Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue. Felicia welcomed Crystal Gayle as an old friend. They're mutual fans.
Cheryl insisted that Scott join the celebration.
Michael planned to go to Chicago in order to prove his mother wrong. Mitch showed him the blown up photograph. He reeled.
There were flowers in Crystal's dressing room from a secret admirer. There was a clue pointing to his sweet tooth. Felicia was perturbed but was careful not to alarm Crystal.
The killer thought bad thoughts about Crystal.
Michael's conviction was shaken. Mitch and Nicole told him a lot of people were undead. Michael said John would have contacted him. Mitch suggested he might have had a reason not to.
Donna fretted. She's afraid that remembering might send her over the edge again. Dr Glaser soothed her. They will tread carefully. She told him about the undead brother. She left to go to Chicago with Michael.
Scott behaved very oddly. Chad took the pictures and left. Cheryl asked Scott why he'd come by. He gave up and told her that he was leaving. Then he tried to tell her Trish was just a friend. She told him he didn't have to explain. She gave him permission to shack up with Trish. They had a very pointless argument and he left.
Felicia sent Wallingford to find out who had trashed Crystal's room. She bugged Lisa about Jamie and her psychic psowers [sic]. Lisa dug in her heels. Exit Lisa. Dr Glaser dropped by to accept Felicia's invitation to appear on her show to talk about Greg[i mean the as-yet-unidentified serial killer], psychologically. Just so it's not too much of a downer, her other guest will be Crystal Gayle. She rushed him off to meet her. Wallingford bugged Mitch about it.
Michael and Donna hit Chicago and Willie Benson's office. Willie is part of an entire undead organization. They find lost war boys. Michael and Willie argued. Willie said John could have been taken prisoner and when he got away he was too nutty to look up the family. Donna behaved strangely. Willie said John had been troubled.
Crystal and Felicia and Dr Glaser chatted amicably. Miraculously, Crystal Gayle is Dr Glaser's favorite songstress. Felicia thinks he's perfect. He left. Crystal bugged her about him. Mitch came up and joined in. Felicia introduced him to Crystal. He flattered her excessively.
Cheryl stomped tearfully into Tops and told Sara it was over between her and Scott. She saw Trish trying to get reservations for Crystal Gayle's show. Scott cornered Trish and yelled at her for lying. Then he told her she didn't have to try to come between him and Cheryl because it was over. She pled with him. He saw Chad slither up to Cheryl.
Willie began making cryptic comments about the photograph. He recognized a man in the picture as the Fat Man, a horrible black market type man since Vietnam. Michael phoned out for information on him.
Chad told Cheryl she was in. She was overwhelmed. Scott saw her embracing Chad gratefully and dropped into Trish's lap. Trish appreciated it. Chad told Cheryl they'd celebrate at Crystal's opening tonight. He left. Sara congratulated Cheryl. Cheryl said she thought she could swipe something appropriate from MJ's closet.
Michael threw himself headlong into undead plans. He refused to put Donna in danger. She insisted on being involved. He appreciated it. He got a phone call and decided to go to Mexico. Donna said she was coming. He said she wasn't. He ordered up his jet. Donna pled with him. She refused to let him out of her sight. He was firm. She attached herself to him. Nicole came in. Michael gave his wife to her to hold and left.
Felicia bugged Mitch about Crystal. He bugged her about Dr Glaser. He said something about her getting on with her life. She wants Crystal's night to be memorable.
The killer* spied on Crystal as she bathed.
Nicole tried to hold Donna back for Michael. Donna has a Bad Feeling. Nicole was concerned. She asked if it had to do with John. Donna said she was worried about Michael. Nicole reassured her. Donna decided to retire with a headache, saying she wasn't to be disturbed. Michael phoned and chatted to Nicole a little from his plane. He left a loving message for Donna and asked permission to land. Mexico denied it. Michael decided not to obey.
Cheryl returned to Tops in her borrowed dress.
* Many thanks to Jess for pointing out that Greg[i mean the as-yet-unidentified serial killer] looked as though he were wearing a spangly dress [ed. modern note: through the frosted glass between him and Crystal's bath].↩
