The Mary's Place crew argued about what it would do if it won the Irish sweepstakes. MJ moped in. She made cryptic noises about still wanting to pursue her dream of singing. Vince has a dream of a classy restaurant.
Jamie found out Adam knew about Donna and was on his way.
Fight. John yelled to Donna to run.
The police found MJ. She was directed to Adam's wicked bachelor pad. She fled. Vince worried. Scott and Zack came by with a small girl called Becky and her doll. Her parents are divorced. The mother deserted and the father applied for custody, but he was arrested for stealing to support them and he has a criminal record. So Zack stepped in to help the underdog, as usual. Cheryl looked after Becky and Sherry, the doll. Becky has to go to a shelter until a foster home can be found. Cheryl coaxed Becky to eat.
Jamie tried to relax Lisa but the killer feelings were too strong. She said it was like the night her parents died.
Yelling and echoing sobs. Donna screamed when John fell off the lighthouse. She rushed to [his] side and promised to take care of him if he didn't die.
MJ arrived at Adam's and explained to Jamie and Lisa what had led Adam to Donna. Lisa told her someone was fighting the killer but she didn't think it was Adam. MJ wouldn't let Lisa go to the lighthouse. She said Adam would get the killer.
Donna told John the past didn't matter. Michael and Adam arrived. She fell apart. Michael looked at John's bleeding. Adam sent for an ambulance.
MJ told Jamie about John. Adam had told her to look after Lisa. All three left for the hospital.
Quelle horrible surprise. Dr "killer" Glaser went back to his room and poured himself a drink. Mother berated him for having failed to kill Donna. He said he'd killed John. [Would that he had. Dr Glaser is going to have to pick his contractual obligees better.]
Cheryl talked about her dolls and proposed a tea party and a bath and a dress for Sherry. She left Becky in Ada's hands. Zack found a shelter. Vince didn't like the sound of it but Zack assured him it was run by good people. A blonde named Diane crept up behind Vince and treated him with familiarity. Scott reported he'd heard on the radio that Donna was all right but John was dead.
Hospital. Michael promised Donna John wouldn't die.
Mother ranted and raved over the radio. Dr Glaser perpetrated some fascinating childlike facial contortions. The radio said John wasn't dead, either. Mother ordered Dr Glaser to kill John because he'd seen his face.
Mary's Place reeled. Zack became unreasonable about the police. Vince turned his attention to Diane. They chatted. They seemed not to have seen each other in some time. They touched on Mary's portrait and Mary. Vince stopped seeing Diane when Mary returned. Diane said she'd missed him. Ada said Becky should have a proper home.
Bridget fussed at the hospital. Donna told her she could go home. Donna thanked Lisa brokenly. Michael hasn't told the impostor mother. Adam rolled up and fawned over Lisa with everyone else. Donna was unable to identify Dr Glaser. Adam took MJ aside and showed her the open letter he'd found at the lighthouse, only there was a single space after every period and Tony's in jail. Jamie came out to be medical and officious. He told MJ to take Lisa home, even though Lisa wanted to stick around.
John came around a little. Michael told him what a hero he was. Donna sobbed with gratitude.
Mother told Dr Glaser he had to kill John before he came to. Dr Glaser protested. Mother said John would identify him and promised his Reward.
Diane spoke meltingly to Vince. She said people would find out and tell Mary. He said there was nothing between him and Mary. Diane told him she'd always known he loved Mary but if things didn't work out she would be waiting in the wings. Exit Diane. Ada asked if Mary knew about her. Cheryl returned with some clothes for Sherry. She invited Becky home with her. Zack and Scott said she had to go to the shelter. Cheryl was distressed. Everyone said it was a shame.
Mother made a nuisance of herself. [Do they recast Mother's voice once a week, or what?] She commanded Dr. Glaser to kill John now.
John didn't say anything. Donna exploded with gratitude. Michael said suddenly, "John, you can't see, can you? John?"
