ANOTHER WORLD DAILY SYNOPSIS.

May 26, 1988

Michael carried Donna home. Bridget remarked they'd come home a day early. Donna stared when Bridget produced Mikey.

Jake was setting a romantic table when Marley came in. She issued a ban on lovemaking.

Lisa approached Jamie in the hospital. She bore a basket.

Cass found Nicole preparing for a date with Drew. As usual, Cass insulted Drew, and, as usual, Nicole said Drew was cordial and so on. She's a nitwit. She refused to argue. When she left the room Cass phoned Felicia to tell her Nicole and Drew were going to Tops for dinner and these were desperate times.

Lisa engaged Jamie in friendly conversation. She was nice about Sam. He told her Vicky really was good with Mikey. She invited him to come on a picnic with her. He suggested they go to the residents' lounge.

Michael realized that Donna was bothered by Mikey's presence. She was upset that Vicky had told him about Mikey before the honeymoon. They clung to each other.

Felicia: Cass, you have to calm down. Cass: CALM DOWN? Didn't you hear what I said? Marsden is taking her out to dinner tonight. Felicia: GASP! DINNER. Oh, honey, I didn't realize. Cass: here, at Tops. Felicia: oh, I hope they're not having APPETIZERS. Cass: you know it's really nice that a situation that is DEEPLY, profoundly distressing to me is nothing but fodder for your ever so dry wit. Felicia: Cass, she's having dinner with a business associate for heaven's sake. Cass: he is slime. Felicia: according to you. Cass: he's hurt her before. Felicia: honey, you have hurt every woman you've ever gone out with. Cass: oh, that's beside the point. He's trying to take Cory Publishing away from Mac. Felicia: Oho, death. Cass: I thought you'd see it my way. She agreed that Nicole had to be made to see the light. They missed Wally. Felicia said he could have helped. Cass said they needed a secret crazy person. Enter Liz. Cass pounced. "She looks sane, Felicia, but she had old Drewski spinning the other day." Cass explained the situation. Liz said they'd nail Drew to the wall.

Donna informed Michael that he was going to help write the thank-you notes. When she found out Marley was still in town Donna rushed off to see her. Michael made a phone call.

Adam asked Vince about MJ's new restaurant and Minneapolis. Vince said MJ was doing great. Adam confessed it had been hard for him to accept the prostitution thing. Vince admitted the same. Adam said he missed MJ. Vince advised him to call her. Adam knows the home and business numbers by heart, although he's never used them. He dialed. [(580*) 876-5542] He smiled with relief when she didn't scream and hang up on him. "It's good to hear your voice too. Look, we haven't spoken in a long time. It's STUPID, and it's my fault." Vince left him alone.

Jamie and Lisa chatted until he got beeped. She suggested they talk again after his shift. He was pleased. She packed up the picnic. Adam found her. He told her he was going to see MJ. He was so happy, it was adorable. They wished each other luck and kissed in a friendly fashion. Jamie stumbled across them. He stared.

Jake seemed to consider he'd abased himself enough. He wants Marley to forgive him for some transgression or other. He had just asked [with trepidation] if she was gearing up to ask for a divorce when Donna burst in.

Cass and Felicia observed Drew and Nicole at dinner. Drew was complaining about the slow service. [Felicia had arranged it.] He was not paying much attention to Nicole's design chatter. I don't think Drew needs much help from Cass and Felicia. He consistently insults the waiters, mostly for not being in New York. Cass exulted. Nicole hates that sort of thing. A waiter deliberately spilled hors d'oeuvres on Drew. Enter Liz as the Countess Swajeska. Julie Anne came in with a date, jeopardizing Liz' cover. Cass and Felicia appealed to Wally for help. Felicia diverted Julie Anne and Freddie to the terrace. Liz joined Drew and Nicole. Drew refused to discuss business. Nicole bridled when he called her sweetie. She insisted they dance. Felicia in desperation, produced a mariachi band out of thin air. "The music of my youth!" cried the Countess Swajeska, and began twirling Drew about. Soon the whole restaurant was dancing wildly. Cass was playing the maracas and wearing a moustache.

Donna didn't notice Marley and Jake were uncomfortable. Michael arrived. He hugged Jake and Marley and suggested they stay with them. Marley agreed, oddly. Michael and Donna left. Marley told Jake she didn't want to spoil her parents' happiness by telling them that she and Jake were splitting up.

Lisa put candles and flowers out and music on. Jamie arrived and accused her of waiting for Adam. She told him he was ridiculous and Adam was going to see MJ. He was not appeased. She dredged up Vicky.

Cass discarded his moustache and sombrero and covered up the rest of the outfit with his robe. Nicole came into the bathroom for an aspirin. She complained about Drew's behavior. Suddenly she ripped open Cass' bathrobe, revealing his mariachi costume, and told him she'd recognized his handiwork as soon as the waiter had dumped hors d'oeuvres in Drew's lap. They argued. She said she was going to tell him what was wrong with him.

Jamie told Lisa he'd never loved anybody but her but he guessed it wasn't enough. He left. She blew out the candles.

She was delighted. Michael provided Donna with a ton of tulips. He told her there were more in the bedroom.

Jake walked out.

Nicole yelled at Cass. Cass told her Drew was slime. She said he wasn't much better and returned to her room. She reviewed the evening and laughed merrily. Cass looked vindicated.
