Rachel begged an unconscious Mac to hang on. He woke up and was glad to see nurse Rachel again.
Nancy and Pam waited for Chris to return. He arrived at the lab rarin' to go and Pam told him they couldn't.
Wally: Felicia honey do you think it worked? Felicia: well it worked in my book. Wally: I don't know though. The concierge at Cass' apartment looked awfully suspicious. Felicia: why would you say that? Wally: well he kept winking at me like he knew what was going on. Felicia: HONEY. The man had a TWITCH, he had a twitch. Wally: oh, bless his — I hope you're right. Felicia: I think I am. Besides, it worked just like it did in White Snow in Hell. Except honey — I think you overdid the dialogue just a bit. Wally: Felicia, if we wanted all of the people at that apartment house to think that silly mannequin was really Cass, dead drunk, and we were dragging him in through the back elevator, we had to make it seem realistic. Felicia: Wally. "Cass Winthrop, boy you really tied one on. You know what, Cass Winthrop? I think what I'd do is go in and lie down, CASS WINTHROP. And stay there for two days. Are you listening to me, CASS WINTHROP?" Do you really think that's realistic? Wally: well I wanted everybody to hear his name. They hope the DA hears and believes Cass is in town and that he's with Kathleen.
Cass agreed to go home and let Kathleen go to Malibu. Obstacle: the car cannot be moved for snow. Cass doesn't want to try.
Nancy assured Rachel Chris would help Mac. Rachel's afraid she's losing her mind. Nancy went to find Chris.
Pam told Chris about Dr Longo walking in. He got upset. He told her she couldn't help him any more. Dr McIntyre appeared on purpose to have a slight chat with him.
Felicia and Wally think it would be a good idea to find Fayez. Enid Royer drifted in eager to talk about Felicia's fiancé. She asked to see Felicia's ring. Felicia looked at Wally in a panic.
Kathleen is mad. Cass said he'd get the car.
Rachel is seriously annoyed with Dr Longo for not supporting Dr Chapin. She threatened [obliquely] to withdraw Cory support if Chris were not permitted to continue. He told her Chris was young and his "cure" could be fatal. Rachel was taken aback.
Dr McIntyre thanks Chris' obsession with saving Mac has to do with his father's death. Chris stomped out.
Britt surprised Zane at something sinister.
Felicia displayed her bare fingers to Enid Royer and discussed with Wallingford her flawless diamond. Enid admired it and fled. Felicia doesn't want to ask Zane for a ring. Wally's annoyed with him. Dee dashed in and told them there was something about Cass on the radio.
Zane's cleaning and restoring a ring for Felicia. He's glad to see Britt dressing better. She said it had to do with the love of her life. When asked about said love she asked how long Annie meant to be in town. Only until after the wedding. She asked if it were serious with Peter. She said she was in love with him. He asked what had happened to Caitlin. She said she wasn't living in the past anymore and she'd lost all respect for him for letting some woman hog-tie him. [ye gods. You wouldn't have minded had said woman been you, you insidious bitch.] He asked about Peter being hog-tied by Donna and she said Peter was stronger and asked a favour.
The DA announced that Cass had failed to show for his pre-trial hearing [which had been moved up on the QT] so unless he appears before midnight his bail will be revoked and all that entails.
Cass can't get the car started. He's covered in snow. We got us a blizzard, he says. She laughs and doesn't believe him. She advised him to get out of his wet clothes. He has a wonderful idea.
Nancy told Chris Rachel was counting on his cure. He yelled at her for promising something she couldn't deliver. He told her to mind her own business. She was crushed. He apologized. She told him not to touch her.
Dee's one ray of hope is she knows Cass saw something in a magazine and decided to go to Seattle. A real estate phone number. Felicia called and talked to Elvira who said she'd rented a cabin for Cass and his wife. No phone there. Felicia asked if she could take a vital message up for them.
Cass pushed computer therapy. He said he'd be there for her whether it worked or not. She said she needed room to try. She can't fail in front of him. He suggested sledding and things. Have a good time, forget one's troubles.
Zane gave his promise that he wouldn't interfere with Britt and Peter and Annie. Or at least he wouldn't do something. Britt said Peter was the real thing and rushed out as Wally rushed in asking him to help Felicia. He spotted the ring and was thrilled.
Nancy and Chris forgave each other. Rachel asked Chris if Dr Longo were telling the truth.
The stone is imperial alexandrite in a rare setting which Zane picked up on a dive. Been underwater for years. Wally enlisted his aid in getting Cass back into Bay City unobserved. Enter Felicia declaring the worst possible thing had happened.
The facts are simple: if Mac takes the drug he might die. If he doesn't he WILL die. Rachel agreed to sign the consent forms. Rachel flipped out and thought Mac was in Alberta. Nancy was distressed. Chris said she'd come out of it on her own. Pam summoned Chris to the boardroom.
Felicia said Elvira had hit the cabin and Cass and Kathleen weren't there. She left a note. Felicia has given up.
Cass and Kathleen pranced in from bobsledding [born to bobsled. Bobsledding is my life] without bobsleds. Garbage can covers instead. Kathleen went to take a nap. She refused to let Cass lie with her. He put her to bed. He came out and read Elvira's note. "Urgent you return to Bay City by midnight tonight or go to jail. PS I never would have rented you the cabin if I'd known you were a criminal. I hope your wife knows." He burned it.
