Adam told the captain that it was not fair to demote MJ and assign her a detective's job. MJ did not appreciate his help. She has a problem with the sleazy clothes she has to wear.
Mary telephoned Father O'Connor.
Rachel and Felicia and Quinn giggled about Reginald's party. Rachel reacted strangely when Felicia said Mitch was going with her as a pirate.
Mac went into the stables. Matthew told him Mitch was hiding behind the wall. Mac told him that was silly because Mitch, although swell, could not have walked through a wall. Matthew turned on him for constantly putting Mitch down. Mitch, noblest of men, never puts Mac down. Matthew said he'd heard Mitch tell Rachel that if she ever changed her mind about him Mac it wouldn't be because of Mac but because of her feelings for him Mitch. Mac suggested they go back to the house. He assured Matthew he didn't hate Mitch.
Rachel warned Felicia that Mitch was troubled. Felicia said she wanted Mitch to meet Reginald face to face. Right Felicia dared her to come. Rachel said she might. They giggled and giggled.
Mary left an important message for Father O'Connor. Gomez tried to convince her to tell Mr Love. Mary dismissed her. She chatted with Brittany about her children. She decided to confront MJ.
MJ got very weird when Adam told her she only had to wear a slightly improper costume, not turn tricks.1
Mac told Rachel he wouldn't go to the Love mansion no matter what. Felicia and Quinn fled. Rachel told Mac she was going to Reginald's party. He told her not to set foot in That House without him. She said he'd have to come then. Matthew rushed in and advised Mac to go. The cook's name is Lillian. Mac refused to eat.
Sara (wearing a trench coat) wandered into Mary's Place. She told Catlin she had a great idea for their costumes so they could hang out at Reginald's party. She opened her coat, revealing strategically placed leaves and a bodystocking. "You Adam, me Eve." Catlin hastily covered her up again. She told him there hadn't been a bodystocking large enough for him and produced a single fig leaf for his costume. Catlin got weird. She called him a bore. She told him Peter had threatened Brittany.
Adam seems very protective of MJ. She doesn't appreciate it. Oho. He thinks she's weird because he attacked her the other day, peggoor sweggeet. Mary arrived. MJ asked him not to leave. He did . Mary asked if she would ever accept her as her mother.
Mark cornered Rachel for a chat about Mitch. He is afraid she is changing too much. He accused her of being tired of him. They yelled at each other. She told him he was being silly.
Catlin heard Peter's threats and declared them ambiguous. He can't think why Brittany doesn't just pack her bags and go. Sara asked if he wanted her back. He told her to mind her own business. He told her he didn't have the shoes to match the leaf so no go.
Felicia saw Catlin and Sara together and approved. Mitch appeared.
MJ told Mary that Pops had priority. Mary told her she felt terrible about what had happened. She said she wanted to get acquainted with her children. MJ told her it had been strange to grow up without a mother. (Did this push her over the brink onto the streets?) Pops was their mother. Mary was a saint. Mary said Vince had raised a wonderful young woman.
Felicia and Mitch dispersed. They went to their separate homes.
Quinn liked Zack's stuff except the typing. I don't like him.
Brittany imagined Catlin confessing to her that he'd killed Peter. She was worried for him. He told her he'd covered his tracks. He'd been planning it for months. He killed Peter on his way to the airport and then sent a Peter impostor on the plane to Japan and back. Brittany was impressed but wait, there's more: once the body is found, there will be clues leading to another woman and an underground drug connection. Brittany was thrilled. She asked Catlin why he had been willing to risk everything for her sake. He said he loved her, always had, always would, etc, etc. He told her they were going back to perfect Wyoming. Mary interrupted her. She reported that she liked MJ tremendously and was determined to get to know her.
Catlin got Sara home at a reasonable hour. She told him she'd help him get Brittany back. He asked why she was so hung up on that. She said it was obvious that he was in love with Brittany. He said it wasn't because he wasn't he had been but now he merely cared about her as a friend. They chatted a little about Joe. She went in. (They get along fine.)
Mac and Rachel calmed down and got their marriage back on track.
Mary and Brittany talked. Mary still can't understand how she could have left for children. Father O'Connor phoned. Mary said she had to know the truth. He said he'd be over tomorrow at 7.
* it would not make sense for MJ to have been a prostitute. She never got weird with Jamie. Were they hinting when she told Vince she wouldn't make a good role model for Cheryl? Catlin was never married before either.
