ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

November 23, 1984

Cecile is none too thrilled about this party. She says she wishes Catlin were there (his presence is so much more imposing than Cass', you see). She told Cass of the dangerousness of Ross.

Sally tried to talk Frank into letting her go. When that didn't work she splashed coffee in his face and made a break for it. She was apprehended by Ross at the door. He's holding her in a vise-like grip. Ross was threatening. Sally was defiant. Frank was placating. Sally's being stored in the bunkhouse.

Alice is standing guard over Mark. Aunt Liz convinced her to take a break.

Cass told Cecile to dance with Santiago and steal a key from him. She didn't want to but he made her. Some plumpish woman approached Cass (subtitled) and told him what a handsome caballero he was. She's dancing with him.

Felicia presented Jamie with her 6 inspired chapters. (When she said inspired Lily said "aided and abetted." Wallingford said, "seduced and abandoned." Felicia's unthrilled. They collapsed in fits of giggles.) Lily and Wallingford have a list of romance novel words. Sample: surrender, breathless, ice fishing. Jamie's going to read the 6 chapters. Mr. Bellwethers (or some such) is their guest on the show today. ("Bellwethers," says Wallingford, "what a great name. I'm going to write that down.")

Alice returned. Mark's heart went weird, much to her alarm. (DIE DIE DIE we urged him.)

Blaine attacked Sandy about Carl's artistic taste. She says he hasn't any human feeling except malice. She says he's not human but some sort of devil. Sandy played dumb but Blaine suspects. Carl came in. Sandy fired Blaine.

Blood pressure's dropping. Mark had an OUT OF LIFE EXPERIENCE but Alice's ravings brought him back. I'm embarrassed for her. "Please please stay," she begged. "Please don't leave me." Now really. Her attitude seems to be "you can't do this to me." It's terrible. It's so bad. It's SO AWFUL.

Cass wants to leave before he's asked to dance again, but Cecile's not returned and he was glad enough to approach his previous woman when one of the known criminals appeared. The woman's rattling on in Spanish and Cass keeps saying things like "My mother's very fond of those too" like he hasn't a clue.

Bellwethers does bird calls. Obscure ones at that. Lily keeps giving "interesting facts" about the bird at hand. Felicia says things like "FASCINATING." (O dear I think she called him Mr. Bedwetter. O dear.) Wallingford wants her hero and heroine to go on a birdwatching outing now. Jamie congratulated her on her brilliant PARODY.

Sandy wants to meet Carl for breakfast. He sort of apologized for Blaine and assured Carl that her feelings weren't his. Carl said Sandy was like a son to him. He's going to reward Sandy's loyalty.

Cecile found Kathleen. They quarreled a good deal. (mostly getting in barbs about Cass being fonder of one than the other). Cecile outfitted Kathleen for escape in her cloak and mask. Kathleen left. Cecile (maskless) put a lampshade on her head. She talks to herself. (I LIKE her. I know what she's doing, at any rate.) From that gasp I think we can assume she ran into Ross.

Mark has regained consciousness. He sounds feeble. He's whimpering.

Sandy asked Brian not to give up Donna's case. Brian thinks Carl might force him off. Sandy told Brian about the sacking of Blaine. Sandy thinks Carl's father enters into the picture somehow.

Ross admired Cecile's lampshade. Cecile told a large number of barefaced lies to him. He's unconvinced. (Ross: Where's the girl? Cecile: What girl? Ross: The McKinnon girl. The girl who was in this room. Cecile: You're working too hard, Ross. I'm really worried about you. Ross: Yeah? Well you'd better being to worry about yourself. Cecile: No, I'm serious. Really. Because you're HALLUCINATING, obviously. Ross: How did you get in here? Cecile: What do you mean? I just walked through the door. Ross: That door was locked. Cecile: That door was not locked. It was wide open. Ross: What are these? Cecile: What? Ross: These. These keys. They don't belong to you. Cecile: I don't know. They must've just -- I DON'T KNOW I just came in here to freshen up my makeup. Ross: Yeah, and put on your lampshade. Cecile: I know it's silly, but women like to freshen up their makeup. Y'know? We're always -- so now that I've freshened up, I think I'm going to go downstairs, if you don't mind. Ross: Yes, I do mind, Cecile. As a matter of fact I mind a great deal.)

Peter came to see Mark. He asked him to try to remember who shot him. After many whimperings he told them it was EMILY.

Cass left with Kathleen (I think he thinks she's Cecile).

Cecile is complaining bitterly because Ross is going to lock her in. She says she's going to tell Frank. Ross pulled out a knife I think from the sound of it.
