ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

January 27, 1987

Felicia is in a good mood. She's planning a romantic Valentine's Day party.

Adam told MJ his parents had been very taken with her last night. She said she'd felt like a cantaloupe. He kissed her. Their brunching with the Corys. Someone phoned from vice. It turned out to be Chad.

Michael is computerizing Reginald to find the photograph. [I don't get it.] Wallingford suggested that That Old Carrot might have told the truth for once and it had been a photograph of the twins. Michael convinced him that that possibility was quite as remote as Reginald's having had nothing to do with Zane's death. Wallingford subsided.

Vince coughed. He struggled up to the door and ran into Mary. She shoved him back inside. He told her she was harboring a fugitive. She said she didn't think she could get into too much more trouble. She said he had either to clear himself or give himself up. He refused to give himself up.

Felicia told Mitch he was invited. All of her best friends are coming.

Chad told MJ Nancy had given him the number and he had to see her. She refused. Adam assured his parents MJ would be off the vice squad soon.

Wallingford ogled Michael's assistants. Michael wondered what could have been in the photograph. Wally phoned Tops. Mitch told him about the party. Wallingford rushed off to fix Felicia. [It's her wedding anniversary.]

Julie Anne asked Greg about medical school. He said it was boring. He fled when Tony and Nancy appeared. Tony pointed out Linda at the bar and told Nancy and Julie that she was a high-class call girl. He left right after she did. Nancy told Julie she was terribly in love.

Adam's parents love MJ. Vivian told MJ that Adam had never asked them to meet any of his women. She and Alfred fell in love at first sight and they've been married happily forever. It all hinges on trust and sharing. She said Adam would be just the same to be married to. [not that she is pushing marriage on her, no.] Fidelity comes into it. Rachel took Mac aside and told him she wanted their marriage to be like Alfred and Vivian's again. He said they had a long way to go.

Vince told Mary he'd fled from Cass and Kathleen and sent them on their honeymoon. She wishes she had the memories he has. Michael phoned and asked her to talk to Reginald because he loves her and she loves him. He played. She agreed to ask again. Vince asked how much she loved That Old Carrot.

Alfred and Vivian left. MJ assured Adam she loved his parents and vice was worrying her. She said she was considering leaving the force. He was taken aback. He said he didn't want her to make a rash decision she would regret. She asked if it would upset him if she left the force. He said he would be behind her whatever she decided to do but he wanted her to let him talk to the captain first. She said she wanted them to have what his parents had. He was pleased.

Chad gave Linda the orders for a Mr. Smith. She told him she was getting a little tired of this but she's hanging in there for him.

Felicia talked to Crystal Gayle on the phone.

Vince asked Mary if she were hiding him to protect Reginald. She denied it. He is very callous about Reginald's illness. He said he was leaving. She told him he wasn't and started taking off his clothes. She's going to give him an alcohol rub. He said he could take care of himself. She yelled at him. She is in charge.

MJ thanked Rachel for the brunch. Adam attacked Mac about Tony. Mac was unreasonable. Adam said they couldn't afford to have press interference in a case with a possible serial killer. [Greg the Ripper. Haha.] Mac's stuck to his guns. FREEDOM OF THE PRESS.

Linda told Chad she thought someone was following her. [Tony or Greg? What if it's Tony the Ripper? Couldn't be. It doesn't scan.] He told her not to be silly. He said MJ would come around. She warned him that MJ was a tough cookie. He said he'd take care of MJ.

Wallingford screwed his courage to the sticking place and told Felicia he didn't think the party was such a good idea on her wedding anniversary. She told him not to worry about her. She's not cracking up, she's creating a tributary* to Zane. Wally approved. They are good friends. They are the last of their old gang.

Mary rubbed Vince. He told her a little about the children's illnesses. Kathleen had the mumps. Mary was a good mother and beautiful. He told her to run along to the hospital. She hesitated but he insisted. He drifted off. She wondered what would have happened if she had been allowed to choose her own husband all those years ago. She's sorry they never had the chance.

Rachel cruised past Mary's Place. Ada wasn't there. Nancy convinced her to talk to her instead. [She is behaving as one not long for this world.] Rachel said she didn't want Mitch to ruin her marriage. She wants Mitch a little. Nancy wasn't very helpful.

Mitch told Felicia he didn't think he was coming if Mac and Rachel were. She told him not to be silly.

Linda told Chad she was beginning to think MJ had had the right idea — get out while you still have a life.

Mitch doesn't want to be at a celebration of love with Rachel. Wallingford bugged Felicia about her being in love with Mitch.

Linda heard a noise in the car park and called out to it. "who's there?"

Mary heard Vince muttering in his sleep about loving her.
