ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

October 28, 1986

Catlin told Michael That Old Carrot was in Chicago. He was about to tell him why when Peter wandered into the stables.

Brittany phoned Mitch to report the failure of their plan. When Mitch rang off Matthew strolled in and asked if he'd been talking to his girlfriend.

Rachel tried to give Adam one of her sculptures. He protested that it was too much but the Corys forced him.

Donna stumbled around the house looking for her medicine. She told Gomez to stop following her. Gomez told her she ought to lie down. She refused. Mary appeared and advised her not to kill herself planning Reginald's skeet shoot. She can't think why Reginald has come over all sociable all of a sudden. He was reclusive in Paraguay. Gomez said she knew Mr Love was anxious to regain his social position. (Mary: Tell me, Gomez, does Mr Love program you every morning?) Mary expressed surprise that Donna had done a 180 ° turn (or 360 ° turn if you're JD Roberts) in her opinion of her father. Donna put her inconsistency down to her illness. Gomez: Mrs Love, didn't you say that you wanted help in organizing closets? Mary: That Gomez, mind like a steel trap. Gomez wandered off with her to see to the closets. Donna whimpered for Michael.

Peter was weird. Michael said Catlin was his friend. Catlin wandered off, saying he'd give him a call. Peter chatted about the horses. Peter is taken in by Reginald's sudden sociability. He told him [Michael] Donna was through with him. Michael told him Reginald wanted to control everyone. Peter insisted his father loved him.

Mac stomped around with Rose, working. There's something very icky about her Very like she has a crush on him.

Matthew told Rachel he'd heard Mitch on the phone with his girlfriend. Rachel thought it was Felicia. Mitch denied not having a girlfriend, dating, wanting to date Felicia, etc.

Adam lured MJ up to his wicked bachelor pad. He's renting from the Corys so he lives nearby but he can have his privacy. She noticed he was cooking dinner and, embarrassed, said she'd leave him to get settled in. She promised to give him a housewarming party at some future date. He told her he'd lured her up there for the express purpose of warming the house with her.

Donna was short with Brittany, who made helpful suggestions about where she could find her medicine. Peter walked in and apologized for their little fight. Exit Peter. Donna warned her if she didn't watch her step she'd lose Peter and find herself out in the cold with nothing. Brittany seemed unconcerned.

Mary wandered down to the stables to chat with Michael about the confusion in her life. How can she still love Reginald and be loyal to him? Why wasn't she loyal to Vince? She told him [Michael] she'd experienced the good in him [Reginald]. He said he hadn't. They decided not to talk about Reginald. She thinks it's odd that she should feel comfortable with her husband's worst enemy.

Rachel and Mitch agree Mac is a fine man. Mitch keeps saying strange things, and when Rahcel reacts to them he pretends to have been talking about something else.

Peter found Brittany carving a pumpkin and bugged her. She ignored him. He told her to listen to him when he was talking. She whirled around and cut his hand. She warned him that if he threatened her again he'd be a dead man. Donna rushed in. Peter said it was an accident and went to clean up. Brittany wandered off with her pumpkin.

Adam told MJ he had wanted some time for them to be alone together. She said they were alone all the time at the office and in the squad car. He swung her up into his arms and said he couldn't do that at the office. She said, "why would you want to?" and told him to put her down. He sat down on the couch with her on his lap. Then he kissed her. She got a little weird. He was extremely persuasive and sensible and in a matter of minutes was kissing her again. She moved his hand away firmly when he began fiddling with her necktie. Then her beeper went off.

Sara told Catlin Peter's hand had been cut and Brittany had been running around with a jack o'lantern. They hid when Peter crept in and left a box in the stables. After he left they tried to leave, but they heard someone coming. Not having time to hide, Catlin, thinking quickly, pulled her into his arms and kissed her passionately. Michael apologized profusely for having interrupted them and beat a hasty retreat. Sara: how dare you do that to me. Catlin: do what? Sara: treat me like a Sex Object. Catlin: I didn't. Sara: You didn't just grab me like a beanbag and kiss me? Joe would never do anything like that. Catlin: That was a cover. Sara: would you have done that if I were a man? Catlin: Of course not. Sara: I rest my case. Exit Sara. Michael appeared and apologised again. Catlin told him Reginald was changing money. Bolivian pesos to Japanese yen to American dollars. Something's afoot.

Quinn bugged Rachel about Mitch. Rachel determinedly chatted about aubergine. She assured her Mitch didn't bug her. Quinn phoned Zach and arranged to meet him. Matthew cruised through looking for Mitch. He knew Mitch couldn't have left because he wouldn't leave without saying goodbye.

Michael found Donna lurking in the stables and accused her of having come to see him. He kissed her. She broke away and ran off.

MJ is on the vice squad now, investigating prostitution at the Pig Whistle. She'll be tending bar. She's a little weird. Adam said she looked very wholesome and girl-next-door. He tried to soothe her. She relaxed a little. He told her he liked her a lot. Kissing. Beeping. Poor Adam.

Mitch slid back his everlasting panel and went beyond it. Matthew wandered in and yelled after him, wondering where he'd gone.

Donna found her medicine in the kitchen, although she'd looked there before. Gomez hovered. She warned her not to get overwrought. She said a condition such as hers was often linked to insanity. Donna grew hysterical and said her father had told her to say that.

Brittany threatened Peter.
