MJ returned to California. Kathleen asked why she was there.
Neal and Victoria were together in a rather loud drinking and dancing place. She doesn't drink.
Zane took in Felicia's ring so it wouldn't fall off again.
Cass and Wally seemed to be plotting together to buy equipment. Cass hung up when Sally came in. Sally is in cahoots with the wedding party. Cass likened Felicia's wedding to the Normandy invasion. He doesn't want his wedding to be quite such of splash but he is big on marriage of late. He told Sally he'd sent MJ to fetch Kathleen. Sally got a little upset at so much wedded bliss chat and Cass apologized for saying he wanted to wake up and see Kathleen next to him every morning. He asked what was wrong.
Kathleen is slightly daffy and chipper and declaring her intention to learn to walk on her hands if she must. MJ began raving about how lovely Cass was and the wonders of Lesoleil. Kathleen grew suspicious and accused her of being in Cass' pay.
Felicia's imagination ran away with her. It was Florette [our neighbour skunk]. Felicia had Zane put her out. He's chummy with an otter called Tillie too. She worried about their differences. He didn't. She got upset about the lavishness of the wedding. All he cares about is marrying her. He can't think what's wrong and said if she wanted to back out he could take it. She said she was just a goose. They are in love.
Some guys are having Zane's photo in the DA's file checked out.
Victoria can't get anything out of Neal. She said her theory was he was a spy. He admitted it. Michael slunk in and pulled up a telephone in the corner. He saw Victoria and deduced there was more to Marley than met the eye.
Cass implored Sally to take his mind off his problems and confide in him. She said she'd been thinking about her own wedding. He asked what had caused the rift within the lute. She blamed Brittany and the fact that Catlin had neglected to mention wifeinitial who pursued him relentlessly. Cass asked if Britt got him. Sally said "just enough to louse things up." Cass was nice. He said she could talk to him. The New Cass. Sally likes him. Cass thinks it would have served everyone just about right to have saved Carl's life and fixed him up with Brittany [too cruel to Carl and I'm sure Britt wouldn't appreciate him as he ought to be appreciated]. "Knocking down little old ladies." "nuking daycare centres till they glow." He asked her out for ice cream [it's 14 below].
Victoria danced with Neal. Presumably real Close. For Marley's voice echoing in Michael's head ["you're definitely the only man I will ever love"] excited bitterness and scorn. He decided it must run in the family. Fayez made certain Victoria was there [he has a spy present on the phone] and set out with some plan in mind.
Sally told Cass Catlin had refused to admit to the marriage counselor that they'd had problems from the start. Cass sympathized being of the ostrich school himself [I love this man]. They're glad to have each other to talk to. They're certain Kathleen will come around if she comes home.
Kathleen refused to return to Bay City. She's afraid one day Cass will see her as the millstone [or albatross] she knows herself to be. MJ told her to be strong and take the risk and go back to him. Kathleen announced that she had a craving for cappuccino ice cream [the same kind Cass and Sally had, I might add]. This discussion is over.
Neal asked to borrow Michael's phone but Michael said he hadn't used it. He returned to Vic. He used to have an oyster farm and then a bait farm. He asked why she didn't trust him. She put it down to his face. He pledged undying devotion and loyalty. They got up to dance. Michael brooded, peggoor sweggeet. He heard Marley's voice again and thought about Donna's similar declaration. And clandestine meetings. Kissing. His heart went out to Jake and he thought ill of Marley.
Fayez is most certainly plotting something sinister and potentially fatal.
Michael talked to Sherry on the phone and declared Bay City disillusioning. He has to go to Boston for a merger. He's leaving without seeing Donna because of betrayal.
The photog guys ran to the DA with Zane's name and occupation. They'd like to be in Martin's good books.
Cass asked Zane to pretty please be more enthusiastic about the revolting wedding. He left with Sally. Felicia told Zane she wasn't sure they were doing the right thing.
The McKinnons are fearfully silly. Kathleen refused to go back for Felicia's wedding. MJ got mad. Kathleen said she couldn't give Cass the slightest encouragement. MJ called her a creep for hurting Felicia's feelings.
Zane said what he wanted was the wedding she wanted but he doesn't like her drifting through to mention some accomplished fact. They quarreled. She demanded to know his preference. He said with absolute finality [in effect] that he would marry her anywhere green eggs and ham are available.
