Mac made threats about rolling heads. The serial killer's story was printed with gory details without his permission. Adam burst in eager to tear Tony limb from limb. He demanded an explanation.
Mary's Place was submerged in gloom. Ada produced Maisie's will. Maisie didn't want a funeral, just her friends gathered together to remember her. Ada and Mary said nice things about her. Ada threatened to kick somebody's butt. Why did Maisie die the way she did?
Mitch invited Nicole up to his room to chat about Michael and betrayal. She went up and got upset. He said he needed her help and said Michael had disappeared to find Donna.
Tony denied having leaked the story. Everyone took his side, except Adam, whom Rachel described as overwrought. [I like the word overwrought and Adam together. Like a fence.] A tremendous fight broke out. Adam yelled a lot. Mac tried to calm him down.
Captain Delaney cruised past Mary's Place to pay his respects. Ada gave him a hard time. He asked where Cheryl was. He said Scott and Cheryl were missing. Mary said that they had gone on a skiing trip. MJ backed her up. Captain Delaney said he wanted to talk to Cheryl when she got back. He said he'd return for the memorial service and left. Chad drifted in and swore to MJ that he had nothing to do with these deaths. She told him that any minute Adam would remember how he'd met Linda and then everything would come out about her and Chad.
Mac told Adam that Tony had known everything weeks ago but he hadn't published anything. Mac said he admired Tony's integrity. Adam apologized a little and set about embarrassing Nancy with Jamie's help.
Nicole was distressed. She doesn't want to believe her father did anything to Donna but she agreed to help.
Peter paced. He told his father his people had taken Michael prisoner. Reginald agreed that this was bigger than disastrous.
Chad was nice to Felicia. She was abstracted because of Maisie.
Mitch approached Sara for help.
Nancy is seriously impressed with Tony. Tony was very understanding about Adam's being frustrated and all that. He's helping Nancy to write a Maisie eulogy. Jamie interrogated him. Tony's life story: studied journalism at the University of Chicago, born and raised in the Windy City; two parents, happily married; brother; sister; two Irish setters; one cat; a canary, but it died. I have no debts, can't afford a credit card. I'm single, employed as a gofer and part time cub reporter — your stepfather pays me hardly anything at all. I have all 32 teeth, two tonsils, and as for Nancy — I'm crazy about her.
That Old Carrot would rather brood about Mary than fret about Peter's troubles. Peter suggested he put Michael and Donna on the yacht but separately until he could make Donna see reason. Reginald shrugged and said he didn't care what he did. Peter phoned for the yacht. That Old Carrot tried to guilt Nicole. He was quite wistful and told her the family would split apart. She said it wouldn't be because of her. He left. Nicole asked Peter if he had heard any news of Donna. He said not. She was very touchy with him. She heard him take a phone call involving a boat and tried to flee in a tremendous panic. He stopped her.
Maisie was just like family. Nancy tried to find out if Tony was better than crazy about her. He said she knew he was.
Adam questioned Mitch a little in a routine sort of way. Mitch drifted off. MJ became nervous when she perceived Adam looking at her funny. He told her he'd remembered where he'd met Linda and asked why she hadn't said she knew her. She told him that Linda had been mostly Kathleen's friend and she'd only just met her that night at the Northwoods Inn and she'd only just remembered who she was that morning. He looked at her funny. He said that was hard to believe because she was a good cop and smart. He kind of blamed device. His suspicious and he thinks she's cracking up.
Nicole made-up a lot of worry about Reginald and Peter's being a disgrace to the family name.
Jamie expressed concern about Lisa to Felicia. He found out that Lisa wasn't married. Everyone has gathered at Mary's Place for the memorial service. Ada began the proceedings. She said Maisie wouldn't have liked a usual service. Nancy delivered a very nice eulogy. Maisie was responsible for most of the goodwill in Bay City. Someone killed her because she was happy and in love. Ada read a piece of Macy's will about the joys of being a waitress with a heart of gold. They toasted Maisie, their friend.
MJ got upset with Chad after Adam left because she's certain Adam doesn't believe her. She said she was not worthy of Adam and his trust.
Ada gave Captain Delaney a hard time about Maisie's death.
Nicole reported to Mitch about what she'd overheard at home. He plotted with Sara. They know it was Peter and not Reginald.
