ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

June 21, 1985

Gerhard called Felicia and told her to keep next Thursday open for Michaud. She's dying of curiosity.

Donna's been taking fits. It's been more than 24 hrs.

Liz thinks Sally's about to make the biggest mistake of her life.

Britt told Catlin both she and Larry knew Willa had been murdered and she thought she could help prove it. (He was the one who figured it out in the first place, immediately after learning she was dead.)

Michaud chose some sort of jewellery for Felicia. He knows a great deal about her and wants to impress her. It sounds like he's met her before (of dear, he must be Albert. He's got her favourite (lilacs) from AFRICA). He wants to make her as happy as she made him. They sent in Mrs Harvey one of Lesoleil's "graduates" looking stunning. She thanked him.

Donna took screaming fits. The doctor suggested they call Peter. Jake went to do so.

Liz kept on about how Sally could not leave Brittany here alone with Catlin. Sally said she wasn't and they just happened to live in the same city. Liz thinks Brittany's been secretly undeaf all along. Sally doesn't. She went to sign Kevin out. She told Aunt Liz not to talk about this in front of Kevin. Liz says CATLIN must be thrilled that they're finally together and SHE'S going off to visit her mother.

Catlin made Brittany explain. He told her in effect she was barking up the wrong tree. She said he was just like his brother and left. He called Clarice and found out Larry was out. He said he KNEW Larry was up to something.

Adrienne's plying Larry with liquor. Flirting madly. They said they'd get together Wednesday. She's wearing Blaine's navel-revealing backless silvery thing. She kissed him and told him he was being followed sometimes. He thanked her and said he'd be paying her back someday. "Not someday. Wednesday." He left. Jimmy followed him and told her to stay close to the phone.

Mrs Harvey told Michaud how wonderful she felt and how everyone complimented her and her marriage was wonderful and she was pregnant. She's telling ALL her friends. Daphne arrived with a gift for her. She left. Daphne has the plans for the Bay City operation. They're taking over the Chapin Estate (!) for their Complex. They seem to get on well, these two. He kisses her hands.

Larry returned home and did strange things in the closet. Catlin called but Larry didn't answer.

Felicia feels bad about Cass and Kathleen. Wally says they don't really hate each other. She says Zane was right. But if Edouard had done this they wouldn't've stood a chance. She feels better.

Peter's on his way. Jake's being helpful. He went to get tea & lemonade, calling her Vicki. Donna told her about Marley wanting a nickname. They say Marley is a nice name. Donna says Marley won't even get to know Vic.

Adrienne talked about New Orleans with Britt in the bar. She went to take a call in her office. Catlin appeared behind Brittany and said "Do you want to tell me just what you think you're doing here?" The effect was such that I thought 'twas another dream.

Wallingford was forced to admit to Zane that Cass & Kathleen were neither married nor engaged and he'd won the bet. Felicia appeared and turned over the money. Zane's holding her to the boat-building and a little fishing. She's reluctant but he accused her of weaseling. (Zane: Fishing. That is if you don't mind a trip to the bait store on the way. Felicia: Oh gee, and I said you weren't romantic. Zane: What do you think, Felicia, some night crawlers or some red wigglers? Or maybe some crickets? Felicia: I don't know, anything that's REALLY DISGUSTING would be nice.) They left.

Catlin hauled Brittany back to her motel room and told her off. She said if he didn't want her as his wife he didn't give her orders COWBOY. She told him she knew Larry had got Adrienne all worked up and she was more than a bartender and she [Brittany] could find out more. She explained things to him as if he wasn't very bright. He listened carefully but told her she didn't know what she was talking about and Larry was just trying to get lucky. She said they both knew that wasn't true. She wants to help Willa. He told her she was wrong and Willa was really truly a tremendous junkie (same sort of voice he used to tell Sally he didn't love her). And Larry wasn't doing anything for Willa, just acting like a jerk. He told her to forget it. She told him to go. He said he was sorry and left. Outside the door he talked to himself letting us know he knew better and just wanted her to stay out of it.

Larry made arrangements to meet MJ. He's got to lose his tail.

Kevin was wheeled out. He said Catlin could go to Washington with them but Catlin said he couldn't. He promised they'd build a treehouse bigger and better and higher than Joey Rogers'. Kevin wants Bobby to come and play in it. Joyce and Sally agree they'll be nervous wrecks. Kevin was taken to say goodbye to his hospital friend Ronnie. Catlin and Sally went to sit down and talk. Sally: Hey, you don't mind, do you? Catlin: What, your leaving? I don't know if I can take it. Sally: Aunt Liz thinks I'm making THE biggest mistake of my life. Catlin: Well I think she's right. Don't you? Sally: WHAT? Catlin: Leaving me alone ... going off with another man ... I don't know if I'm ever going to forgive you for this. Sally: You better forgive me or I'll beat you up. Catlin: I forgive you, I forgive you. I'm going to miss you. Sally: Aunt Liz thinks you're going to SEEK COMFORT with Brittany. Catlin: Did you tell her that everything was fine? Sally: Yeah. She doesn't like thinking that. Catlin: Everything is fine, isn't it? Sally: I think so. Catlin: So do I. Sally: Then I guess it is. Catlin: You know sometimes I think we were meant for each other. Sally: Maybe, maybe not. Catlin: After all we have been through we still end up together. Sally: That's 'cause we haven't hit the hard stuff yet. Catlin: Oh, boy. Let's see, we've been through a murder trial, black market baby ring, and now a former wife. After that. What's hard. Sally: Just being married. Sticking with it when it's a little dull. Two o'clock feedings, mortgage payments. Catlin: I'm looking forward to trying all that. Sally: Me too. I'm looking forward to all of it with you. Kissing. Catlin: You come back real soon, y'hear me? Sally: I love you. I really, really love you. Kissing.

Britt thought about Zane saying she could call him any time. She put on her marina-type hat and left.

Zane and Felicia arrived at the marina. Invigorating smell of dead fish. Zane's going to sleep down there. He's impressed with her gear and the way it looks. She's wearing her daddy's fishing hat. He thinks she can handle Lesoleil. She's afraid of catching a fish.

Jimmy called Adrienne asking for Polo. She said he'd gone. He told her Larry had tried to lose him but he hadn't. (They're at the meeting place. Old schoolhouse at Booker & Eisenhower.) He told her to send Polo as soon as possible. He's going in to look. They rang off. Polo was sitting right behind Adrienne all the while.

Felicia got a big fish on her line. Zane had his arms about her in true golf pro style helping her when Britt appeared. She left smiling wryly.

Gerhard convinced Michaud that Felicia should know a little more, make her less nervous.

MJ thinks Larry should tell Clarice. He won't. He's worried about Brittany. They heard Jimmy make a goshawful noise.

Peter hasn't come yet. Marley has a fever of 105.2. Donna's convinced she won't live.

Well. I guess this is goodbye, Mary Page. It sounds like it. It's an awful big production if we are ever going to see her again. I assume we're supposed to forget all about her in the next two weeks and prepare ourselves for Catlin's second Sally. Did anybody else get the feeling that it was the official Thos./Mary Page goodbye? I keep meaning to look at his hands but when I think of it they're always hidden from view. The bit with Britt I sort of liked. He SHOULD be yelled at like that. And he's much better at nasty than Perry was with Nicole.

If Michaud is Albert then who's Zane? Monsieur proper? Not bloody likely.

Didn't the papers say "LOCAL DEAF MUTE SAVES BOY AND RECOVERS SPEECH, HEARING" or something to that effect? They SHOULD have. If the rescue's big news, so's the recovery.

Aunt Liz must think an awful lot of strange things about Brittany.

You know I never got a good look at Catlin's homemade bed before yesterday. Isn't the little heart just such the nice touch, though?

I've been trying to imagine Catlin & Sally in the Cass & Kathleen situation. It can't be done. For one thing they've never let things go on this long. I don't think they get locked up together, just separately. And Catlin & Sally realised the foolishness of attempting to sleep on two chairs and confined themselves to floors & couches. No bathtubs, even. And if they needed to escape through a dumbwaiter it would've occurred to at least one of them that the stronger one should be pulling and the lighter one pulled.

Bill (Mr Harvey) ~ dim. of William ~ resolute protection.

Paolo ~ Italian of Paul ~ little: from a given name of the Aemiliani, a Roman clan. [Except it seems to be "Polo", inexplicably.]

Ronnie ~ from Ronald (?) ~ old Norse form of Reginald ~ judicial ruler.

Ada! Sole daughter of my house and heart.

Alice, where art thou?

Oh! Don't you remember sweet Alice, Ben Bolt,
Sweet Alice, whose hair was so brown
Who wept with delight when you gave her a smile
And trembled with fear at your frown?

Widow'd wife, and married maid
Betrothed, betrayer, and betray'd!

Not for Cadwallader and all his goats.

He is dreadfully married. He's the most married man I ever saw in my life.

Oh I am a cat that likes to
gallop about doing good.

Nous ferons tout ce qui nous plaira! Nous laisserons pousser notre barbe!

Anything to me is sweeter
Than to see shock-headed Peter.

Proud Maisie is in the wood,
Walking so early.

Preserve me from unseasonable and immoderate sleep.

O my prophetic soul! My uncle!

You speak like a green girl unsifted in such perilous circumstance.
