Catlin thought about Brittany saying the baby was due late summer and Zane advising him to ask her. He told Sally he had someone to see.
Donna called Brittany and ordered her to come to her room. Brittany refused. Donna mentioned something about a dirty laundry list and Peter. Brittany was in her room in a matter of seconds. Let's play bingo, said Donna. She said she'd made a list of possible fathers and she was going to read it and gauge her reactions. Bachelor #1: Zane Lindquist. Brittany called her disgusting, dirt, and crud. Donna said she couldn't have Brittany ruining Peter's life or getting any Love money. She mentioned hiring a private detective. She called Catlin. Brittany hung the phone up.
Catlin and Sally were perplexed. They didn't sleep well. He asked who was giving her away. She said nobody, since she already belonged to him. He said she had a point. She got his towel away from him.
Kathleen is getting discouraged again. Cass told her they were going to go to Catlin and Sally's wedding to check out the competition. He put into action his plan to pick out bits for her trousseau. MJ disapproves. Cass overrode her objections. Jake rushed in and up to Marley. He's upset. Someone ratted on him to KBAY. He's been called before his boss. He has also been identified as a juvenile offender. They can't think who would be so spiteful.
Neal asked Victoria why they were trying to ruin Jake's life. He knew the answer. he asked what was in it for him. She must make it worth his while. What would her family say? [ooh, Bay City blackmail.]
Donna shrugged and crossed Zane off her list. Brittany was even more vehement about bachelor number 2 not being the father. 'twas Catlin. Such passion, said Donna. Donna asked Brittany bluntly if it were Catlin's child.
Tom and Dee suspect Victoria of having called KBAY.
Neal submitted his demands: closer acquaintance with the père, invitations to dinner from the mère. Oho. A social climber.
Brittany took Zane to a place in her car and told him her troubles. She admitted it was Catlin's baby. He told her to face reality and decide what and whom she wanted. He asked if she still loved Catlin.
Catlin thought about Zane's advice and Brittany in the stables. Sally emerged from the bedroom and accused him of being distracting. They have places to go. He started being distracting again. She had to beat him off in order to answer Donna's knock. She apologized again for having crashed their party. She said she had personal business with Catlin. Sally withdrew. Catlin was short with Donna. She told him she didn't think Brittany loved her brother. He said it was none of his business. She told him she was practically certain the baby wasn't Peter's and could it be his? He told her to get out. She protested. He kept repeating it in a dangerous tone.
Britt told Zane Catlin didn't want her. She said she'd made the best of things. She said she wanted what she couldn't have.
Catlin thought about Zane. Sally reappeared. He told her Donna's stuff was confidential. She perceived he was upset and said she loved him and said they should just be happy.
Marley and Jake went to KBAY. She said she'd wait for him. He is mad. He assured her they'd get married no matter what happened to his job. He said he'd never deserve her.
Cass and Kathleen looked at lingerie. Women inside lingerie. Cass was thrilled. He assured Kathleen they could afford it. She said she'd take everything they'd seen.
Victoria gave Donna a hard time about refusing Michael dinner. She told her Michael had wanted to talk to her about Jake and a loan shark. Donna was not amused.
Jake went in for the moment of reckoning. Marley told him she loved him.
Kathleen and MJ inspected the vast quantities of lingerie. Wow. [Kathleen [in a peculiar but endearing voice]: capital W capital O capital W.] eek. [Kathleen [Ditto]: capital E capital E capital K.] Kathleen gave her a bunch. MJ refused. She has no hope of a masculine audience. And Vince wouldn't like it. Kathleen wants to walk for Cass. MJ assured her she would. Kathleen said perhaps she should postpone the wedding.
Vic tried to get Donna annoyed about Michael's possible relationship with Sherri. ["well I suppose she's all right if you like skinny blondes." said Donna.] She tried to get her moving in order to separate Jake and Marley.
Jake emerged unemployed. He has $1400 to his name. He's being a little dramatic about it.
MJ said self pity was no good. Kathleen said she was afraid. She reached for the phone to postpone. Cass was listening in the hall when she cried "I am not marrying Cass like this." He stomped in and said TRAITOR.
Neal left Britt in the stables as Catlin came in for a chat. He got blunt.
