Cass told Kathleen if she wasn't going to try then the hell with her. He stomped out. She called after him that he didn't understand.
Jake stomped into Smiley's with Marley on his heels. He told her to stop feeling sorry for him.
Michael scared Donna half to death appearing in the back of her car.
Brittany struggled and ordered Catlin out. He didn't go. He demanded the truth. He mushed her down in the hay and put it to her as a fact that he was the baby's father. She asked why he should care. He asked what kind of person he would be if he didn't. He said no one was leaving.
Jake packed his bag and told Marley he was moving in with his uncle. She proclaimed herself an asset to him. He said he wouldn't blame her if she reconsidered. She got mad and said she'd talk when he'd cooled off. Victoria appeared by Jake.
Kathleen prepared to pursue Cass. MJ said she'd take her to therapy and look for Cass herself.
Brittany told Catlin to leave her alone. He told her he'd talk to Peter. She called him back. She asked if he were going to marry Sally out of a sense of obligation. He said he LOVED the woman and he'd marry her [Sally] no matter what she [Brittany] said about the baby.
Donna: OK. We are here. Michael: thank you, Donna. Donna: why am I driving you to your office anyway? You have adequate transportation. Michael: well. I may have adequate transportation but you, my dear, are more than adequate. Donna: it's nice that you notice. Michael: you know I like the way you drive. It's kinda crazy, kinda reckless. Like the road belongs to only you. Donna: well it does. Part of it, anyway. The right of way was purchased 50 years ago. Daddy finally let it go for a very large amount of money. He said he was looking forward to dinner. She said it wouldn't be Social, it would be Family Business. Jake McKinnon and other family problems. Michael said she could call his secretary in that case.
Jake told Victoria his plans for the person who called his boss. They are not nice. She commiserated with him. She asked if the wedding were still on. He said according to Marley it was. (He doubts Donna's support.) Nancy trundled up. Vic told her to buzz off.
Tom complained to Lily about the inequality of her marriage. Lily told her she couldn't count on the future and she had to think of herself.
Vince suggested that Donna had been responsible for Jake's dismissal. He doesn't like Loves.
Donna stomped up to Michael's office. She told him to cancel his appointment. He refused. She has 3 minutes. She told him she was accustomed to being in charge. He said he was too. Michael: you know, Donna, You and I seem to be on a collision course. We could wind up killing each other. That'd be fun. Donna: Michael, this isn't amusing. Michael:, come on Donna. Lighten up. Donna: I'm not going to lighten up. Family business is very serious to me. Michael: I can see this is going to be a very JOLLY dinner. Donna: no it's not. He called her Blackie. Tender Love. They were Blackie and Mike. He told her he loved the way she drove and she could pick him up at 7:00 PM sharp in the stables. He put her out.
Britt: don't you have any feelings at all? Catlin: NONE. I'll be up at the house looking for Peter. She stopped him. She said he wouldn't like the truth. She composed herself. She said it wasn't his baby. She knew he wanted Sally so she decided to get herself looked after by Peter. She said she'd become pregnant deliberately so Peter would marry her. He was revolted. He said it was a story just ugly enough to be true. He doesn't quite believe it. He said he'd know once she had the baby. "I'll be watching" quoth he (and I'm afraid I laughed rather hysterically). Exit Catlin. She sighed a sigh of relief.
Nancy hadn't seen Cass. MJ stopped to chat with Sally. Enter Cass. MJ told him Kathleen owes was it therapy dying to see him. A phone call came for Cass. MJ left a message for Maisie to make the wedding cake. Exit Cass. MJ asked who had called him. (She asks whenever he gets a mysterious call. No one can ever tell her anything. She doesn't ask Cass.)
Tom wants to go back to school. Lily offered to look after Grant (she wants to be closer to dead Grant. Quote: "that little pumpkin is all I have left of him." I mean to say, really.) and help with Tom's tuition. Tom agreed if she could square it with Carter.
Marley and Jake made up. They promised each other not to let anything come between them.
Catlin met Sally in Smiley's. She asked if he'd talked to her. He played dumb. She was calm. He confessed. He told her Brittany said it was Peter's. He said he believed her in part. He asked if it would change how she felt about marrying him. She said it wouldn't make her happy. He had to take a phone call. She told Nancy to tell him she'd gone to figure out if she'd changed her mind.
Brittany went to watch Donna prepare for her date and to be bitchy. She told her Catlin had told her about their affair. She threatened to tell the twins and Michael. (So what?) Exit Britt.
Victoria called Nancy pretending to be Marley and pretended to be upset and in need of someone to talk about Victoria with. She hints about her and Jake. Not that she believes it. Nancy's on her way.
Tom told Carter of her plans. He seemed unthrilled. She pleaded for his support. She can't put it off. He said she could count on him.
Kathleen worked hard. She's a little afraid Cass has done something vile in a fit of pique.
Nancy ran into Victoria at the Love mansion. Victoria was Victoria. She advised Nancy to go easy on the sauce at the shower and said she didn't mind missing it because she'd be having a great time with Jake. Enter Marley. YOU'D BETTER BE LYING she said. Vic said she'd better be going.
In the stables Donna found a table set with candles, Michael dressed, a pianist, and waiters.
Sally took Brittany for a ride and a chat. She told her it didn't matter what Catlin had said, the question was will Sally marry Catlin?
Kathleen spied Sherri talking to Cass and attacked him. (She was offering to buy him grapefruit juice. "You can't say no to a grapefruit.")
