ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

August 28, 1987

Mac and Sam left Tops arm in arm. Rachel may have seen them.

Amanda decided to go to Brava to hunt up her father to tell him her alias. Ada gave her a hard time about credit. Amanda is giving up hot guys while she's concentrating on her career.

Michael couldn't understand why Victoria was suddenly down on John. She backed off. He retired into his study with his mail. Her mail contained more photographs.

John told Donna she still wanted him. There was a smack and a terrible silence and then Donna said "I didn't mean for that to happen." I figured she'd either killed him or kissed him. Since he then said "Didn't you?" I assume he isn't dead. (I have been over this to the point where I wonder whether there's any Zweck at all. I am sickened.) He told her she couldn't keep away from him or ignore him. She denied everything. He's a pig. (That is nowhere near strong enough.)

Amanda lingered. She made for the phone book and denied she was looking up Sam's number. Heavy-handed.

Mac invited Rachel to join the party. Rachel did not blow the whistle. She stayed behind to talk to Felicia. Mitch thanked her. Felicia drew her fire. She pointed out that the only drawback Sam had was his brother.

Victoria hid the photographs when Peter came in. He told her he hated to see her lonely. She asked how long it had taken him to realise that Brittany was interested in someone else. Michael appeared, cutting that line of questioning short. Michael's looking for Donna. He got a business call.

Donna told John she was never coming back again. He talked nicely about her father's persecution of her and told her he wasn't trying to hurt her. She asked him to leave. He accused her of oversimplification. He said his leaving would not solve all her problems, so he won't go. He went on about her feelings for him. She told him they had to fight their attraction. He said they had to start from the truth. He told her not to run away from him again. She said she loved Michael.

Mac introduced Sam to Michelle, who runs this place. Amanda crept in and asked Michelle to buzz Mac with her new name. Mac said he'd never heard of her.

Someone's plotting against Michael. That Old Carrot. Victoria hinted about John. Michael did not infer a single thing. He was caught up in business and loyalty to John. He did say she was like John. So she should understand him. She said maybe she did. Exit Michael. Enter Peter. He asked her to confide in him. She was not receptive.

John told Donna he knew she loved Michael, but he thought it was possible to be in love with two people at the same time. (Of course he knows best. He's the man.) He said the night he raped her they had both been looking for an excuse. He said nothing had changed. He said he deserved to know if Victoria could be his daughter. Heels.

Rachel wrestled with her conscience. She said she would tell Mac the truth without regard for Sam's convenience.

Michelle insisted. Mac let Sam go. Amanda was on the phone trying to find Sam through directory assistance. She did not seem to see him. Mac laughed when she was introduced to him. She waited for a ride home and called the numbers she had.

Peter did his Bette Davis impression to amuse Victoria. True to her namesake, she was not amused. Then he got her to laugh by demonstrating how flamenco dancers appear to be sniffing the lining of their jackets. Now that the ice is broken . . . Victoria cannot confide. She had just started hinting when Donna burst in looking for Michael.

Amanda got stuck talking to an old woman. Mac came out of his office. Rachel arrived. She did not tell Mac about Sam.

Sam has a tendency to lose jobs. (Creative differences.) Michael came up to Tops looking for That Old Carrot. Felicia was interested. Sam came by to get some of his drafting material. He seems to feel he has carte blanche from Mac.

Peter decided to go for a walk. Victoria was suspicious of Donna. John came and asked to talk to Donna. Victoria went after Peter. Donna tried to avoid John. He kept it up. He forced her to admit she felt something for him.
