ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

May 27, 1986

Cecile gave Gloria an extremely hard time. She figures a man of Cass' ingenuity has found a way back to Bay City and Kathleen.

Kathleen sat with Catlin outside the cabin. He said if he ever found out that someone had hurt Sally and killed her he'd kill him or her.

Michael found Brittany looking drained. She admitted Sally was dead. Enter Donna.

Marley asked Jake if he'd been sleeping with her sister. He said nothing had happened. She said she had evidence. He said that was impossible. She insisted. He blamed Victoria for its manufacture. She said it hadn't been Victoria. He said someone else was lying. She accused him of betraying her and flinched at his touch. He denied it. He denied everything. She refused to believe him.

Brittany went upstairs to rest. Michael told Donna about Sally. Donna said "Oh NO" and "how TRAGIC." Michael asked about the shower. Vic told him to ask Donna.

Kathleen advised Catlin to take time to think. Felicia hove into view. He insisted on going to investigate Sally's death. The women insisted on accompanying him for mutual comfort and support and safe driving.

Jake explained to Marley that he and Victoria had thought they were going to die. She got a little hysterical. He sat her down and said he was going to tell her the absolute truth because she was the most important thing to him. Jake: I held Vicky. Marley: HELD her? Jake: and she held me back. [Sounds odd, that.] A lot of old feelings came back, Marley. Marley: just like they'd never gone away. Jake: I am not SUPERHUMAN, I am not a water faucet [he makes use of this one a lot], I cannot turn this on and off. Marley: so all of your old feelings for Vicky came back. Jake: Marley, I thought I was never going to see you again. I was scared. Marley: I'm sure you word. Jake: I was VERY scared. Marley: Thank you for telling me the truth finally. Jake: what we did is a long way away from making love. Marley: I guess I'm going to have to settle for that. Jake: what do I have to do to make you believe that we did not Make Love? Marley: it doesn't matter. Jake: of COURSE it does. Marley: what difference does it make? The feelings were all there. [WHAT?] and now my second question: what are your feelings for Victoria now, this minute?

Vic listened to the soul selling song and thought about Jake again. "I had to do it. I'm sorry, Marley. I had to."

Michael badgered Donna. She told him the twins had had a falling out and the wedding was off. He phoned Marley's. Jake answered and turned it over to Marley. She told him [Michael] she was fine and this was something she had to work out by herself. He told her he loved her. She hung up. Marley: I'm waiting to hear, Jake. What are your feelings for Victoria now? Jake: I love YOU, Marley. Marley: oh, PLEASE. Jake: listen to me. I'm going to tell you the truth, because if I don't tell you the truth then we have no future. Marley: I want to know how you feel about Victoria. Jake: I have feelings for Victoria. Marley, we were very much in love, we were PASSIONATELY in love. Marley: NOW, Jake. I want to know what you feel NOW. Jake: I AM JUST AN ORDINARY GUY. Marley: tell me, please. Jake: sometimes — I guess I — I still have feelings for Vicky. Marley: I guess. Jake: I try not to, Marley. I TRY to hide them. Marley: you try. Jake: sometimes I — have feelings for Vicky — even when she's not trying. [LONG pause.] OK, now I've told you the truth. [was it at phenomenal euphemism or what?] Marley: yes, I believe you have. Jake: OK, now that I've told you the truth, is that the end of us?

Cecile waxed extremely sarcastic at LaRusso's expense. It is extremely important to her that Cass be recovered. She refused to let Gloria answer the phone, I mean radio, because it might be the king.

Catlin shoved Larry out of the way and read Sally's accident report. As far as the police know it was an accident, although there were tire tracks. Catlin deduced she had been followed.

Brittany slithered around the Love mansion waiting for Peter to call. Michael went looking for Marley. Donna talked about Sally's death and said Brittany probably felt guilty for having threatened her at Rachel's. Britt told her she'd better worry about her own problems.

Jake told Marley he loved her but she relegated their marriage to a would have been. He got upset and insisted he wanted to marry her more than anything. Marley: if the commitment can't be total, why get into it? Jake: you are the best thing that has ever happened to me. Marley: we don't belong together. Jake: you're WRONG, Marley. Marley: we never have. Jake: I love you. You have got to believe that, I LOVE YOU. I wish I could make you understand that. Marley: I do understand. I love you. SILENCE. I'll always love you. Jake: stay. Marley: I can't. Not as long as Vicky wants you and you want her. there isn't any room for me. I'm not going to share you with her, Jake. I'm sorry. Jake: Marley listen. Exit Marley. Jake smashed things and said he'd kill Victoria. He made a phone call.

Brittany telephoned Larry to be sympathetic about Sally. [Donna was revolted with the vulture.] she asked after Catlin's whereabouts. At a gesture from Catlin he denied all knowledge. Catlin insisted that the Police Department investigate Sally's death. Larry told him Kevin was at the cabin and had Kathleen and Felicia propel him homewards. He promised to check out Sally's death to the bitter end.

Donna told Jake Vic wasn't there. She told Vic she wasn't going to have anything to do with him. Enter Michael insisting Vic tell him about the shower.

Cecile can't talk to the king until she finds Cass. She deduced he'd gone to the Redmans. Enter Dickie.

When Dee returned home Jake yelled at her. He was very distressed and loud. Dee told him Vic had spread the word about their affair and asked if it were her fault Nancy had believed her. at the mention of Nancy's name Jake looked like everything had fallen into place and rushed off.

Victoria clammed up. Michael told her she wouldn't hurt her sister any more. Enter Marley capable of fighting her own battles. She has a few home truths for Victoria. Michael hustled Donna out of the room. Marley told her she and Jake were getting married and everyone would know what kind of person she was. She told her everyone hated her, including her [Marley]. Michael refused to let Donna intervene.

Catlin found he couldn't go into the cabin because he knew Sally wouldn't be there. Kathleen empathized. Catlin told her he'd help with Cass as soon as Kevin was settled. Sally's gone but Cass is alive.

Dickie digressed rather a lot before getting to the point: he saw the quicksand hole looking as if it had just feasted on something. He saw something large enough to have been a man struggling.

Marley told Victoria if people loved her [Marley] and not Vic it was because she wasn't lovable. Victoria has no friends because she isn't capable of being a friend. She is a horrible person. Donna burst into break it up. Victoria fled. Marley insisted on leaving without being followed. She told Donna she loved her. Marley: I love you, dad. Michael: [looking thrilled]: what did you call me? Marley: dad. She left abruptly.

Catlin and Kevin picked wildflowers for the funeral. Catlin explained the service [with an adorable catch in his voice] and the afterlife in seven-year-old terms. Hibernation kind of crept in there too. He said it was OK to cry and they hugged each other tightly.

Michael wouldn't let Donna go to Victoria who stomped around in her room sobbing that it wasn't true and what if Marley was right. "oh please God don't let it be right."
