ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

June 24, 1985

Marley's not doing well.

Felicia: I'm telling you it was a monster fish. Zane: It was a log, Felicia. Felicia: It was the granddaddy of all time, I'm sure of it. I bet it was fifty, sixty pounds. Zane: Bass don't come sixty pounds, Felicia. Felicia: Oh. Well, all right, it wasn't a bass, it was a salmon. That's it, it was a king salmon. Zane: There are no king salmon within five hundred miles of here, Felicia. It was a log. Felicia: It was MOVING. Zane: WE were moving. You were hooked to a log on the bottom of the lake. Felicia: Well I still don't think you should've cut the line until we knew for sure. Zane: Okay, okay, it was. It was the lunker granddaddy of all time, it was sixty pounds AT LEAST. But I had to cut the line. I just didn't have the two weeks to wait that it would've taken you to reel in that lunker. He invited her to dinner. She left to change. The desk clerk told him Britt had left for the bus station and left a letter.

Jimmy called softly to Larry to come out. Larry did so, took his gun and yelled at him for blowing his deal. He threatened him and ascertained that he had seen only the back of MJ's head. Jimmy said he wouldn't tell. Larry let him go saying he'd get him if anyone hassled him. He left. MJ complimented Larry on his performance. He told her he was going on with this case without her.

Dear Zane. You were right. I HAVE been living in the past, but no more. I'm goin' now to try to close the door on what was. And I'll phone you and let you know how I am. Isn't that wonderful? I can make a phone call now. Thank you Zane, for all you've done. You're my best friend and I hope you'll be very happy. Love, Britt.

Britt boarded a bus for Dry Creek (with stops in Detroit, Chicago, Des Moines.) She thought about seeing Zane with Felicia and Catlin's diatribe about guilt. A salesman came and sat next to her. She was polite to him. "Are you going to or coming from your husband?"

Donna doesn't like Dr Wakefield. She sent Peter to get Dr Edwards. (She LIKES Dr Edwards. A lot.) Vic says she can't lose Marley. Donna disappeared. Peter went after her. Vic told Dr Edwards (who had since appeared) she wanted to save her sister.

Catlin is chopping wood for no known earthly reason, except of course it's probably an excuse to remove his shirt, disgusting man. Zane told him Britt had gone. He thinks Catlin hurt her or something. He said disgustedly, "Don't you have any feelings for her at all?" To which Catlin replied scathingly, "Yeah, I do. DEEP feelings. I want her to be happy JUST LIKE YOU DO." He raved about how she had to get on with her life and understand it wouldn't be with HIM. Zane suggested that he had told her to buzz off. He said he hadn't. Catlin sounds cross. And impatient. (I guess he figures she left because of his Willa speech.) Zane said he knew Britt and she'd be back.

Peter tracked Donna to the hospital chapel. She's finished praying. She's sure Marley will all right now. Peter thinks they should accept the seemingly inevitable. She said she wanted to be by herself.

MJ argues with Larry but he's adamant. He's the one who's going to take the risks, man-like.

Vic was told there was nothing she could do. She persisted but they were firm.

Jimmy returned to the Plains Motel in a foul temper. He accused Adrienne of having the hots for Ewing. She denied it. He warned her Tommy Lee her husband would be real interested. She said she could handle Tommy Lee and Larry.

Larry pulled up at the cabin in a Jaguar. Catlin (now shirted) asked him about it. Larry said he'd bought it with money from stocks. Catlin asked for an explanation. Larry sent him to make some iced tea. He then quick as lightning hid the drugs under the woodpile. (Really bright.) Catlin returned and asked what he was up to.

A nurse came to collect Peter & Donna to go to Marley's room.

Zane apologized to Felicia for being late and said he didn't want to talk about the reason. She suggested she make him dinner. He submitted to her crabmeat cocktail, Coquilles St Jacques, and swordfish steak with sauce Gallant. She then said he wouldn't get any until he 'fessed up. He told her Britt had left town without telling him why. He can't follow her. If she wants him she knows where to find him.

The salesman would have liked Brittany to stop off in Detroit with him overnight but she wants to continue to Dry Creek. He said he knew things could get rough and she needn't worry about her husband. (Throughout she was polite but firm.)

Catlin told Larry Britt had overheard him and followed him to the Plains Motel. Larry wanted to know what "all this hoo-ha about the Plains Motel" was. It's a friendly place he says. He has fun. He bought the car to have fun. Catlin doesn't buy that. He thinks Larry's on to something and he wants to know what it is. Larry thinks he's acting strangely. Catlin's brain is working furiously figuring that Larry is working undercover. Larry says he's not. Catlin's persistent. He says Larry's attitude's all wrong. Larry says he's looking out for number one now. They'll repossess the car in a couple of months but by then he will've had loads of fun out of it. Catlin says it all has to do with the Plains Motel. Larry says he goes to the Plains Motel to enjoy himself and maybe he should bring Catlin along sometime for a little bar-hopping. He hit Catlin I guess in the arm in a friendly fashion and Catlin hit him back in a not-so-friendly fashion and said he'd been drinking too much. Larry said it helped him get by. Catlin said he was worried about him and wanted to help. Larry said he had a good friend who made things a little easier. Catlin told him not to be a fool. Larry asked when Sally & Kevin were due back. Not for a while, it seems. Alice has pneumonia. Liz is going out there too. (Catlin doesn't sound terribly happy at the prospect.) Larry says Alice will be okay. Larry left telling Catlin to forget about it.

Vic didn't know what was going on when she'd seen a commotion in Marley's room she'd sent for Donna. Donna got upset. Victoria said it didn't seem right that all the money in the world couldn't buy life. Bridget arrived. Vic's upset that she'll never be able to tell Marley she was her sister and she loved her. The doctors came out. Marley has turned the corner. The Loves are thrilled. Donna thanked Vic for saving Marley's life and asked Dr Edwards to be allowed to see her Marley. She can't be separated from her another minute.

Larry told MJ where she'd stashed the drugs. She told him he was a dope for putting Sally and little Kevin in danger. He explained they wouldn't be back for a long time. She asked about the danger to Catlin but he said the woods were the only place he knew he could lose the tail. He's determined to work alone. MJ's been assigned to escort a prisoner to Frisco and another one back from LA. She thinks Larry set it up to keep her out of the way but he denies it. Luckily the dept. has got the funding for the car. She thinks he'll be killed.

Zane enjoys spending time with Felicia. It's mutual. And he loves her food. They toasted Thursday. Michaud's booked the Bay City Yacht Club for the evening and they're redecorating it. Felicia perceives that Zane misses Brittany.

The salesman offered to take Britt over the bridge to Windsor, Ont. He bet she'd never been to Canada but she's been to Vancouver. He was eventually persuaded that she was staying on the bus and gave in with good grace. He left. She thought about Josh proposing. (Josh: You doing anything this weekend? Brittany: Nothing I know of. Josh: You want to get married then? Britt: Sure. Who you got in mind? Josh: ME. Britt: You want ME to marry a no-good rodeo man like you? Josh: Well I'd be marrying a no-good rodeo woman like you. Britt: Sure, I guess that's fair. Josh: you mean it? Britt: Yeah, I guess I do. That wasn't much of a proposal though. I still am a girl, y'know. Josh: Oh, Brittany. That fact is absolutely obvious. I love you. And I want to marry you. Britt: Oh, Josh Peterson, you just got yourself a bride.) A man who seemed disposed to be friendly and chatty came and asked if the salesman's vacated seat was taken. She very cleverly pretended to be deaf and was thus free to put her hat low over her eyes and not talk to him.

Larry at the Plains Motel. He ordered a beer. He thanked Adrienne for her tip about the tail. She said she didn't know what he was talking about. He told her she was a good woman. She was made suddenly nervous and told him to pay for his drink and leave. He was confronted with a silent Tommy Lee. He got past him. Adrienne called him [Tommy Lee] baby and kissed him. Tommy Lee doesn't like Larry. He's glad to know what he looks like though because if he gives him any trouble with his business or his wife he'll blow him away. Larry was listening.

Donna was let in to see Marley. She opened her eyes and said "Hello Donna."
