ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

February 18, 1987

Scott and Cheryl were about to look for Vince when the sheriff stopped in to the store they were in and told the woman there of a manhunt.

Nicole prepared the captain of the yacht for the arrival of Mitch and Sara as extra crew. She has to give them a crash course in seamanship.

Donna decided she was freezing and demanded wood for her fire. The sleazebucket refused to oblige. She told him he was heartless. She decided Michael would need wood more than she did.

Michael coughed and bellowed for the guard. He claimed to be sick. The guard very obligingly yelled for help. The help said he was faking it. The first guy was worried. The help agreed to find Dirk.

When the sheriff said that the man was armed and dangerous Scott & Cheryl knocked over a display.

Nicole fretted. Mitch told her she had to stay behind in case something went wrong. They ran into Felicia who asked if it were a costume party. Mitch took her aside and told her he couldn't come in to work because he was doing something dangerous for a friend. She guessed it was Michael. She tried to talk him out of it. He refused to stay and made her promise not to say anything.

Michael said he needed heat. He warned the sleazebucket that he'd be in trouble if he died. They decided to put him in with Donna.

Scott and Cheryl told the woman in the store that they were looking for Cheryl's father because of a family emergency. They showed her a picture. She was no help. Scott said they were going to bed.

Lisa balked at going into Mary's Place. Felicia reassured her. Adam asked Mary about Maisie. She told him she went out with Dave. MJ came in and told Adam she'd tried to call him last night. He said he'd been working on the case. She asked if things had changed between them.

Scott and Cheryl checked in as Mr. and Mrs. LaSalle because there was only one room in the world.

Mitch and Sara introduced themselves to the captain.

They took Michael up to Donna's room. They kept them apart. Michael insisted that Donna put on her coat and warm shoes and socks. He has a view to an escape.

Scott got Cheryl to take his shoes off for him. She said she was cold. He said she could shower and wear his clothes. She made him close the door.

Felicia introduced Lisa to Mary. Lisa could tell she was worried about her family. Adam told MJ that they were doing a computer rundown on people who would know about the carotid death technique. Doctors and martial arts grads, mostly. And police and paramedics. Adam was unbending. MJ apologized for not having recognized Linda. Adam told her [rather coldly] that not every cop was cut out for Vice and Samuels was pushing her request through. He advised her to get a little rest.

Michael made pointless conversation with Donna. Suddenly there was shouting.

Mitch was given instructions to do seaman type things. Sara, posing as a lady's maid, was taken to see to the lady's cabin. Mitch seemed mildly baffled.

Vince phoned Mary. They sort of brought each other up to date in a cryptic fashion. She called him Ed. They sounded very loving.

Scott asked questions around about Bernie. The hotelkeeper said he'd seen them but he didn't know where they'd gone. Cheryl emerged from the shower in one of Scott's shirts. She complained about the situation. He pointed out that the sleeping bag fiasco had been worse. This time they have a bed without zippers. The sheriff came knocking on the door.

Lisa perceived that the phone call had reassured Mary. Felicia and Mary wept a little about Maisie. They talked about the unfairness of the police in Vince's case. Felicia offered to do the apartment over. Actually she mostly offered money as a way to help Vince.

Vince found out where Bernie and Mrs. Markham were staying and bought some cartridges for target practice with his brother-in-law Bernie.

Donna slowed up the escape a little. Michael heard a sound, I guess.
