heard of it and he got upset with her for not having told him.
Michael ran into Jamie at the hospital. ["you see, I heard this nasty rumor that Reginald was actually getting well."] Jamie seems to think he's a trifle callous. Michael said he was determined to get the truth about the photograph. Reginald hove into view and asked if he really did. Michael demanded that he show him the photograph. Reginald was no help. Michael went to be persuasive with Bridget. Jamie asked Reginald why he had summoned him. Reginald thanked him for his help and tried to persuade him to become the new head of the new family medicine department in the Love hospital. Jamie wandered off, refusing everything.
Cheryl denied knowing anything. Ada told Captain Delaney to lay off her. Cheryl said Vince sounded sick. Scott said it would be best to tell the police what she knew. She called him a traitor. She was thoroughly unreasonable.
Vince got into a truck. Mary caught up with him and tried to stop him. She ran around and climbed in the passenger side.
Bridget denounced hypnosis as unnatural. Nicole and Michael coaxed her. Peter eavesdropped. Bridget recalled a photograph with a torn edge. Michael asked where Reginald had come from that day. Bridget thought. Peter knocked something over.
Jamie told Ada that some penicillin had gone missing from his bag. She admitted nothing. He warned her that unprescribed penicillin could be dangerous and fatal. She said if she saw any of it lying around she'd try to remember it.
The Edwardses had breakfast together. Zack has no good news for Brittany.
Cheryl thought about Vince's advice. Never settle and don't hurt anyone. She told Julie she was worried about him. Ada reassured her.
Mary got the keys away from Vince. He told her she would go to jail for aiding and abetting. She said she would aid and abet whomever she chose and he couldn't drive. She threw the keys out the window and smiled a very satisfied smile. A policeman rolled up and asked her to roll down the window. Vince turned his face away.
Peter denied eavesdropping. Nicole and Michael didn't believe him. He went back to his merger. They went back to Bridget. She said he'd come from the study. They went to the study.
Jamie was surprised to hear from Julie that Mac was going to New York City alone. Rachel didn't know and she usually goes.
Zack bugged Quinn.
Scott told Reginald about Vince's phone call. That Old Carrot described vividly the horrible sight of Vince McKinnon running at him the night of the heart attack and expressed fear lest he attack him again. Scott reminded him that he hadn't seen who it was. Reginald insisted that it could have been no one else. He assured him they'd get their women back.
Mary assured the officer that everything was fine and Vince wasn't bothering her. Vince coughed. The officer asked to see his driver's license. Vince coughed. Mary decided the time had come to act. She told the policeman [indignantly] that her husband was sick and trying to get to a bar for a couple of belts. The policeman advised Vince to take his wife's advice. Mary turned to Vince triumphantly and told him he had better do what the policeman said or he'd find himself in big trouble.
Zack is fed up. He complained to Jamie that Quinn was too cold with him. [I hated his attitude.] * Jamie encouraged him to try again. Zack approached Quinn. She tried to get rid of him. He said he wouldn't take no for an answer. She congratulated him for his good advice which she didn't take and now she's broke. [I hate her, too.] She stomped out. Zack followed her. Julie told the father it must be love.
Jamie lapsed into idiocy. He imagined his dream girl reading fortune cookies, promising wild romance. Julie thought he was nuts. He explained.
Bridget said that the books shouldn't be on Reginald's desk. Michael flipped through them. He found a picture with a torn edge. "oh, no," said Nicole. Michael threw things. It was only a picture of the Marleys on their 18th birthday. Michael's last hope. [He said even if Donna did come back she wouldn't be the same person.] He wept a little. Nicole told him not to give up. He said he wouldn't. She promised him everything would be all right.
A Nurse Colby told Jamie something about Donna's chart. He rushed out.
Scott asked after his mother. Ada assured him she wasn't at home and advised him to stick around. He drifted away. Matthew drifted in. His depressed because Mac is going to New York and Rachel doesn't know.
Scott attempted to reason with Cheryl. She was unreasonable.
Ada reassured Matthew.
Quinn told Zack she had risked [and lost] no one's money but her own. Zack got an idea. [his office is so small they keep bumping into each other.] He looked through files. She keeps yelling at him because he hasn't said "I told you so." He told her he cared about her and didn't want to see her get hurt.
Mary got Vince back to the apartment and told him she wouldn't chase after him any more. He bugged her about her life in the lap of luxury. She said she wouldn't let him keep throwing that in her face. He accused her of being too fond of the Good Life to question That Old Carrot's stories. She got upset and said if he treated her like this seventeen years ago it was no wonder she'd left him.
Zack and Quinn argued. She told him she didn't need his sentiments, she needed a lawyer with a bigger office. She collected her things and stomped out, even after he'd threatened not to come after her.
Peter reported on Michael's investigation to That Old Carrot. Reginald assured him that his people had taken care of it. Everything is under control. They can't have Michael interfering with Donna's treatment.
Michael prepared roses for Donna. He ran into Jamie at the door. Jamie has news.
Mary admitted that her life in Paraguay had been perfect and she hadn't wanted to look for anything else. Reginald was wonderful. She cried and assured Vince she was paying for her happiness now. Vince seemed moved. Scott came a-knocking at the door.
* No one would ever think of badgering a man like that if he felt like putting business above his personal relationships, especially with Zack. I hate this.
