ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

January 7, 1988

Lisa made Jamie very welcome in her home. Rachel knocked.

Felicia tried to avoid Mitch. He tried to pin her down.

Cass feels time is of the essence. He dumped the contractor. Nicole was surprised. She told Cass she wouldn't have him sleeping with the suppliers. He told her she was out of line. She admitted to being on edge. France is only six weeks away. She rushed off. Cass hasn't told her she has only four weeks.

Jamie let Rachel in, buttoning his shirt. Rachel said Jason had outbid her. She warned Jamie to be careful of him and left. Jamie kissed Lisa. He got beeped. There was no escaping it. Lisa forgave him utterly. He left.

Felicia quibbled. She told Mitch he hadn't asked a question, he'd made a statement. He asked her a question. Yes or no answer. She prevaricated. He told her he loved her. He said the time was right. She bugged him about Rachel a little. He said he'd always known somehow he wouldn't wind up with Rachel. Felicia embraced him and asked for a little time. He granted it, looking profound. She told him she loved him.

Chad found out about an experimental drug in Europe he thought Dawn should try. When Jamie told him it wasn't FDA approved, or a guaranteed cure, and might have side effects, he didn't care. He stomped off. Vicky found Jamie in a foul mood and asked if his living arrangements were getting him down. He snubbed her. She merely changed gears.

Cass asked John to work for him full time, starting immediately. John accepted. Felicia asked Cass to tell her his troubles. He said Jacques Dupannnier [remember him] had postponed Monte Carlo two weeks, which made it too late, which meant Cass had very cleverly moved his schedule up two weeks without telling Nicole. Felicia was appalled. He promised he'd tell Nicole. She told him her trouble. [I tried to think of something to rhyme with T, because I didn't think pool would fit the bill. [Some people say fill the bill but on the grounds of lex difficilior potior I maintain that fit the bill is more likely.]]

Scott and Dawn walked into Mary's Place bearing suitcases. Dawn told Cheryl she was moving in with Scott. Cheryl assured her that she and Vince weren't worried about living with her. [If that were the point, I'm sure it would be much worse having her live over their restaurant.] Dawn said she wanted to spend as much time as possible with Scott. They wept a little and embraced.

Vicky invited Jamie to attend the U2 concert with her and Nathan and a gang. He said he wasn't up for it. She kept at it. He said he had plans with Lisa.

Felicia told Cass she was a little scared. Nicole came up and tried to hire John. John told her Cass had beaten her to it. She was peeved. She complained to John. Cass described Nicole's flaws to Felicia. Felicia advised him to be charming to Nicole as well as the suppliers. John advised to Nicole to be nice. They [Cass and Nicole] were civil when they met. They were suspicious. They bent over backwards to overcome it and left together. John gave Felicia his notice. She said she'd miss him. She thanks Cass for her having no bartender.

Vicky procured a ticket for Lisa but Jamie held out. Vicky shrugged and ran off with Nathan II. [Nathan I had a nicer face, and wore his glasses only socially. Nathan II wears them only professionally, but I like his manner well enough.]

Dawn found a note on the piano which said Scott had gone shopping. She sat down to play and reminisced about her relationship with him. He found her staring into space. She told him she didn't want to leave him.

Wally was eager to fill in for John. Felicia burst into tears. She told Wally her trouble. He advised her not to get married if she didn't want to. He suggested a PMI. She found a lot of Ms. Mitch caught her.

Lisa welcomed Jamie home. They spotted Vicky on TV at the concert. Jamie was happy to be home.

Something came for Nicole. She told Cass tips were business. It was plane tickets. Nicole saw the dates were wrong. Cass coughed and admitted they weren't.

Scott told Dawn she could talk to him. He assured her he wasn't afraid of AIDS, and he didn't mind not being able to do more than hold her.

Lisa was surprised that Jamie wouldn't rather be at the concert. He kissed her.

Mitch helped Felicia with her PMI. He had a lot of Ps. He tried to get rid of the Ms.

Cass explained himself. Nicole reeled. Cass assured her she could meet the deadline. She was swayed by his eloquence.
