Jake wants Bridget to talk to Victoria. Victoria's made up her mind to tell.

Rachel heard mac on the phone telling someone the routine was as usual and they were going to be at the bowling alley. She yelled at him suspecting he'd set something up to scare her. He said he'd been making arrangements to be driven there. He said he'd learned his lesson. She accused him of having rigged her closet to fall down on her. They yelled a lot. He scattered papers in all directions and he convinced her he hadn't rigged the closet.
Michaud said they'd make her stunning. Kathleen's a little nervous I think. Daniel appeared and was pleased. Michaud told her to decide how she wanted to change and to change for HERSELF and no one else. Daniel and Kathleen rushed off to see a touring company production of Swan Lake. 'Oh Kathleen -- when you are finished at Lesoleil you will win as many hearts as SOMEONE UNINTELLIGIBLE DRAT [Odette?].' 'Good. As long as I don't have to die in the last act.'
Bridget told Victoria she was just daring the Loves to love her. Enter Donna and Peter. Exit Bridget. Victoria was told about Marley's decision. She was dumbfounded. Peter said both of them should be very wealthy for the rest of their lives. Victoria said they had to talk because she wasn't sure they wanted her there. They said they did. Bridget interrupted with a phone call for Donna. Peter went to get some papers to explain the situation. Vic said they'd talk when Marley got home. She told Bridget about the inheritance. She said she had nothing to give these wonderful people but the truth.
Daphne translated the hieroglyphs 'Among the paths of flowers ... among the paths of flowers ... don't just simply say TURN LEFT.' Michaud called and teased her about her search and reminded her she had to visit Rachel about designing the jewellery for them. 'Among the paths of flowers. Why does everything have to be a riddle?'
Rachel told Nancy remembering things was wonderful. Nancy thought about Perry in various situations. At the Plains Motel. Giving her his grandmother's Egyptian ring (does it relate to Daphne?). She cried and wailed to herself she wished she were like Rachel unable to remember. She called Muffy and requested $15 worth of hits of the stuff. She can only get two for that. She didn't protest. She turned around to see Chris Chapin standing there.
Bridget told Jake she'd made no headway. She doesn't care about their part in it, just that Vic might be cast out. Jake gave Marley a birthday gift. They remember the first day he kissed her. He's been a great comfort to her through times of trial. She said he was very special to her. He behaved strangely. 'You act like you're going to go away to war or got to jail or something.' He told her to remember he cared about her and fled.
Nancy panicked but it appeared he hadn't been listening. She accused him of following her around. He said he was just worried because of her precipitate flight from the stables yesterday. She said she didn't think she was ready to deal with those kinds of feelings yet. Enter the Corys. Exit Nancy. Chris told them she wasn't used to him. Exit Chris and Mac. Enter Daphne. She was given iced tea. She talked about the jewellery. Rachel will think about it. Enter Chris. Daphne sloshed iced tea all over. Profuse apologies. Introductions. Exit Chris. Exit Daphne. 'Well, that was weird,' said Rachel to herself.
The ballet is unfun. Kathleen dropped off and imagined herself a ballerina in white trying to pull herself together. There were three other ballerinas dressed like her. Dancing. Kathleen: WAIT A MINUTE. WAIT A MINUTE. Nobody told me about this rehearsal. Did you know about this rehearsal? LOOK I DON'T THINK THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO SCHEDULE THINGS LIKE THIS WITHOUT ANY KIND OF PROPER NOTICE, Y'KNOW? I didn't even know about this until a minute ago. Daniel: Miss McKinnon if you don't change your attitude you'll never get out of the Cory Ballet. Kathleen: HEY. Daniel: Are we ready? Kathleen: We're supposed to start over here, right? HELLO? Look, I know that I've -- what are you doing? I'VE NEVER LEARNED THIS BEFORE. What is this? I've never even SEEN this before. What are you -- am I supposed to be -- is this the right -- excuse me, I'm sorry -- slow down -- I can't learn it this fast. CAN WE DO THIS OVER? Can we start over? Listen -- HELLO; is anybody -- all right, all right, all right, okay, I'll keep time, all right? Look, I thought we were supposed to be doing Cinderella, all right? Listen girls, I'm really sorry, I thought we were supposed to be doing Cinderella. I thought we were going to do the dance of the mice, y'know? You know this isn't my fault. Don't try to blame this on -- all right, will you just teach me? Will you just teach me the steps and I'll learn -- I WILL learn them -- you never taught me that turn. I don't know how to do that. All right, I'll change my attitude. Do you think changing -- what is it? Wait a minute, this is not a rehearsal this is a performance. Just stop the music just hold everything, all right? THANK YOU. What are you doing here? This is my nightmare get out of here. Michaud: Ladies and gentlemen excuse s'il vous plait this woman is obviously hopeless. Kathleen: What do you mean? This isn't fair -- Michaud: She is evidemment untransformable -- she can't visualize and your money will be refunded at the box office. Kathleen: But why do I have to be a ballerina? I don't want to be a ballerina. She woke up and agreed with Daniel that they might as well leave. Exit Daniel & Kathleen.
Nancy was disposed to flee when she ran into Chris in the living room but he stayed her with apologies for being too forward. She said she should get over Perry. He said she didn't have to. He told her about his mother's death almost making him drop out of med school but he got over it without noticing. Nancy feels guilty when she forgets and is happy. He told her normality would return slowly and realisation (that things were normal) suddenly and everything would be all right. She asked if he needed something to get him through the hard times. He said not. He promised she'd manage too. He put his arm about her and consoled her. She cried on his shoulder.
Daphne told Michaud about seeing HIS SON who looks so like HIM. (Story of Daphne & Frederick: He found her in Cairo and told her she was the most beautiful thing he'd seen in Egypt. But the fickle man after keeping her for a bit abandoned her without a word in the Georges V. She wanted to die and she would've killed herself if it hadn't been for Michaud and Edouard.) She's worried if just the sight of someone resembling HIM can knock her off her feet to such an extent. Michaud comforted her. They love each other madly.
The Corys arrived at the bowling alley much to the delight of Charlotte & Peg. Enter three young thugs who unobtrusively took a table. First thug: Them two old broads have a real nice business here. 2nd thug: I hate old ladies. I'm going to like knocking over this place.
Daniel and Kathleen are discussing jazz in a restaurant. He said he shouldn't've taken her to the boring ballet and she said usually it's not boring. It turns out that he'd said that his ideal of womanly beauty was a ballerina (which statement was no doubt the cause of the nightmare). He's had a crush on some ballerina for ages. He prefers real women. He thinks Kathleen's too hard on herself. She doesn't think she's hard enough. He said she was too beautiful and intelligent to be so insecure. She started babbling about architecture and he shut her up asking if he could kiss her. 'Do you want to?' 'Very much.' He did.
'Je t'aime.' 'Aussi je t'aime, Daphne.' She thinks he saves her from things constantly. He thinks she does it herself. He makes her feel better. Rustling. She wanted supper in the bedroom but they have to have supper with Felicia (so I guess they have to go out).
Donna's anxiously waiting for Marley to return from work. 'PETER,' she wailed, 'she CAN'T meet and attorney in her uniform.' 'Oh, I don't know, Donna, I'm an attorney and I think she looks pretty cute in her uniform.' Donna's pleased with Victoria's appearance. Enter Marley. Victoria said she had to tell them something and it couldn't wait.
Bobby: Keep the change. Charlotte: Ooh, thanks. Billy: You just gave that old broad a 90¢ tip. Bobby: Relax. We'll get it all back when we empty the cash register. What are you drinking milk for? Davey: My gut's bothering me again. Bobby: I told you, lay off red meat and eat more vegetables. RAW VEGETABLES. Davey: They give me gas. Billy: The two of you give ME gas. Bobby: there's no reason to talk like that, Billy. Billy: Listen, Bobby, I've been doing all the thinking on every job we've been on. You've been too busy with your diet. Bobby: I'm just looking out for Davey. He's my pal. Davey: It's okay, Bobby. Billy: Yeah, well, look out for yourself. He sent him to find the back door and see if the sweet old ladies kept a piece under the bar. Mac and Rachel sat down for Char & Peg burgers & root beer. Davey wants to cover the two old ladies but he gets the lanes. Billy's going to shake down the bowlers starting with that nice rich pair. Rachel discovered she'd left her watch over yonder and went to get it. OKAY FOLKS THIS IS A HOLD UP. Everybody freeze.
Muffy called Nancy. Nancy told her she'd changed her mind and she didn't want it.
Bridget is quaking in fear outside the door. Victoria told them she'd been in Bay City longer than she'd admitted. She said Perry had seen her once and she'd run up to the hayloft away from him. She said she'd told him who she was and he was vair' nice about it and said they could tell Donna together but when he started down the ladder it broke. She called the ambulance and ran in fear. She wanted them to know. SILENCE. She said she could pack and leave tonight if they wanted.
Billy took many things of sentimental value from bowlers. Rachel bounded up highly indignant because Mac had promised not to pull any more stunts. She raved and raved and spoke calmly to the thugs. They were perturbed. She told one to take his gun out of her face and Mac with a frenzied yelp leaped forward to save her.
