Marley told Jake she'd given up looking for her father. He advised strongly against it.
Michael has plans for his time in Bay City.
MJ told Felicia she hadn't seen Cass in Malibu.
Cass wants to play a game. Memories.
Jake told Marley Donna and Victoria had known Ralph wasn't Michael. Marley refuses to believe that Donna would stoop so low as to deceive her deliberately about something so important.
Everything points to the fact that Michael is LOADED. His name is Hudson. He can't keep his mind on business. He thought about Donna showing him around the house while everyone was out and declaring that her father never paid attention to her and she'd rather live over the stables like he did. He asked her to prove it in ways beyond the scope of mere audio tape.
MJ did tell them of Miriam's report of Biff Malone, actor at large, and such things as stray car keys. She said Kathleen had gone away to a place without a phone. Exit MJ. Felicia's delighted that all evidence points to the fact that they are together. Enter Peter and Annie having a great time. They left for a movie. Zane ascertained from Felicia that Peter was an OK kind of guy. They wonder about Britt & Peter & Annie. She reminded him that he was always preaching non-interference and he agreed his advice was good.
Britt bitched at Joyce on the phone because she's got morning sickness. She never did with Evan. She rang off when Catlin wandered in and ordered pie. Clarice said she looked great and asked if she were gaining weight. [GOOD, Clarice. But then I don't think tact is her long suit.] Britt flew into a rage and demanded that Catlin attest to the fact that she hadn't gained an ounce in three years. [Comes of being drownded, I guess.] An affronted Clarice took herself to the kitchen and Britt joined Catlin. She offered herself as a sympathetic ear if he should want to talk. He left [laughing derisively at her offer]. Clarice commented that Catlin still meant a lot to Brittany. Britt said as the father of her child he always would. Clarice prattled on about Evan. Losing children is awful. But Peter is swell and if Clarice knows any stablehands send him over to the Loves' at 4:00 PM. Exit Britt. "well la-di-da" trilled Clarice with the ping of the cash register.
If you draw a blank you're allowed to ask three questions. Recollection of the first time Cass and Kathleen went skiing, bringing on depression on Kathleen's part — she may never ski again. Cass: you were always a lousy skier anyway. Kathleen: oh, thanks, that makes me feel much better. Cass: besides, we always had much more fun afterwards. You eating like a little piglet — Kathleen: you catching your boots on fire. Cass: that was not my fault. Kathleen: you put your stupid feet too close to the stupid flames. Cass: you poured stupid brandy on my stupid feet. Kathleen: I did not, it was hot chocolate. They laughed. Cass was pleased.
Michael thought about conspiring with Donna for them to find a way to be together and declaring that he'd love her forever. Marley's address is 986 Edna Drive. He wants to find her.
Britt went to the Love house where Bridget was preparing tea for Peter and the woman Bridget had assumed to be Brittany. She was not enlightened.
Annie and Peter are discussing their respective single states. Many moons ago she fell for a man who got seasick at the slightest provocation. It didn't pan out. Donna is the obstacle to Peter's marriages. Britt listened to Peter's admission that he'd like a wife but he keeps putting it off. Annie suggested he come to Lake Erie with her before the wedding but he said a) he might get seasick and b) he held the reins to Mac's realm. He offered to take a raincheck.
Marley needs time to think. Jake threw her out because Catlin's coming over to look at the videotape of the party. Catlin and Jake watched Victoria's back zillions of times. Clever Catlin [HA] sees that the people on either side of her are studiously avoiding having their faces in the picture. He advised him to keep the tape safe. And himself. Jake fled to meet Marley. Catlin remained to see that the tape was locked up.
Felicia scrapped the idea of teeny-tiny pink salmon sandwiches. Zane keeps saying whatever she wants. She feels he doesn't trust her. She's invited their nearest and dearest and the staff of every company with which she is associated. [KBAY, the Northwoods Inn, Lesoleil. All the major corporations {not Cory} in town.] Everyone except Donna. The reception at the country club. The only place in town big enough. All hunky-dory. The most wonderful wedding ever.
Cass and Kathleen are boating on the carpet. She said they had nothing in common. Cass' interpretation of the council of Reims: Rufus de Medici married Jeanne d'Arc after the battle of Crécy and merged Constantinople and the Holy Roman Empire. He has a ukulele. They started arguing about something trivial and she got so mad she tried to stand up. He was pleased. It's progress. At any rate he loves her no matter what. He asked if she'd shun him if he hadn't known her before the accident. She said she didn't think she could marry anyone. He told her she wanted him. Silence.
Michael snooped around the stables and hid when Marley and Jake came in to visit her beloved mare Diamond. She assured him he was the only man she'd ever loved. Michael puzzled to himself over Marley's role in the scheme of things.
Clarice told Catlin to quit moping around like a wounded animal. He said he and Sally were going to see the marriage counselor tonight and it had to work this time or else.
Marley and Jake left. They're going to go skiing. Britt came in and mistook Michael for a stable hand.
Cass and Kathleen got all tangled up for a bit. Then she pulled away and started sobbing because of the paralysis.
