Chad reminded MJ that he'd bailed her out of some tight spots. She thinks he has a warped view of reality. He told her he wanted information. Tony kept glancing over.
Cheryl went to the gazebo and thought about Vince telling her always to reach for the best but not to hurt anyone. Scott appeared. They heard sirens.
Michael dashed into the Love drawing room. Nicole explained what had happened. Reginald gasped to Mary that he loved her. They bundled Reginald into the ambulance. Jamie thinks it was a heart attack. Mary went with Reginald. Michael wants to know if Vince was actually seen. Michael took Nicole to the hospital.
Chad asked MJ about her undercover work. She told him to go away before he blew her cover. She said her badge was very important to her and she wouldn't do anything to jeopardize her career. He told her he loved her for her high moral standards and moved away. Tony started bugging MJ again. She threatened to call the cops. He stomped off. MJ told Chad she'd tell Felicia about him and get him fired. He threatened to expose her. [It was an oblique threat, but it was there.]
Vince returned to his room with his map breathing heavily. He heard about the heart attack on his radio.
Scott told Cheryl she was the most beautiful girl he'd ever met and he wished their fathers got along better. She was gratified. They heard the ambulance coming from the Love mansion and went to investigate.
Mary hopes that Reginald won't die.
MJ asked Chad not to make her tell him about her undercover investigation. He tried to remind her of what they'd shared. She said they'd been kids. He said what they'd had was like a marriage, only better. [I guess I can see how living off the avails might be fun for him, but no Nice husband does it.] He moved off when Adam came in. He was worried about her hand. She rushed him out saying she was dying to leave.
Nancy bandaged up Greg's hand. Tony came back. Nancy explained what had happened. Tony told her he was afraid Greg might hurt her. He insisted on talking to him.
Scott and Cheryl arrived at the hospital just in front of Nicole and Michael. Mary told them about the heart attack. Michael asked Mary if she'd seen Vince. Scott got upset. Cheryl got upset with him. The doctor came out and said Reginald wouldn't calm down until he'd seen Mary and Scott. They rushed in. Peter arrived. The doctor wouldn't let him in because Reginald hadn't asked for him.
Greg is better. He told Tony he was just fine and he wished Nancy all the best. Tony: she cares about you, man. Look, just because Nancy and I are together doesn't mean that you to have to lose your friendship. Greg: ENOUGH. I'm trying to bow out of this gracefully and you're starting some FRATERNITY here. Nancy: you guys, come on, calm down. Greg: just tell your boyfriend not to do me any favours, all right? Nancy: Greg — [he stomped out. Nancy followed. Enter MJ and Adam.] Adam: do you think it was the food? [MJ smacked him indignantly.]
Vince phoned the hospital and found out that That Old Carrot was in critical condition.
Peter was uncivil to Michael. Michael told him he was sorry about his father. Peter turned on Cheryl and told her he blamed her father. She cringed away from him [rather as Dorothy did from the Wicked Witch] and denied it bravely.
Reginald milked the situation for all it was worth. He told Mary and Scott he was dying. They were much moved. He told them he loved them more than anything. He is quite shameless. [I suppose it would be too much for him to be faking.]
Tony saw MJ and identified her. He interrogated her and Adam about the investigation. Adam took him aside and told him it was confidential. Tony said the public had a right to know. [what a jerk.] Adam told him he could put MJ's life in danger if he blew her cover. Tony's story is more important. MJ hates the Pig Whistle. Adam told her he'd talk to Mac. She told him [s]he was going to get out of the vice squad.
Linda met Chad in the Pig Whistle. They're baffled by MJ's lack of cooperation. They have a pretty good thing in Bay City. Greg stopped in and ordered a drink. Linda tried to pick him up.
Scott came out and protected Cheryl from Peter at the top of his lungs. Michael was a comfort to Mary and Nicole. He asked her about Vince. She said she didn't know and fled.
MJ hates vice. Adam said they'd talk to the captain in the morning. She hates the outfit. Adam thinks it's kind of cute. He brought up his parents again. He begged her to meet them. She agreed.
Nancy worried about Greg.
Linda had no success with Greg. Chad laughed. She moved on. [It's obvious she's a prostitute.]
Michael took Nicole home. Bridget plied them with tea. Peter is upset that Reginald didn't want to see him. Nicole pointed out that he hadn't asked for her either. Peter decided to prove himself worthy of being Reginald's son. Nicole is distressed. She doesn't want Reginald to die. Michael doesn't either. [It would be too easy.]
Cheryl comforted Scott. He wept. He can't be sure about Vince. She thought about the same thing as she'd thought about earlier. She can be sure.
Mary knocked on Vince's door. Receiving no answer she found him and his belongings gone.
Someone with a severely cut hand watched Linda through a window in back of the Pig Whistle. [Greg the Ripper?]
