ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

November 26, 1984

Sandy was sickeningly complimentary to Carl. He pretty much denied all sense of family loyalty. Carl proposed doing something illegal. Sandy objected. Carl talked him 'round.

Catlin Ewing, the man with convenient acrophobia (like Cousin Gladys' traveling neuritis) has tied a bunch of sheets together and escaped from the hotel with Cass & Kathleen's help. Felipe arrived and found the sheets under Catlin's bed. Kathleen: O, so THAT's where my sheets went. Cass said things about Señor Ewing being so much in love with Sally. He told Felipe the real reason for Catlin and Sally coming to Majorca. Felipe disbelieved it. He said things about the wild chase of the goose. Cass decided it was NOT a good idea to admit to knowing Catlin's whereabouts. Felipe sounds sarcastic "and Señor Ewing is out looking for the love of his life." He hopes Catlin hasn't gone out to Mr. Wells' ranch again. Cass: Oh no, Felipe. That was a wild chase of the goose.

Catlin is skulking around the grounds of the ranch, natch. He passed under a balcony just SECONDS before Sally walked out onto it. Ross (in his utterly sinister turtleneck) led her back inside.

Sandy is making stilted polite conversation with Mac & Rachel. He advised (perhaps that's too strong a word) Rachel to take her sculptures off the market as Carl is planning to accumulate more.

Peter's at the police station ratting on Emily. (Boy, I'd hate to be one of the women Peter Love has loved in his time. If I'D killed a man, possibly two, and attempted a third, I'd still want "the man I loved" to be far, far away from the police station.) He got Donna sprung. MJ apologized to Donna.

Sally's not eating. Frank's talking about his daughter. The party was in her honour. She died at 21. Sally reminds him of her. He misses her. He urged Sally to eat. Frank promised that as long as he's in charge no harm will come to her.

Outdoor footsteps, presumably Catlin's. Barking of a dog. A dull thud (which we can assume is Catlin falling over. Have we got our measuring tapes ready?)

Blaine begged Sandy to trust her. She's sure he's up to something but he won't tell her what.

Emily's arrived at the ranch. Ross called Carl at Donna's and asked what to do about Catlin Ewing. Carl: Something. ANYTHING. Carl told him not to call there any more. Donna returned home. Carl kissed her exuberantly and left. Marley came rocketing in out of nowhere to welcome Donna home. Peter would have left but Donna wants his whole family to be there.

Sally ate her food. (Rule one of being a prisoner: don't eat or drink unless you're on the brink of starvation/dehydration. It could be drugged. I'm not saying that this is, mind, but it's a possibility.)

Kathleen: Do you think they'll arrest us? Cass: Well, I don't think so. We haven't broken any laws, have we? Kathleen: You're the lawyer. Cass: Well, maybe a couple of little ones. But it's Catlin they're after. Kathleen is suffering qualms of guilt. She thinks perhaps they shouldn't have let Catlin go. Cass claims that Catlin is a very determined man and they wouldn't've been able to stop him had they tried. He cherishes a hope that Catlin will look for Cecile while he's at it. Kathleen says Cecile needs no looking after. Cass: Hey, leave her alone, all right? Kathleen: HEY, I am not KNOCKING her, I'm just saying that she's a tough cookie (she sort of trailed off there). Cass is being arrogant and saying that they compete for him (which they do, but STILL.) Kathleen told him his ego was incredible. A policeman returned and arrested them for aiding and abetting a fugitive. Cass: He just left! Kathleen: I have a strong urge to kill you coming on again, Cass. (here it degenerated into a lot of excited yelling, of which I caught a few phrases) Cass: Kathleen, stop! Kathleen: You said not to worry! Cass: Very violent woman . . . now I want the law to PROTECT me here . . . I couldn't've stopped him, he's bigger than I am. Kathleen: You couldn't've stopped anything. Cass: You abetted and aided too, y'know. Kathleen: I didn't. Cass: I mean . . . ANYWAY it was very weird and funny.

Marley wants them all to go to the symphony together. Things are sounding strained. Donna's worried about Peter. He insists that Emily really loved him.

Mark's hungry. Alice: What happened to the consommé? Mark: I ate it. Alice: Yeah? Mark: It evaporated. Alice: Or maybe you threw it into the plant that Brian gave you. Mark wants REAL food. Something SUBSTANTIAL. He's kissing the doctor. More like, the doctor's kissing him. They had a very strange dialogue about Alice's fickleness. Dr. Fickle to you, honey. Suffice it to say it was weird. She went out. He tried to get up or something. She returned to find him whimpering because he can't move his legs.

Larry's back on the force. He wishes he knew where Catlin & Sally are. Nobody knows anything about Emily. It is suspected that she poisoned Peter too.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch. Frank's going to keep Catlin on a boat for a bit. Ross wants to kill him. Catlin's reviving (hearsay).

The muse just isn't with Rachel. Blaine tried to tell Rachel that Sandy is plotting against Carl but Rachel doesn't believe her. A parcel came for Rachel with a sculpture all bashed up inside. They say Carl's SICK. Really SICK. (They say that falling in love is wonderful. Wonderful. So they say.)

Señor Ewing has come to (again hearsay). Ross is going to have Catlin killed aboard the boat (against Frank's wishes. I'm sure Carl would call it something. ANYTHING.) His only regret is that he won't be there to see it. Darn.

MARK IS THE WHIMPERINGEST PERSON.
