The woman's Jeep failed to start. Mitch investigated and found a melted radiator. They're stuck in the middle of nowhere. Mitch found a clue that the woman had set them up.
Adam rushed off to find Crystal.
The killer and Crystal hung out in the elevator.
Donna refused to believe that the woman was insincere. The woman denied everything and pulled a gun on them.
Crystal and the killer struggled.
Adam found Crystal's room messed about.
Crystal pressed the alarm bell while fighting the killer off.
Adam heard the bell and rushed to the elevator.
Mitch and Michael explained about the undead brother. She took off and got picked up by a car. Mitch set out on his own. Michael soothed Donna. Thunder rumbled.
Cheryl returned MJ's dress very defensively. MJ accused her of overreacting. Cheryl yelled at her about Chad. Vince and Mary came in. MJ told them about the address a little. Vince and Cheryl went off to the kitchen. Mary suggested MJ tell her her troubles. MJ said Adam was obsessed with the case and she was afraid for him. Quoth Mary, "IF Adam is obsessed, I think it's only because he has a REALLY REALLY strong sense of responsibility, and he's absolutely determined to protect you, me, Felicia, your sister, anybody in town." [so unlike Ford. "My doctor says that I have a malformed public duty gland and a natural deficiency and moral fibre," he muttered to himself, "and that I am therefore excused from saving Universes."] She advised her to be there for him. Mary was suddenly struck by the thought that the killer might go after Crystal Gayle.
The elevator was stopped so Adam dashed to the stairs.
Crystal snatched the fire extinguisher from the wall and attempted to extinguish the killer. She sprayed him real good.
Michael and Donna waited for the rain. Michael told her a little about Nam. Carnage. John was a medic and Michael was a sort of helicopter pilot. Michael misses his undead brother. It began to pour.
Adam ordered a lot of men. He dashed for the parking garage, having commanded Jamie to stay behind. Lisa had another attack.
Crystal pounded on the elevator door crying faintly for help.
Michael and Donna huddled under a tarp. Mitch returned and said he'd found the hacienda. They let Mitch in under the part with the hole. Michael got an idea.
The door opened and Crystal fled from the elevator before the killer could recover. [I thought, "Crystal, you LOSER. Why didn't you clonk him with the fire extinguisher and stand guard until the police arrived?"] She staggered down the hall and fell into the reassuring arms of Sgt Cory. He turned her over to some other men and went to inspect the elevator. It was empty. He ordered the building surrounded. He found a wickedness note.
MJ ate. Mary was pleased that they had talked. MJ conceded that she could use a mother. Mary asked about the wedding. MJ said she thought it was the last thing on Adam's mind. Mary flew into a panic about their being able to book the church. MJ accused her of being more anxious than she was herself. Mary calmed down very sweetly. She said she really liked Adam and thought they belonged together. She said she was proud of her. MJ said she was just very lucky. She thought about Chad's "what happened to US?" speech. She told Mary she didn't think Cheryl should be hanging out with Chad. Mary agreed. MJ went out to see what she could do. Mary joined Cheryl and Vince. They chatted about their first date.
MJ told Chad to leave Cheryl alone. He accused her of being jealous. She denied it. He told her not to deny her feelings. She said she didn't have them any more. He said she had been the most passionate woman he'd ever met. She told him to shut up. He said that there was nothing to be ashamed of because they'd been in love. She reminded him he'd rented her out. He said there had been Reasons. She said she didn't care. Mary and Cheryl rushed in and said they'd heard on the news about an attack on Crystal Gayle. Chad took Cheryl aside and told her her picture would be all over town. Cheryl said she got the feeling there was still something between him and MJ. He said he thought MJ thought she was too young to be going out with men. He said he didn't. He denied having been very close to MJ. He went away to get something to give her.
It poured rain. Mitch and Michael funneled water into the radiator. They drank tequila and added a little. They started the Jeep and started out.
Wallingford turned anxious crowds away from Crystal's dressing room. Gary Morris arrived all shaved and full of concern. They went in. Jamie told Crystal Gayle her voice was not up to singing. Adam said nasty things about police protection. MJ arrived. Felicia said she'd go announce that Crystal wasn't singing. Crystal regained her voice suddenly and said she would sing rather than give the killer the satisfaction.
Mary told Cheryl she thought the killer was someone people knew and wouldn't recognize as a threat. Cheryl said she and MJ didn't think Chad was it. Chat appeared and gave Cheryl Brandy Pandy. She was apprehensive. He pinned her name tag on him ceremoniously in place of the MJ button. I feel as though we must be going steady. "For good luck and the future."
MJ was a little surprised that Adam had been right. She had expected the killer to go after Adam or Dr Glaser even. She was left alone in the parking garage and she spotted an arm protruding from a car.
Michael and Mitch and Donna arrived at the Fat Man's hacienda. They got a man to fetch his master. Enter the Fat Man, large in a white suit and funny accent. A lot of bored people pulled guns on them.
Zack and Quinn sat around in Tops. She said silly things about croquet. Felicia came out and made a speech about Crystal Gayle, the wonderful woman. The show must go on. She introduced Crystal and Gary Morris [unbearded, I remind you].
MJ instructed the arm to come out of the car slowly.
Crystal's talking normally. She and Gary sang their new, otherworldly song. MJ opened the car door and Dr Glaser fell out. She sent for Adam and an ambulance. [OK. If it's not Greg I suspect Dr. Glaser. They should test him for fire extinguisher spray. I don't think it's fair, considering that we haven't been acquainted with him all along. But he is medical, a little. And he hasn't been called a suspect in public — a big point in his favour.]
