ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS

September 26, 1986

Matthew is thrilled that Mitch went to jail because he wanted to be with him. Mitch said he had been wrong to do it. Matthew asked Rachel what else he hadn't been told.

Cass hid.

Brittany refused to go to the wedding. The baby has a fever. Peter ignored her and kept investigating.

Jake and Marley were thrilled to find Michael had sent his tux and her gown. Marley feels a little bad about the lack of friends and family. Marley found a couple of buttons missing from her dress and insisted on having them sewn on. She rushed off with Mrs Burns (Justice of the Peace's wife). Jake looked askance at the pink cummerbund he unearthed.

Peter's investigations were in vain. Donna was no help. Marley phoned Donna to be neurotic about the delays. Donna soothed her. She phoned the florist. Brittany stopped around in a fret because Miss Weston is reading a novel and eating chocolates. She refused to call in Peter's doctor. Michael called his limo to take her to the hospital. (Hospital? Doctor? JAMIE. Ugh.)

Matthew is thrilled with Mitch. Rachel sent him to clean his room. Mitch attempted to reason with Rachel. He said Matthew was a symbol of how he felt about her. She ordered him out.

The security chumps passed on. Cass was able to find the file he wanted.

Michael checked on the refreshments with Ada. Peter drifted through behaving strangely. Michael told him Brittany had taken the baby to the hospital not Donna's hospital.

The McKinnon sisters and Greg and Scott and Nancy packed things up for the reception, with Ada supervising. No one had any room to give Cheryl a ride so Ada recruited Scott although he's uninvited.

Gomez drove Reginald and the blonde to the wedding in the storm.

Marley appeared before Jake in her wedding dress. The Catlin and Sally reunion song played and scenes of recent fun times in Key West were shown. (I thought the music inappropriate, but that's neither here nor there.) Jake hollered for a wedding. Mrs Burns told them Mr Burns was ON THE ROOF TRYING TO FIX LEAKS. Jake flipped out. Mrs Burns gibbered. She implored them not to leave and rushed off to fetch her husband. Marley soothed Jake.

Everyone assured Peter Brittany would turn up safe and sound. They went to the wedding without him.

Brittany went to Bayside Clinic. She shoved the feet of some derelict off a chair and sat down. He put his feet in her lap. (It must be Jamie as a tired resident. He seems to have trouble with women mistaking him for one of the lower element. Think of MJ taking him for a criminal.) She yelled at him. He slept on.

Cass clutched his file to his bosom and ran into a guard with a dog.

Mrs Burns fetched Mr Burns in. Jake asked if he could marry them now. Mrs Burns insisted Mr Burns needed a hot bath. "YOU DON'T NEED A BATH," said Jake dangerously. Mrs Burns overrode his objections. "WE ARE GETTING MARRIED BEFORE THE BATH," said Jake even more dangerously. Mr Burns asked for the license. Marley said she'd given it to Mrs Burns. Mrs Burns denied having it.. Jake was speechless with rage. No license, no wedding. He started yelling. Mrs Burns tried to recall what had happened to the license. Mr Burns and Jake went to check the sewing room.

Cass managed to pass himself off as Müller from the Home Office. He was testing security and this guard was too late in coming. Cass was convincing. The guard was frightened. Cass sent him to fetch his supervisor and fled.

Rachel and Mitch had a relatively non-violent chat.

Peter told his father where Marley and Jake were. Reginald gushed over the blonde. They headed for the Burns'.

Brittany's derelict sat up and apologised. She cringed away from him. The nurse took the derelict in ahead of Brittany's baby. Brittany took offence.

Rachel got upset and cried. She told Mitch they didn't have a future. He was kind to her. He assured her he sincerely didn't want revenge and promised not to take Matthew from her.

Cass collected Kathleen from Mary's place. She told him about Dr Lewis. He told her what he'd been doing. They're in on the wedding, I can tell.

The license was found. Michael and Donna and Vince arrived. Now our happiness is complete.

Rachel told Mitch Matthew didn't want to go back to Briarwood but the contact between them [her and Mitch] would be minimal.

Brittany was received by derelict Dr James Frame. He looked at the baby. Enter Peter. "Don't touch that child."

Let's get the show on the road. Marley sees the delays for what they were. Donna helped her with her headpiece. Michael appeared with a decent bouquet. Marley is glad they are her parents. Tears and sentimental farewells. Michael took Marley's arm to escort her up the aisle.
