ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

October 31, 1985

Nancy said Chris must have gone to the tomb and they had to go after him. Hawk said no.

Maisie with a new hairstyle [at least cut] has missed Catlin's shining morning face in Smiley's this week while he was busy entertaining Sally off work holed up in the cabin. But Sally is in Chicago and he doesn't like to eat alone. Enter Britt. She joined him and thought about the coroner telling her the footprints matched. She told him they didn't.

The key turned and the tomb opened to the delight of Carl and Daphne. Daphne got carried away and very nearly dashed in unprotected. Fayez stayed her. Chris is observing from behind a plant. Carl berated her. Daphne said she wasn't going to die. They donned their masks. Carl talked about his faulty filters some more. They entered the tomb.

Grant is tired of paperwork. He insisted on repairing Maisie 's refrigerator. REAL WORK.

Catlin was not chatty. He said it was hard to accept. Britt [who is excitable] said his death had been hard to accept. She insisted Evan was alive and she was going to find him. Catlin said he and Larry were off the case. She said she'd get someone else. He said he didn't care. She said nothing mattered to him. He denied it. She suggested they have dinner to discuss it at the Northwoods Inn. He agreed. He said he'd be happy if she found Evan. She said they'd move back to Dry Creek if she did. He asked if the coroner had been sure. She recalled the coroner being sure they were the same and told Catlin he had been. Exit Catlin.

Hawk and Nancy argued. She fled. He went after her.

Inside the tomb Daphne saw a snake and screamed.

Clarice helped Cory with the Jack O'Lantern. Enter Larry with his suitcases. He told Cory he was moving back in. Clarice sent Cory to his room. She gave Larry a hard time for not talking to her about this. He told her he loved her and belonged there. She was not placated. She said everything was his fault. She told him to leave.

Carl shot the snake. It was a sacred snake guarding the figure of the Princess. The golden image is all they found. When they moved it a thing dropped from it unnoticed.

Britt called the coroner and told him there was a man who pursued her. He's strange but she doesn't want to make a big fuss. She is afraid the strange man will call pretending to be her husband in order to find out about her. He promised not to tell.

Larry is a jerk. Clarice asked for time. She told him he'd hurt her. He said they loved each other. She said she'd trusted him and he'd let her down. He doesn't think they should be denied years of happiness because he's a jerk.

The treasure is gone except for the Princess. Carl sent Daphne and Fayez on ahead with her and scooped the diseased dust into a baggie for Mac. [a souvenir.] outside Daphne was nearly in tears for all the lost years. Fayez lost patience. Carl is pleased with himself. When he came out Fayez and Daphne had gone for the van but Chris was there about to make off with the treasure. Chris said his father was a smarter man than Carl would ever be and he suspected he'd had a change of heart in his final months. [I'll bet the treasure is in ARIZONA at the reservation so as to be able to mess Sally and/or Michaud up in this.] Carl, incensed, decided to put him in the tomb with the dust. Chris said he'd have to shoot him first. Carl said he might. Chris asked what he'd do next. Carl intends to amuse himself with the Corys. He knocked Chris out and dragged him into the doorway.

Catlin dropped by Larry's and congratulated his brother and wife. Clarice fled for work. Cory went to his room. Catlin feels strange about Britt paying someone else to find Evan. Larry suggested Catlin call the coroner to make sure Britt wasn't deluded. Catlin has no doubts about Britt's veracity.

Clarice bitched about Larry to Maisie. She wants Larry back but he's behaving like an idiot. Maisie made allowances for him.

Britt asked Grant for reservations for a secluded table.

The coroner refused to tell Catlin anything unless he filled out forms in Dry Creek. Larry said he'd have to take Britt's word for it then. Catlin said Britt wouldn't invent anything so important.

Carl etc were scared off by sirens. They left Chris and their things and fled. Nancy and Hawk dashed up as Chris revived and pulled himself out of the doorway. They were responsible for the siren. Chris said they should put on the masks and go in.

Britt and Clarice talked. Britt said the Ewing brothers were stubborn but they'd see the light. Enter Larry and Catlin with Cory trick or treating. Larry announced to Clarice he'd unpacked his things and was staying. She said he had to sleep on the couch and they had to talk and not keep secrets. He agreed. Britt stared at Catlin playing with Cory.

They inspected the tomb and found the staff of the Princess. Chris said it belonged to the government. Nancy pocketed it secretly. They photographed some strange symbols on the wall.

Catlin told Larry he wanted to see Sally. Larry said he'd take Kevin and Catlin could go to Chicago. Catlin was pleased but hesitant. He gave in.

Maisie gave Grant candy and kissed him.

Catlin broke his date with Britt. She can't talk now. She told him to go away and leave her alone. He said he'd call. He thinks she's a reasonable human being. I can hear it in his voice. But LOVE? Exit Catlin. Britt went to the phone and said she had to go home.

Chris and Hawk and Nancy got out as the door slid to. They looked at their photographs and found the keys. Nancy was delighted to regain her ring and pendant. Hawk suggested they use the symbols to find the treasure. Nancy said they looked familiar.

Carl said they'd overlooked something. Daphne's overwrought. Carl turned over a table. He found a package for Mac from Nancy and decided to add a surprise to the blue jar within.
