Mary couldn't stand it any more so she went in. Vince clutched at her briefly . She told him they needed each other.
Felicia promised Cass that life would go on.
Lisa let Jamie in. He demanded that she tell him the truth. He said he wouldn't leave until she told him. She said she thought if she told him everything about herself he'd walk away and never come back.
Cass and Felicia and Wally reminisced about Enid Royer and the dreaded unwigging of Krystle Lake and Rocco.
Vince pulled away and said he thought he wanted to be by himself. Mary said she didn't want to be alone. They embraced. They talked about her father. She said she was going to make tea. He asked her to stay.
Cass and Wally and Felicia laughed their heads off. They used the word nefarious. Felicia told Cass Kathleen would want him to go on being a self-centred opportunist.
Jamie told Lisa he loved her. Lisa began to talk about Gollum. She described the honeymoon warren ordeal. He asked what she had told Gollum to stop him raping her. She said she'd told him she wasn't a virgin. Jamie assured her that he wouldn't expect her to be, since he wasn't one himself. She stared at him and said he didn't understand but he kept on elaborating on that theme. She told him he was the first boyfriend she'd ever had. He allowed himself confused. She told him she'd been raped when she was fourteen.
The inmates got rather drunk and fell into tongue-twisters. Felicia and Cass told Wally about their affair and the fight that ended it. Mitch came up. Felicia was startled.
Mary told Vince she needed him and wouldn't let him talk. Kissing.
Mitch told Felicia he'd wait for her in his room. (Then the scene kept switching -- a minute of Felicia talking to Mitch, a minute of Felicia talking to Cass, a minute of Felicia talking to Mitch, etc. I could make no sense of it.) Felicia told Cass that life goes on and left.
Jamie encouraged Lisa to talk about it. She talked until she became agitated. Jamie soothed her. She said she must do something to encourage men since both the boyfriend and Gollum were affected the same way. Jamie told her that no woman did anything to encourage rape. She told him she loved him too much to ruin his life. He said he'd take his chances. He held her and told her he loved her and he was sorry those things had happened to her.
Felicia talked to Mitch about Cass and Kathleen. She doesn't like it when Mitch goes away. She said they wouldn't waste any time like Cass and Kathleen. Mitch gave her a present.
Vince and Mary wound up in bed. He told her he loved her. He got out of bed to look out the window. He talked about the kids. He said he'd been angry when she came back because he hadn't wanted to need anyone that much again. She said she needed him and invited him back to bed. He went to check on the kids.
Jamie tucked Lisa up in bed in her clothes. They chatted about Khemingvey. ("Wouldn't it be pretty to think so?") He promised her everything would get better.
Vince found that Cheryl and Becky were all right and came back to bed. They comforted each other. He told her he'd never stopped loving her. Kissing.
Felicia's gift was a little totem pole. She seemed less than thrilled. She behaved oddly. He said Matthew had said she wouldn't like it. She refused to let him take it back. He intends it for protection while he's not there. Kissing. Felicia put it down on her night table facing away so it wouldn't stare at them.
Cass and Wally kept on drinking and talking. Cass toyed with the idea of leaving town. Wally told him his place was in Bay City. Cass said good night.
Lisa had come to Pinewood with her father as a child. Jamie was very nice and understanding (but he fails to THRILL [me]). Lisa turned over to sleep contentedly.
