Chad told MJ he was Cheryl's agent. She said he was a pimp and swore she'd kill him before she'd let him do to Cheryl what he done to her.
Cheryl waited in Tops to see the photographs. Trish oozed in and asked where Scott was. She said she had to give his clothes back to him. She explained that Scott had fallen into a hot tub with her.
The radio news said nasty things about the police and the murder of Josie Allen. Adam sniffed and cleared off desks. Jamie came by.
Michael asked Donna what was wrong. She insisted it was nothing. He persisted. She claimed that it was frustrating for her not to be able to remember what was in the photograph, especially with all of his childhood photographic memories around. They got up to go. She asked if he thought John could be undead. He vehemently said not, but said he'd give anything if John were alive.
Jamie got on Adam's nerves. Adam yelled at him about Murtaugh. Jamie advised him to get a little rest. Adam said he was too busy. Jamie moved to use the phone. A woman dashed in saying that she knew who the killer was. [It was either Char or Peg of Char & Peg's Super Bowl, as someone else, natch.]
Trish kept on about Scott and the hot tub. She claimed that Scott had sought her out and kissed her and fallen in. Cheryl freaked out and attacked her. Yet another stupid girl fight [cf Cheryl and Victoria]. Water and hair-pulling stuff.
Chad told MJ he had loved her and he wanted to help Cheryl. She was incredulous. She caught sight of BRANDY PANDY and realized why Cheryl had been asking questions. He said he'd leave Cheryl alone if he got Linda's book. MJ became very upset. He told her he wanted her to admit she still loved him. She assured him she didn't. He was pained. He told her BRANDY PANDY reminded her of how much she'd loved him. She said BRANDY PANDY reminded her of the last good times they'd had. He said he was sorry and asked for a second chance. She broke away.
Mitch and Lisa tried to soothe Cheryl after Scott came up in the elevator and Trish ran into his arms. MJ came in and warned Cheryl that Pops would break her neck if he found out about the modeling. She also warned her to stay away from Chad because he could get her in trouble. Cheryl said Chad thought she had a future in modeling. MJ told her it wouldn't come true.
Another letter came from Willie with a photograph as proof that he had seen John alive in Hawaii. Clara was triumphant.
Char or Peg told Adam she knew all about the killer [except his name]. "He lives in a tower, where he watches the women of Bay City... he is titillated by the idea of naughty women, but he feels guilty, and his guilt makes him kill... he is a large, bearded man, with a DISTINCTIVE ODOUR of cloves." At that Adam LOOKED at her [she's going under the name of Mme Clothilde] and showed her the door, although she screamed that she was the next victim. Jamie told him a psychic might be a good idea. Adam told him he didn't need a lunatic. Jamie took offence and stomped out.
Chad asked Cheryl and Mitch down to his room to see the pictures. Mitch was held up by a photographic phone call from Michael.
Clara got excited. Michael soothingly assured her he'd find John if he were alive. Clara asked Donna if she'd known John. Donna looked strange and said she had, slightly. Clara said she'd like him and went off with her nurse. Michael and Donna headed for home.
MJ begged Adam to rest. She got very upset with him. She said she didn't want him to turn out like Murtaugh. She convinced him to go home. WITHOUT FILES, even.
Mitch and Lisa chatted about Crystal Gayle. Jamie came up and suggested Lisa be psychic for the police. Lisa was adamant. Jamie pled. She said people would think she was weird and stomped off. Scott wandered up to Mitch and complained about Trish's hot tub story. Mitch told him Cheryl was in Chad's room and he should tell her.
Chad found the perfect photograph. Cheryl asked him what MJ meant to him. He said they'd been good friends. She asked why MJ got so upset talking about him.
MJ forbade Adam coffee and phone calls and papers and forced him to relax. He threatened to pull rank. She brandished their ring at him and said it counted more. They said they loved each other and they'd lead a blissful married life. She kissed him and fiddled with his neck. He asked what she was doing. She said she was doing a magic trick. [I liked that until she elaborated and said she was turning a cop into a man. I think they should have left well enough alone.] She took his holster away from him and started on his shirt. And then suddenly he tore it off [setting some sort of world speed record, I suspect. I was impressed.] and attacked her fervently. Heavy breathing.
Lisa gave Scott directions to Chad's room. [#2524.] He rushed out. Jamie pled with Lisa. She argued with him. She told him to leave her alone.
Mitch met Michael at the Love house. Michael explained about the Willie photograph and asked Mitch to blow it up.
Donna told Dr Glaser she had to remember
Champagne and caviar came to Chad's room. He plied Cheryl with champagne despite her protests. They got cozy. I forget but I think Scott saw and reeled.
MJ fell asleep very nicely entwined with Adam, who extricated himself and dressed very wickedly to brood about the killer. He means to win.
Dr Glaser suggested that remembering might be worse than never knowing the truth.
John was a year younger than Michael. Michael asked why he would have stayed away all these years if alive.
