ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

March 30, 1987

Donna was frightened.

The press pestered Felicia. Jamie attempted to create a diversion by making loud comments about the presence of Dustin Hoffman. Felicia threw in Paul Newman for good measure. MJ's messenger fetched Adam away. The press attacked Lisa about her psychic powers. She yelled for Jamie.

Dr Glaser said he had been attacked by the killer. Adam was solicitous. He took a statement. Dr Glaser described the attack and the attacker rather vaguely. MJ and Adam hollered for Jamie. MJ worried that the killer might go after Adam next.

Jamie rescued Lisa. The press interviewed Quinn. She said very nasty and slightly hysterical things about the killer. Zack was not pleased. Felicia showed the press out. Zack told Quinn she should be careful about what she said in Bay City. She said she might not be in Bay City much longer.

Michael told his undead brother photograph story. The Fat Man denied knowing anything. Then he said the picture wasn't of John Hudson. Michael refused to believe him. The Fat Man burned up the photograph. Michael said he had other copies back home which were to go to the police and the FBI.

Felicia got upset because the killer does so much killing in Tops. She begged Lisa to do something. Adam refused to listen. Jamie leaped to her defence. Lisa said she hadn't felt anything when Dr Glaser was attacked. [You SEE? Not really an attack.] Jamie was disconcerted. She yelled at him.

Quinn said she was thinking of going to California to be with Thomasina because there was nothing keeping her in Bay City. "what about ME?" He [Zack] wailed.

Adam was told they'd found a suspect. He went to see about it.

Jamie pursued Lisa to her room. They apologized to each other. He said one of the reasons he was always bugging her was because he wanted to get to know her better. He suggested they start over. They behaved as though they'd never met. She changed the subject when he mentioned her parents. She came from Topeka, where she knew no one. He suggested a date.

According to Michael the undead brother was born in 1948. [Michael has aged, then. Or else he was three years older than Donna. Could be, although I hadn't thought so.] The Fat Man said the man in the picture was European and things were too hot for him in America. The Fat Man said the nonbrother couldn't stand "hotshots." Michael hustled his party out despite its protests.

Adam asked Dr Glaser to participate in an experiment. He wouldn't tell MJ who the suspect was. He brought up someone in a killer outfit. Dr Glaser said he couldn't say whether it was or wasn't. Chad removed the balaclava. MJ nearly died. She yelled at him for being so uncoplike as to do that. Adam said Chad had had legal counsel. MJ was not appeased. Adam thought she was overreacting because they had done that sort of thing before. He was called away to the phone. Chad pestered MJ. She suggested he leave town. He said he liked Bay City. She was thrilled to hear he enjoyed being a murder suspect. He said he liked his job, and the oysters, [sorry, my mind wandered. "You HATE oysters." "Ain't they repulsive?"] and he'd get everything he wanted, including her. She warned him not to count on it. Adam appeared and told Chad he was free to go, but don't leave town, eh? Chad said a number of insincere good citizen cooperative things.

Jamie promised to be gentlemanly, well lit, and public. Lisa admitted to dancing and eating. He pled convincingly. Felicia burst in with Dr Glaser. Lisa fled to get dressed to go out with Jamie.

The Fat Man very kindly sent an escort.

Zack made a sickening speech proving that Quinn should stay in town.

Jamie asked Lisa why she'd agreed to come out with him. [It had seemed rather sudden when Felicia and Dr Glaser appeared.] She got him to talk about himself. She asked why he'd become a doctor. He said he had thought of it as a child. Then he wrote a novel. Then he got an idea for another novel and researched it in the slums. In the slums he was overcome with humanitarian impulses and decided being medical was more social than being literary. She was impressed. She said she'd better be going. He walked her to her room.

Chad said goodbye to MJ. She suggested he behave himself a little in order to avoid being a suspect. He was touched that she cared. He left. Adam ordered his background investigated. MJ tackled him and ordered him to come home to bed.

Dr Glaser told Felicia he'd read one of her books and she had all of the psychological motivations of love exactly right. She was gratified. They discussed love and stuff.

Jamie and Lisa said awkward good nights at the door. She agreed to a follow-up date.

Felicia agreed to chat with Dr Glaser again sometime. Enter Lisa. Exit Dr Glaser. Felicia interrogated her about the date. Lisa said Jamie was different from what she'd expected.

Michael explained to his followers that John had frequently used the word hotshot, about him, even. And hotshot is so American, he says. So John. Mitch left them in their room. Michael was unable to persuade Donna to go home.

Jamie fantasized about Lisa, and vice versa.

Zack kept bugging Quinn. He said he didn't want to lose her and it hurt to hear her talk of leaving as if he meant nothing to her. Kissing. She fell for it.

Mother berated the killer for letting Crystal Gayle escape. He has to choose a new victim.
