Zane intends to help Britt.
Neal led Catlin & Mac & the police to a suspicious Quonset hut. Mac was impressed. Catlin wasn't.
Zane told Britt marrying Peter wouldn't solve her problem. He told her she always did panic and stop thinking. Felicia appeared and Brittany fled. Felicia asked what was up.
Bridget tried desperately to get in touch with Peter. She sent Michael after him and fretted.
MJ was in charge of Neal's wild goose chase. Mac found a Bay City museum something. A crate.
Peter and Sally did business together. Liz crashed in. Sally stuck some veiled barbs in about Britt under the guise of how Peter ran his business affairs. Peter refused to hear anything more specific about the woman he may marry. Exit Peter. Sally and Liz aren't pleased. Bridget called — too late. Sally and Liz went to lunch with the intention of not talking about Brittany.
Zane refused to tell Felicia about Brittany's problems. The fact that they're married doesn't change anything. Felicia thinks it's admirable but a nuisance. They set to varnishing things.
Mac thinks Neal is the cat's pajamas. Neal thinks he blew it. Catlin confided his doubts in MJ but she refused to entertain them. Thank you, Neal.
Britt overheard Bridget calling Peter and begged Bridget not to tell him. Bridget tried to talk her out of having the abortion but Britt made a great show of going bravely to her doom.
Neal told Mac he'd been lying about negotiating with the marina. Mac thanked him for being honest and assured him he'd find his niche. Mac is impressed with Neal. Thank you, Mac. Neal left. Mac asked Catlin to write up a report. MJ found a jewel from the treasure. Catlin was told to share all of his secrets with Neal.
Larry is back on the force. On the graveyard shift.
Liz thanks Peter should be apprised of Britt's wickedness. Sally doesn't think they should interfere. Liz said Catlin must have really shut the door on Brittany for her to have turned to Peter as her victim. Just think of it, Catlin alone and vulnerable in the cabin yet resisting the temptation of her offers. Sally wasn't certain.
Peter rushed home. Bridget hedged a lot before spilling what she believed to be the beans. She begged him to stop Brittany. He rushed to the clinic.
Rachel doesn't want Neal riddled with holes. She's his favorite fan. He raved about Victoria Love and how she was the woman in his life and he wanted to know her secrets. She said no woman wanted a man to know all of her secrets.
Brittany was given forms to fill out.
Sally did not incline to believe that Catlin was impervious to Britt's attacks. Liz is convinced it's Catlin who put on the brakes rather than boredom on Britt's part. Sally decided to leave and ran into Catlin in the doorway of Smiley's. She said she had a paper for him to sign about changing the registration of the car. He is to drop by her office later. She said that would be nice. Catlin went to sit with Larry and Clarice. He is convinced Sally is a lost cause. The treasure is another brick wall.
Felicia is burning to help Brittany. She said the way he was taking on it sounded like Britt was pregnant. He said not to be ridiculous. She pounced on it and deduced that Britt was pregnant and with Catlin's child no less. [As one who deals in convoluted plots I guess this comes naturally.]
Oh I like to take my time filling out forms. A nurse offered a counselor. Enter Peter. Britt loudly declared that nothing could change her mind. Peter wants to put in his 2¢ worth.
Rachel got upset at Mac because of all the danger he and Neal were in. Rachel likes Neal he's a sort of nifty combination of Mac and Albert. Good instincts, Rachel.
Catlin and Larry agreed that the clues are extremely bogus-seeming. Larry thinks MJ is more suspicious than she let on. Catlin can't figure Mac and Neal.
Zane told Felicia not to interfere. Felicia sees the situation thus: Britt is in love with Peter but carrying Catlin's child and afraid to talk to either of them. Britt is a "poor kid." I don't know where this puts Catlin in Felicia's estimation. Zane said it was Britt's mess and they couldn't do anything. Forbidden to meddle, if she [Felicia] didn't love him [Zane] she'd despise him.
Britt told Peter she didn't want to have a baby alone. He yelled at her. He seethed. She said [pitifully] that she thought he didn't want her. He told her he loved her.
Neal told Fayez he'd led the searchers a merry dance. M. Garbon is on his way.
Peter took Britt to a restaurant. She refused champagne. He proposed marriage [after making certain she was over Catlin and would never lie to him and would respect the fact that it was his child too]; she yelled YES YES YES and fell into his arms.
Sally thought about Kevin wanting to play Monopoly with her and Catlin. Enter Catlin. She was civiller than usual. She couldn't find the paper and said it wasn't important. She told him Kevin missed him. He offered to take Kevin out on Saturday. She agreed and said Kevin had a hard time not being part of a family. He asked her to come too. She agreed readily. He suggested she choose another marriage counselor. She said they'd just take this a day at a time and she was only going with them for Kevin's sake. He told her to call soon and seemed to be taking this rather calmly. She thanked him. He said any time. Once outside he rejoiced.
