ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

April 23, 1986

Neal told Britt she'd married well. She accused him of being after the Love women.

As Marley and Donna sat having breakfast together Michael flew a paper airplane through the window. Donna called him in the stables (Neal and Brittany looked at him funny, he was laughing so hard) to say the answer was no.

An aerobics class finished at Gallant's. Felicia: I should never have let Zane talk me into this. Rachel: oh, come on, Felicia. In a couple of weeks we'll be DEAD. Felicia: Angelica, you're fired. You did a good job. Angelica: it wasn't so bad, was it now, Felicia? I mean, after all, some of the classes even asked me to SPEED IT UP. Sherri: I could use a bit more of a workout. Rachel & Felicia: who asked her? Vic cooled down next to Nancy. She made provoking (or should I say provocative?) comments about Chris and Jake. Nancy called her a slut. Vic went to slap her. Nancy asked why she didn't leave Jake alone. Victoria claimed that the shoe was on the other foot. She suggested that Nancy tell Marley. Nancy rushed off and told Rachel she hated Victoria.

Marley read Michael's dinner invitation and asked Donna why she wouldn't go out with Michael. Donna told her she'd been foolish once and wouldn't be that foolish again.

Britney dragged Neal around behind her and tried to assure Michael he would do well. Michael told Neal he'd be watching him. Brittany took Neal to the tool shed. Enter Marley.

Nancy bitched to Rachel. She decided to tell Marley. Felicia appeared. Rachel and Nancy presented the situation to her in an extremely hypothetical and vague setting. She said she believed in helping friends but Zane's motto was if it's none of one's business it's not ones business. P'raps the situation will sort itself out.

Marley was told that Michael used to communicate with Donna via paper airplane all the time and Donna used to scatter poems about the stable for him. She [Marley] was incredulous. She [Donna] stole pastries from the kitchen and bought every Beatles single going. He can't figure out why Donna said no.

Brittany told Donna she and Peter wouldn't pay for door. Donna bitched back. She told her she'd be found out eventually even without her help.

Vince told Jake women and paperwork were the problems confronting civilization these days. (Too many jobs don't suit him and women are abandoning the home.) Jake pointed out that his elder daughters were working women. He said talent should be used. He complained about Ada. Jake suggested sour grapes. Vince spotted a gardening job. He called and talked to Ada all unawares.

Maisie's looking to get a new location, new name etc.

Vince rushed ahead in his usual obnoxious way saying he knew Mac Cory and [was] on his way over. Ada was unable to inform him that the position was filled.

Michael went up to Donna's room. He told her she'd changed very little. He behaved in a disturbing fashion, trailing fingers across her bare shoulders etc. He told her he wouldn't ask her ask her out again. He said he wasn't accustomed to waiting for women. She asked if he were in the habit of fixing doors. He said not but advised her to see to it, for a man could just walk in anytime. She told him if he did he'd probably find it empty.

Rachel and Felicia and Sherri plotted to load their instructor down with malts. Enter Jake. He said he was supposed to pick up Marley. Vic said Marley wasn't there and asked for a lift. Nancy tried to approach him to talk alone but Rachel dragged her off shopping. Jake said it could wait. Vic told him her car was in the shop. Exit Vic and Jake. Nancy complained that Victoria's car was in the parking lot. Felicia told her p'raps Vic wasn't quite as fast as she would have Nancy believe. Nancy was not impressed with that theory.

Jake told Victoria he wished he knew who had told Michael about the loan sharks. She said they must be pretty upset at KBAY. He said they would be if they knew. He asked where to. She said she had no place to go.

Ada opened the door to Vince. He said he wanted to talk to Mac. He asked if she were the maid. She denied it. He said no one who lived there would look for work in an employment agency. She said she had lived there but had moved out. Mac appeared. He and Vince greeted each other as old friends. (It figures.) Mac introduced his mother-in-law.

Michael found Neal smoothing his hair. He asked him why he was working in the stables. Neal said things were pretty tedious in general for a federal agent. He spoke of the thrill of the great outdoors, working with one one's hands etc. Michael said he didn't buy it. He told him to forget his angle. Neal was all innocence. Michael told him to stay away from his daughters.

Rachel and Felicia and Nancy staggered into Smiley's laden with parcels. It turned out everything belonged to Nancy at Rachel's expense. Rachel said they should take some stuff back. She's afraid of Ada's wrath. She was convinced to let Nancy keep the things.

Vince was informed that the job was gone. Mac offered to find him another. Ada said that Mac had made her that offer and she refused. Mac observed their bickering with amusement.

Jake told Victoria he felt bad about the way he'd treated her. He admitted he felt something for her although he wished he didn't. He apologized for not making a clean break. He said this had to stop. She cried.

Michael started fixing the door. The phone rang. It was Sherri for Michael. They arranged to have dinner. Donna asked Michael to dinner. He told her he had plans." That's the way the dinner plans crumble, cookie." He left. She threw something at the door. He poked his head back in. "Ixnay, shweetheart, you break this door again and you're going to have to fix it yourself." (Nice Bogart.) She flung a cushion at his head.
