Felicia welcomed Zane home. She was afraid he was overtaxing himself.
Catlin and Sally are going away on a ski weekend. Liz told Sally she figured she and Catlin would be back together by tomorrow morning. Sally decided perhaps she shouldn't go.
Victoria persisted. Donna clammed up and fled. Bridget restrained Victoria from pursuing her. Vic tried to pump her. Bridget knows nothing. She likes Michael. Victoria wonders if Michael is after the Love fortune.
Liz got hysterical and told Sally she had to go. Sally doesn't want to be hurt again. Liz told her everything would be swell and all those feelings would come back. Sally's afraid everything's moving too quickly and she doubts trust will ever return. But she'll go.
Larry interrogated Catlin. Catlin said they were going only to ski and if Sally wanted to go slowly so did he. Catlin said he would behave himself rather than risk blowing months of progress.
Felicia told Zane his being shot had been a real boon to her. She has an idea for a new book. The hero is shot and with a bullet lodged in his brain he forgets all about the heroine. Zane made to go, for, as he reasoned, "if I can't remember you, what am I doing here?" She hauled him back.
Donna dropped in on Michael. He wants no truck with lies or liars. He told her the twins could cope with being illegitimate. She said all of Bay City would delight in having news like this about her. He showed her the lie wouldn't wash. He told her if she didn't tell the twins he would.
Catlin and Sally are on their way. They're getting along all right. Not REALLY well, but it's OK. The car died in the middle of nowhere.
Donna accused Michael of planning to turn her children against her. She blames Jake for turning Marley against her. She begged for one week. He said he had an appointment and showed her out. She's glad to have her week.
Neal found Victoria alone in the Northwoods Inn and sat with her. He accused her of still being hung up on Jake. He didn't believe her denials. She persisted in denying it. He claimed responsibility for the feds leaving her alone from now on. She thanked him. He got a kiss. Enter Michael.
The car can't be fixed tonight. The Ewings have to go to a motel.
Victoria told Michael the good news about the feds. Neal beat "a graceful but hasty retreat." Michael seems less than thrilled with Neal. Victoria said she might have misjudged Neal, he could be OK. Michael doubts it. He asked Victoria to call Marley to have her meet them at the Love estate sans Jake. We'll surprise Donna.
There are no towing services for miles. They booked separate rooms [as Mr. & Mrs. Ewing].
Felicia decided to help Zane regain his memory. It involved removing clothes. He said it was instructive and entertaining but not particularly helpful. At long last he remembered.
Catlin and Sally assembled in her room with cheesy things out of a vending machine. The stuff is kind of stale. They got along quite well. He said he missed her and kissed her. She flipped out and said this was a setup. He denied it. He accused her of liking being kissed. He told her they loved each other. She left. He called after her "watch out for the bear."
Michael wouldn't tell Victoria anything. They chatted about Marley and Victoria. He suggested they read Moby Dick someday. Victoria said she loved Marley and Marley loved her.
Donna is pleased with her week's grace. Enter Marley saying Victoria had called. Donna told her she'd told Victoria not to call. Victoria and Michael appeared.
Sally couldn't start the car so she decided to hitchhike.
Catlin over heard the motelier saying the Bear had been sighted again not far away. Catlin rushed out after Sally.
Zane suggested he get reacquainted with the bedroom. She said what a wonderful final chapter this would make. He said he didn't want the story ever to end. She agreed and burned the MS.
Catlin found Sally but she yelled at him when he told her to come back. He threw her over his shoulder and carried her off kicking and screaming.
Donna commenced hyperventilating. Michael told her to tell or he would.
