Rachel immersed herself in a letter from Matthew and went to lunch with Felicia. Mitch was at the Northwoods Inn but she bore up.
Reginald told Mitch not to quit. Mitch told him he'd wasted enough time looking in that mile-long tunnel for a door. Reginald told him he'd have him thrown in prison again if he didn't cooperate. Mitch hung up. Reginald fussed about Marissa.
Marissa is flying to the United States.
Kathleen is going to talk with Aunt Helen ("Aunt Helen? Aunt Helen Jake's mum?" "No, Cheryl, one of the other sixteen Aunt Helens we have") about Mary and Reginald. Vince is not to know. Enter Vince. Adam rushed in and dragged MJ out. Vince demanded that Kathleen tell him where she was going. She said she had to do as much research as possible. He told her Aunt Helen couldn't tell her any more than he had. She said she wanted a different perspective. Then said not to put much stock in what Helen "doom and gloom" McKinnon said.
Mitch asked Rachel to send his love and his picture to Matthew. Rachel refused. She said they'd tell Matthew about him before the restraining order expired. Felicia rescued her.
Ludwig's awake. He could be brain damaged. Adam and Michael want him to implicate Reginald.
Alonso said the Jeep and the horses had not been taken but Dolores had gone. Reginald and Gomez took off to look at Ludwig.
Felicia insisted on going to look at Ludwig. Wallingford fretted. Rachel said she'd go after Felicia in his stead.
Adam and Michael are gloating with anticipation. Lieutenant Samuel said Michael wasn't to be allowed in the room. Reginald trotted up. The doctor said Ludwig would be able to chat later. Reginald sent for Peter.
Vince doesn't like Cheryl hanging out with Scott. He's furious with Kathleen and Reginald. He told Cheryl Rachel was making a sculpture of Mary for her grave. (Yuck.) Cheryl told him he was the sweetest person she knew. He said Mary had been sweeter and she reminded him more and more of her.
Aunt Helen asked if Jake were still waiting for his ship to come in and someone to unload it. I AM INDIGNANT. Kathleen said not. She said she hadn't seen him in a while but she was sure he was fine. I don't like Aunt Helen. She is lally lally. Kathleen asked her about her mother. Aunt Helen doesn't like Vince. She looked after the McKinnon children while Mary worked at the Love house. Vince and Mary fought.
The police were let in to visit Ludwig. Adam asked if Reginald Lasalle had hired him. Ludwig said yes and agreed to tell them everything. He said they wouldn't like it.
Felicia talked about her Zane. Gomez told Reginald Peter was out of town. He fumed. He said he'd be back in Paraguay tonight.
Marissa on the plane to Bay City recalled lovely times with Reginald. The perfection of their life together, like Catlin and Brittany's. Perfecter, even.
Aunt Helen said Mary had become dissatisfied with her lot of poverty and children. She and Vince fought about money. Mary took a job at the Loves' secretly and enjoyed her freedom as a servant for the richest family in Bay City. How too thrilling. She admired Reginald Love as a paragon of manhood and held his example up to Vince. Kathleen: did they admire one another from afar or up close? Was Reginald Love having an affair with his maid Mary McKinnon.
Scott and Cheryl had an argument about daughters being like their mothers. She said she and Kathleen and MJ were all different and they all had the same mother. She asked if guys were supposed to be like their fathers. He was adamant in denying being anything like his father. Vince put Cheryl to work.
The police emerged from Ludwig's room. Reginald began chuckling repulsively. Ludwig admitted to killing Herrmann and Sally with specific orders from Reginald not to get violent. Reginald left. Everyone but Adam got upset. Adam has a Plan.
Marissa is worried. She can't imagine why Reginald is in Bay City and why the magazine accuses him of such terrible things .
Aunt Helen hedged. She pretty much said "let's not spoil the pretty illusion that is our memory of Mary". She went to pick up a friend at the airport.
